- Here's my flight on the first A350 route to Australia which started in May 2016. Video includes a visit to the Al Mourjan Business Lounge at Hamad International Airport as well as boarding, take-off, meals and a walk around to explore the magnificent A350.

Amazing video. Nice roaring sound on takeoff and pity low light and nice to see the Doha city in night. Very delicious meals and nice toilet. Smiled F/A :) Lounge on plane look good as EK. Very cool window blinds. Interesting back galley. Hard landing after your longer flight.

Cheekypok omg yes I travel back and forth regularly from Adelaide and Moscow for ballet and always have my connection through Hamad International Airport and I must say it's certainty the nicest airport I've ever seen! I sometimes wish my connection was longer so I could spend more time in the airport! The Adelaide airport is a real disappointment compared to Hamad, but hey. Adelaide is a small place😂
I mean, Adelaide’s ok, but it’s a bit, old. It looks big from the outside, but hell, it’s tiny on the inside, like you CANNOT get lost in that thing

We have so many new planes starting its services to Australia. Etihad 787 to Perth, Qatar a350 XWB to Adelaide and a Etihad a380 to Melbourne.

Hammad airport was my connecting flight to dfw with 8 hrs layover this was in the high pick of COVID in April. 2020 ".. nothing much to see at that time it’s a ghost town ... all store are closed and most of the gates are on. Dim light. Luckily. One of the Al mourjan lounge was open and it’s very strange feeling eating. By yourself at the lounge .. took a very long shower after I ate .. explore the other side of the lounges which open but no buffet . I have to give Qatar qsuite. A350 1000 a 5 star overall rating .... it was an amazing experience. Flying business class cabin .
You were lucky to spend time in the lounge. Plenty of space to relax. Was the restaurant upstairs open?

Awesome video !! Im going to travel on Qatar Airways business class in June. Im a bit confuse with their on demand "a la carte" menu. Does this mean that I can order as much as I want even the main course menu whenever I want throughout the entire flight ? thanks

Completely forgotten I'd left a comment on here. I don't actually live in Adelaide. I live in Port Hughes, which is about 2 hours from Adelaide. Flying to Cyprus later this year and considering Qatar very seriously (especially as they are only one of 2 that go directly to Cyprus - the other being Emirates). It's not painful - just isolated.

I almost chose the A350 route from adelaide to doha for my euro trip (but ended up picking an A380 flight on ethiad instead from sydney).
Did you film your trip?
No, I haven't even left, but going to go in augest, will be filming for sure.
That was just me booking the trip, and trying to decide if is worth detouring to adelade just to try out the A350 on qatar (and was much cheaper), or fly the A380 on ethiad (which cost a little bit more)

Great Video! :) Qatar Airways Adelaide flight is 12 hours and 7,030 miles. I expect Qatar Airways to fly A350s to Orlando next he's as well as Tampa. I wonder if Qatar Airways will fly to Brisbane? They'll likely fly A350s.
They're planning on using their A350's to Perth, Australia when they have enough of them.
Even though, they use the 777-300ER daily already.
Yes, Al Baker has said he's frustrated with the delays in getting more 350's. So I'm sure we will see more of them flying our way.

Hi there. No I wasn't given a mattress. Just the blanket and pillow. I noticed that a good or bad crew can really the difference to your experience regardless of what the airline has on offer.

Qatar airways is average but PIA is beast.
This was an ABSOLUTELY fantastic vid.....But a few questions, at the risk of sounding gauche....How long did the flight take? How much in American dollars? Did you take a shower? Was the food REALLY good? Was the toilet tissue soft or not? Did you get scared? Was it my imagination or was the Economy class empty, because I saw only ONE man's head, and it appeared he was by himself? Will you please invite me on your next flight? This truly was fantastic, NO amaranthine yapping,... NO interminable clearing of the throat.....A truly superb vid........This is the epitome of LESS IS MORE !!!!!!
Hi Tricia. This is the best response I've ever had to one of my videos. You made me laugh with some of your questions. Firstly, I used Qantas FF points for the flight. So you will need to do your own research online for prices. As for your other questions, the flight was about 12hrs long, but as you can see they keep the window shades down so it's dark for most of the flight even though it's bright outside. I don't recall the toilet paper but I'm sure it was soft. 😃. As for the food, I didn't eat much as I'd eaten in the lounge but the crew on this flight weren't as proactive as on other flights in offering items from the menu. As the Adelaide route was only a few weeks old the plane was mostly empty. So those in economy could have had a row each to themselves. I I'll be loading another Qatar video in a few weeks so make sure you subscribe to be notified. Thanks for your comments. Stephen
I have flown with Qatar once before, and this was October last year, (economy- adelaide-Doha and business-doha-adelaide) and I’m doing the same flight in 14 days so I’m not as scared, but I’m still worried because I cracked my coxic bone and I’m not sure how I’m going to cope the 13-14 hour flight so do you have any tips?
Cookie Cat Always get up for a walk around the cabin during the flight to take the pressure off your bum and your legs. Good to get the circulation going 👍
If you do not like the food on the menu is there any other choice of foods to have?
Not sure about other food. But there are plenty of choices. I didn't order much as I had eaten in the lounge before boarding.
Would be nice if Qatar Airways dropped Adelaide in favour of Brisbane (3.5 million people in SEQ vs 1.3m in Adelaide).

daddyteddy85 The pink lightning isn't on for that long. Plus they turn off the lights for sleeping for most of the flight.

per magnus haig I would just say sleep as much as you can, I am a frequent flyer but I don't get nervous. I used to get anxious when I was like 3 up until I was about 6. So just sleep, or if your the right age, get drunk😂🍾

Not at all as you can see from the video. It was only half full in Business Class and about 30% full in Economy.
