Retired nurse, 44 years. Assisting on abscesses in every area you can imagine: my favorite. People are in such pain, and just releasing that pocket of pus, gives them such relief. Of course, there’s lots more involved such as packing and antibiotics but so many didn’t want to help because of the sights and smells. I’m your girl for gross……it brings such immediate relief. Why I love your channel. Palpable how much you care about our four footed friends. 💙

I seriously thought something was wrong with this cow's stifle or hock when she walked in, and watching her walk out and bending her joints and putting weight on the foot more confidently with each step brought back so many memories. I used to work with horses, and it never ceased to amaze me how an abscess could have us all convinced the horse's leg was broken. Then a visit from the vet and farrier, a popped puss pocket, and some TLC had them back to work. So glad that's what it was!

I think he read the comment , and thus his counter comment at the start of this video.

I then went on to become an ICD-9 coder (medical coding for diseases and medical procedures) for a home health agency then went into health insurance first as a customer rep then onto enrollment and insurance verification. As for this cow, I was so happy to see the pus squirting out because I knew you would be able to help her after your initial thought that maybe you wouldn't be able to relieve her discomfort. Was never so happy to see drainage squirting out of a hoof as I was with this one. I'll bet the cow was pretty happy also.

I followed the traditional path of a high-achieving student: I went off to a 4-year liberal arts school (studied technical theater), developed a second anxiety disorder, didn't finish my degree, moved back in with my parents, and alternated between minimum-wage jobs and unemployment, all the while feeling like I'd let everyone down. Classic! Through trial and error, I eventually chose to go to a respiratory therapy program at the local community college. I graduated at age 30 with an associate's degree. Now I love my work and make a great income. I'm still with my parents but I'm saving up quickly to buy a home. I'm thinking about medical school someday, but my first priories are buying a home and paying off $23k in loans from my first try at college, then getting my bachelor's degree. Once I've got the bachelor's, I'll have options like medical school, physician assistant school, and advanced practice respiratory school. Finances first though. I have a lot more peace now that I've got enough money that I don't have to worry constantly, and I'm excited to be working towards long-term financial stability.

That's awesome! I have achieved the same thing but without school.
I got super lucky getting into us steel and at the department I work at. I went from making barely any money to making over 110k last year only from 8 months of working! And great free health insurance and benefits.
I'm only stating what I made to show that it's very possible for dream come trues! I had a lot of legal issues and drug problems and even with my background check they gave me a chance because of my resume.
Just like you now I have no money problems and for once have my own place and a lot in my bank account. I am so grateful! Congrats to you too!
Sorry if I seemed douchey to anyone I'm just trying to show my story to help motivate people as I would've never even applied for this job if I hadn't read some comments myself and got motivated.

My dream job was to be a wife and mother. During that dream, several part-time jobs took place. I was able to help my mother and big sister in their last days with cancer, became guardian for my younger siblings after the death of their mom/ our dad earlier, and primary care giver to my grandson going on 8 years. Never really had an outside career, yet I was so blessed.
Now, while still taking care of my grandson, my days are spent with my chickens, my garden, and 20 hour a week pizza prepping job. God has been very good to me!
I love the care you give to those beautiful living creations.

I escaped school as soon as I did my GCSE's with no idea what I wanted to do. Mum suggested I try hairdressing after cutting my hair and doing an ok job of it so first was an apprentiship for that. Decided I didn't enjoy it after a few months. Got a job working in Iceland after drifting around for awhile and stayed there for 11 years. Hated it by the end but a friend got me a job as a game master in an escape room. Never looked back, absolutly love it and made more friends through said job (Which never feels like work) They also took us to Alton Towers for our team day out which after 15 years of waiting to go again was awesome!
At least I did meet my boyfriend at Iceland tho

I went to a BTS concert in Chicago a few years ago & went to an Escape Room with some new friends I met. It was hard working with strangers. I think it would be easier with people you know.
My favorite room was called Long Live the Queen (or some like that.) We should have brought a paper & pencil. We had to get hints from the Game Room Master a couple times. It was so hard, but we actually solved it with about 5 minutes left on the clock. Lol.
I Highly recommend for people to do Escape Rooms!!! It's a blast.

I wanted to be a filmmaker in high school. Ended up taking my dad’s advice and followed in his footsteps as a plumber for 10 years. Joined the military. Got out and did field service starting up industrial plants and working on printing presses. Went back to plumbing for a year and then went college to be an automation engineer. And now that’s what I do, automation engineering.

Love your comment about career change! I studied art history in university until I dropped out after junior year. Been working in payroll for the past 23+ years. Going back to school now for structural engineering while growing a hobby woodworking side business. You never know where life will take you!
So glad you were able to help this lady!
