Having your linkages closer to a 90 degree angle where they attach will make them more efficient. Guessing if you can rotate that bar that sticks straight up out of the worm gear clockwise and shorten up that clutch linkage, that might alleviate that deformation you were a little worried about in the last video. As it's hooked up now, a lot of the force is pushing up rather than being used to turn. My $.02

I am not a welder. I know a welder. It isn't Shadetree. But it's got hold of it (mostly): 2mm of super high build extra thick GRP KEVLAR re-enforced paint and you are good to go.
The hand shift sounds good, foot operated clutch on a bike I'd have to get used-to. Keep them coming Shadetree :-)

Get yourself a full set of Powell swiss bearings and always keep a spare set with you when riding. I had a rigid ironhead with a skateboard wheel tensioner that I put thousands of miles on over 8yrs. The amount of revs that lil wheel is gona make is nothing compared with skating. I found cheap bearings don't hold up very long. I had that thing take a shit on me a few times over the road and it leaves you with shitloads of chain slap. The swiss bearings are a good investment and hold up well. Those skatewheel tensioners work killer as long as they keep workin. Ride safe brother!

Tight small swirls and some good concentration will give you a real nice bead. Also I wouldn’t recommend using a 6010 rod they tend to splatter allot. Try a 7018, it’s more used for structural welding where a 6010 rod would normally be used for pipe fitting and such. Both rods would be fine for what your doing but the 7018 would be the better choice. Good job on the welding, it takes time and concentration to get good at laying a nice bead down. Still waiting for you to ride that bike to North Alabama so a bunch of us can ride with you... Great work, keep it up...

Josh, you PUSH MIG welders and pull arc welders. You'll be getting lots of spatter if you drag your MIG because the gas isn't covering the arc. Also grinding down the weld on the front weakened it so I'd suggest you run a couple more passes to add material; at least on wide pass.

Fear not Josh! I was raised on a farm and my welds prove it. They ain't pretty but they won't break!!
So what if I'm a grinder and not a welder, I'm not doing stainless with a TIG or body work for paint and everyone can kiss my fourth point of contact.
The Chopper builders of the 50s, 60s and 70s weren't that concerned about show ready, just rideability!
I'll pray it safe and functioning for you on all your rides. Take care young Man.
