      Make sure you let them free roam and do a LOT of reaserch. When i got my rabbit i took terrible care of her sadly, i don't want any other animals to go through what she did

    My bunnies were free range too, and it was lovely. They were clean, they had places where they could dig or eat in two rooms and it was adorable to see them pet-bowing at my family or dancing around my feet.
    It's a shame rabbits are still viewed as being garden and hutch animals when they can become such fantastic members of the family. I hope that this view (I'm in the UK) will change and they'll be seen as the pint-sized balls of long eared personality that they are... who'll even offer a free wire-tidying service ;)

      It really is wonderful to have them free range and they remind me of having a cat or dog living in your room, I love waking up to them sitting on my bed! It really is a shame! the only time I'd say it would be okay to house them outside is if they lived in a shed that had heating/air conditioning for the different weather conditions!

      Yes! I would love to have my rabbits inside, and as I am being told I can’t have them living inside. I am sorry about this. There hutch is massive. It is not the example shown! It has a ramp upstairs that is massive, they have a playroom at the back and a litter try and a massive hay bag with water and many more things! We don’t have too much space to let a bunny roam free, but they can come inside when they want to! They have many toys, and a massive main part, we have also put an extensive run! For some reason, my two bunnies don’t at all like being inside! They have a nice wind and rain cover! I hope you know how much I love my bunnies and how much I do for them! For me personally, I think that my bunnies are better outside! They have :outlay been outside most of their life, as they were bread outside! ❤️

    Oooh I love your new intro and the font you used! Your eye makeup also looks very pretty and vibrant today. :) This is a great video to show the benefits of free roaming for rabbits. It's cute the way you covered the grids and reminds me of camping tents! They just need a mini campfire in the middle now with some marshmallows to roast! 😂

      @VictoriaRaechel  6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Oh my goodness you so lucky your bunnies don’t chew on everything! Lol! I can’t leave any puzzle mats exposed or they literally chew a giant hole in them and throw the pieces everywhere! Haha! Sterling also loves to chew carpet... 😠 Lol. Mocha and Lulu used to be fine with carpets thankfully but when Ebony and Sterling came I had to change everything up! 😂 They’re just little brats. Hehe! I was curious, do your bunnies get scared of the big water dishes you have? I know we used to have them for our cats and they kinda bubble when water comes out. I never knew if that would scare my bunnies or not.

    • @VictoriaRaechel
      @VictoriaRaechel  6 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      I know!! Thankfully they are so good!! Lola did chew the mats when I first got them but she eventually stopped phew! Haha nope!! They actually get excited because that means it’s fresh water!!

    I don't understand why rabbits are kept in cages, you wouldn't keep a dog or cat in a cage

    • @MadCheshireHat
      @MadCheshireHat 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      ... We actually did keep our cat in an old giant chinchilla cage. 😅 Not all the time, but when she was a kitten (we'd found her in one of our trees and she was sick with parasites, so... Yeah, needed to keep her contained) and young cat, we'd put her in there during the night for her own safety or during the day while we were gone and she couldn't be trusted to be loose. Then we switched to the old dog carrier and it became just a night thing, and she liked sleeping in there.

    My rabbit is a free range rabbit, but he lives outside. He walks around in the garden 24/7 and is not bothered by it. His cage is always open so he can get in when he wants to. He usually only goes inside to eat his food. When it rains he stays outside, even when there's snow! So my bunny loves the outdoors and is bassicly a wild bunny.

    • @ellaesposito
      @ellaesposito 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Guinea pigs and rabbits should both be kept on pairs!! For rabbits it's not as necessary but it is 1,000,000x better!! For guinea pigs, it is 1,000,000% NECESSARY to keep them i pairs!! Please do A TON of research on rabbits and especially on BONDING two rabbits before you decide to bring rabbits home!!

    • @kayleighz7034
      @kayleighz7034 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Oh you don’t need 2 rabbits if you have another pet that it can actually get along with btw, idk why the person above me is so triggered, you didn’t say anything wrong

    • @VictoriaRaechel
      @VictoriaRaechel  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Rabbit should be in pairs they are very social animals, another animal can not communicate the same as another rabbit would. Dogs and rabbits can get along if you introduce them properly but they should never be left alone together.

    • @ellaesposito
      @ellaesposito 6 ปีที่แล้ว

  • @JdeeGao

    I wish I could have my bunny free range. But it's a rental property. I do have her inside over the winter months, where she free ranges through my room, but she has to go in a cage overnight. But I try to only have pellets, water, fresh hay, a mineral chew and her chew toy. I don't get as many little bunny poops everywhere as she uses her litter box for it. But the main reason I'm commenting is I have that same purple ball for my little black mini lop Momo. She loves throwing it around along with the stand for my portable make up mirror. she make toys out of alot of my things.

    PLEASE HELP!!! I took my hamster outside in his cage yesterday (it was 20°c) and left him on the bench for an hour and thirty minutes (I realise this was really stupid and too long now and I won't do it again). This morning he woke me up making squeaky, almost like chicken noises (he's never done anything like this before) and he keeps making them all the time when he's awake, but they go when he's asleep. I don't have the option to see a vet. He's a 6 month old russian dwarf. What do I do? Please, please help!!!

      It definitely sounds like a respiratory infection as hamsters are very sensitive, may I ask why you cannot see a vet? It’s very important as your hamster will need antibiotics.

