I rested for 10 days while recovering from a Covid infection and then picked this up today. It was perfect and helped me to keep my HR below 70% of max. But I was dewy like Aiko, and it was good to get the joints and muscles moving. It’s amazing how quickly stiffness settles in when you take a break! I stretched for a bit longer today. Thank you for sharing this!

I've been working out less regularly lately, and I'm trying to get back to daily exercise. Although I haven''t been sick, I've been a little achy, so I wanted to start out gently today. I did this workout first, followed by your most recent 10-minute walking video, and ending with the 5-minute kitchen workout. I feel great after doing this, and I'm hoping that I'll be able to find the time to keep it up during the rest of the week. Many thanks to you both for all you do!

I'm relieved your covid cases were on the milder side but so sorry you had to go through that! Please take good care of yourselves!! Really happy to see your slow & gentle return! I love that your channel provides so many safe and gradual ways to return to exercise after illness, injury or just those times when life gets in the way and fitness falls by the wayside. Four months ago, I was coming off a long illness and period of deconditioning. I'm only 47 but I was deconditioned. I used the videos in your "absolute beginners" playlist to return to formal exercise ... I did ONLY the videos in that list for at least 2-3 weeks. Gradually began adding some 10-minute walk videos, then the slightly longer walks and strength videos, then some of the HIITS and line-dances, and now 4 months after I started I'm able to dabble in some of the intermediate moves and higher-intensity variations, while I've also moved from 2# to 5# on a few of the strength moves (while keeping to lighter weights on harder ones). I truly don't think I would've made such smooth, steady or enjoyable progress on my own. On my own, I probably would've gone too fast and injured myself (I've done that before), or be so cautious that I'd get bored before making progress. And I just wasn't getting the whole-body movements, strengthening and heart-rate increases out of my solo neighborhood walks. Truly grateful for the wonderful knowledge, virtual companionship, variety and safety-first encouragement. You are doing fantastic work and I so appreciate it.

First, I am SO happy that both of you came through after COVID. Although I haven't contracted COVID to date (I'm what you'd call a "forever masker"--no guarantees) I took this routine and ran with it as if it was a cardio exercise and ramped everything up, adding embellishments to make my heart work harder. New routines excite me, and this one did its job. Lovely banter between you two. Thank you, as always, for coming up with another very worthy angle..Anastasia

Welcome back, Aiko, and glad to see you both back in action and fun interaction! I sympathize with both of you for having been ill with COVID, but I'm glad to hear that you both had mild cases and are on the mend. I guess that explains why Aiko wasn't in last week's video and why the one from 2 weeks ago seemed to have been recorded a while back (your previous pillows)? Thanks so much for this gentle exercise video! I started back to exercise with one of your other gentle 15-minute workouts when I was recovering from COVID in December, but maybe I could have used this one even earlier in my recovery. It also looks good for any time that I'm not feeling up to a more vigorous workout or as a prelude to a more challenging workout. I'm so glad you're both feeling better, but don't be surprised or alarmed if it takes you several weeks to get fully back to yourselves. That was my experience this winter. Take good care of yourselves and continue getting better and better!♥ (P.S. Congratulations on 150K subscribers!!!!! 🙌🎊🎉😃)

We are so happy you're feeling better with our exercises. Losing weight is a combination of a healthy diet and exercise. An exercise program that includes high intensity interval training (HIIT) has been shown to help lose belly fat. The key is to get your heart rate up during repeated exercise intervals of 30 seconds or more and then bring it down during rest intervals. We have lots of HIIT workouts that can meet you at your level from 5 to 40 minutes: bit.ly/3MbznVl. Also, strength training builds muscle -- not only is this good for overall strength to live your life fully, but muscle burns more calories than fat so the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn at resting state! We invite you to check our our many strength workouts: bit.ly/3ogXF3G Mom says hi and to keep moving! Thank you so much for moving with us everyday!❤️

This is so helpful to know because I’m in the midst of a Covid infection now! What can I do to keep from sliding backwards while I’m under the weather? I was making such good progress before this hit and I am all ready feeling stiff and sore from not moving for a few days 😩

Sorry you're under the weather. Please check with your doctor on what is best for you from an exercise standpoint. Hello friends , i injured my leg & I've become immobilized . I'm so concerned about not moving because of fear of blood clots . I hope to safely exercise with you as soon as possible because of your education , compassion & encouragement . My condition is still complicated but with medical follow up I'll be more informed to continue my most helpful movement routine you provided . Because of my time with you , my fall was less risky as I had more strength & stamina . Cannot thank you enough.

Oh my! So sorry to hear the unhappy news! It's understandable to be concerned about the effects of not exercising! Please check with your doctor to see what would be the best routines to keep your recovery safe. The fact that you have been exercising was certainly helpful to brunt serious injury so that's a good thing! For now, rest and help your body to get back on track. The time to move will happen once your body is feeling strong again! We're here for you! See you soon! 🧡
