in almost every land, you see the same show : Ramadan for so-called "muslims" is now like christmas for fake "christians", a party, a feast, a social event (non-religious whatsoever), a family dinner, hanging out late at night with friends (or buying and cooking food and stuffs by daylight)
it's not, for them, the Holy Month of transmission and Revelation (El Koran el Karim) anymore, the month of Ramadan, it's now the month of ftour (or iftar ,dinner or whatever you want to call that)
plus when your bellly is overloaded (not to mention ramadan food is often sweet and fat), it's hard to pray properly, if they even care about praying
believe me, i'm actually fasting, and i've learned some things about spirituality

Andrew - Ramadan is a holy month in the Islamic calendar- and Muslims all over the world observe it as one of the obligations to fulfill the five pillars of Islam- so from your footnote - I inform you that it is not “a cultural event or celebration “ if non Muslims share and feel the festivities of food and family time and sharing time which Muslims do - they are most welcome for this is a time to share !
You should do proper research of these kind of beautiful events before you inform others in your blog - this is how many things are not understood in its proper form or importance.