    My neighbors had a rabbit called Silver. And he lived outside in that box cage thing that you showed. He lived many years, but he died in a very tragic way ): The family was very sad, and the parents got a divorce and they werent happy at all...so they forgot Silver.
    So Silver starved to death. ): I am still really sad about it, me and my mom gave him food when the family werent home.

    Still trying to bond my two females :( amazed how you did it in such a short amount of time. I’ve been at it for months now. Was there biting at all? How did you deal with it/stop it? Stress bonding are the only times when the aggression stops.

    • @VictoriaRaechel
      @VictoriaRaechel  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely experienced biting and lots of hair pulling, as long as the biting doesn't result in bleeding I wouldn't be too concerned. Definitely start with stress bonding and then move to a very small neutral area, have a vacuum near by and dust pan to use to put between them when they start to get a little rowdy and turn on the vacuum which can help reset the mood since it's a scary noise. I hope maybe this can help :(

      Victoria Raechel rabbit hemorrhage disease it’s an airborne disease developed in the UK to control the population of rabbits( completely messed up they did this) 50%-100% of rabbits who contract this disease die within a few hours it causes them to bleed from the inside out. There’s an article on it on rabbit.org just type vhd into the search bar and it’s the first one to pop up

    My sister and I are getting rabbits and we will keep them in our rooms in a cage. We have a dog that is old but will the dog attack the rabbits? And should rabbits wear a harness or a collar if we walk them? 🐇

    • @VictoriaRaechel
      @VictoriaRaechel  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you're not sure if the dog will attack them or not I would avoid letting them have interaction or contact. Rabbits don't need to be walked, harnesses are a debated topic when it comes to rabbits.

    How can I introduce my cat and dog to the rabbit because I would like to let it be free range while being safe

    • @VictoriaRaechel
      @VictoriaRaechel  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would do it slowly and maybe put something in between them at first so they can just sniff. Though even once introduced rabbits should never be left unsupervised with cats or dogs.

    After picking up the unwanted poops, what do you do with the wanted poops? Also, my rabbit shits like a Doberman Pinscher with a double dose of diarrhea. Can I just pick that up with my bare hand? Should I smell or taste it first before putting it in the refrigerator?

    i just adopted my first bunny on the 7th! he's a holland lop that's almost 3 lbs. i actually have him living in a cage in my room, it's a cage that's almost as long and wide as my bed, and he's smaller than a normal holland lop so it fits him well. i wish to have him free roam but since i still live with my parents for another year, he has to stay in my room in a cage (my parents have a dog plus they dont support free roam bunnies). i let him roam my room sometimes. but i hope to turn him into a free roam bunny once i have my own apartment! for the meantime, he has a well sized cage and does zoomies all the time! the only worries i have for turning him free roam is his size! because he's quite small. he's not exactly a dwarf but kinda a runt?? the breeder i bought him from told me he's smaller than normal but he has no health problems!! i just worry he'll get stuck somewhere or something but im sure it'll all go well if the home is bunny proof! ah i don't know i suddenly went on a mini rant about my bunny 😅😅😅 i enjoyed your video! i hope to someday have mine free roam too!!

    Is a bunny hutch okay? My bunnies live outside, I have no snow here, no foxes. My hutch has a lock and chicken wire on top and ect and the floor is on concrete.
    If the bunny hutch isn’t okay. Should I let my bunnies stay outside free range outside? I don’t want to because crows.

    • @VictoriaRaechel
      @VictoriaRaechel  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I personally would not recommend a hutch, There is still weather changes, mites, fleas and fly strike (I recommend researching fly strike in rabbits). A rabbit deserves to live indoors like any other animal does.

      When it gets to hot or to cold I put them in the house till it’s warmer, my rabbits personally hate being inside, they love the outdoors and hen they are inside they become mad or like sassy! So I keep them outdoors. :( suggestions also I clean the bunnies hutch every 3 days because it’s fun for me and it is sanitary for them. They are very well treated bunnies I brush them ect. Bathe is a no. :) so.

    • @VictoriaRaechel
      @VictoriaRaechel  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No definitely do not give up. Rabbits are going to fight a little while bonding. As long as they are not drawing blood it is normal to happen. I recommend looking up some how to bond rabbits videos, there are some that show the behaviours rabbits show when being bonded.

    I would love to have my lil Toast be a free roam bunny but I’m worried about when I leave for school that he would
    1. Make a mess
    2. Hurt himself
    or 3. Ruin my carpet, bed, poop everywhere (he is a big pooper)
    So I don’t know if I should just risk it (bunny proof the room, let him free while I’m gone for seven hours) or put him in a cage and then let him free while I’m home. Advice?

    • @VictoriaRaechel

    Im so sad. My rabbits live in a hutch outside. But dont worry its quite large and we let them run around the garden almost 24\7. I just WISH they could live inside but i cant because my mum has severe hayfever. However ive tried my hardest to be with them and we have bonded really well. We are goung to move house in the next 2 years or something so hopefully i can convince my mum to let them live inside somehow. Please please please may you reply. I really want to hear what you think about this.

    I keep my rabbits in a very large outdoor shed that is warm, clean and safe. Do you think this is okay? Any other tips. Oh and my dad built the shed so I cant keep them anywhere else basically because there was a lot of time spent into rabbits that my dad still doesn't think needs at much room as they have at the moment.
