    You can learn to weld. I'll show you exactly what to do in my affordable online welding courses at courses.timwelds.com.

    I just did that exact same thing. Not feeling good, ordered water cooler, torch, and now I’m here.

    CK has adapter fittings that go directly from the 5/8 on the end of the hose to the male quick connect. Then you don't have to use any of the hose or clamps. They have them for both the left hand and right hand thread. Part QDWAP, QDGAP

    Just got one of the stainless steel, brass pump coolers today, and you video was very helpful. Got same CK torch, but went with the flex lock. Thanks for the adapter link.

    Thanks for your video, it gave me the information to set up my primeweld 225x for water coolde torch. I found a arc zone water cooler that is just a 10 gallon water tank and pump that is the entire cooler assembly, no fan or radiator. This is similiar to what I had on my old Miller tig. It is all working fine.

    Tim I was in your position about 5 years ago. I purchased a CK wp20 torch. I contacted usa weld and they sold me the quick conect fittings that went right to the hose. I have one quick conect fitting at the end of the three hoses. Didn't cost much either.

      USA Weld has the best selection of these types of things. I would definitely go there today.

    What a pain with all the adapters. That’s what I hate about changing tig welding equipment that there are too many variations and connections. But good video instructions. Thanks!

    Would love to see an update video on this about how its holding up with some real world temp drops so we could see it work and how much cooling it offers.

    Yes it was a wonderful day when I got my new CK water cool torch and stainless steel water cooler. Have the same set up and had to find out after the fact that I needed all those fittings that you had lol Nice video enjoy that bada*s torch. Yeah I got lucky and found a $1200 stainless tweco water cooler for 300 bucks on Facebook...thing is bulletproof

      Very cool! I imagine I'll replace this cooler with something like that some day, but this Ebay one is still working great for me right now.

    The easy way is to xut of the water connectors and use Rectus 21 to 5mm barb connectors, woth an ear clamp that way you get rid of the bulky 3/8 fittings.

    Thank you SO much for that - very informative:) What is that annoying hum though?

    • @TimWelds
      @TimWelds  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was so frustrated trying to figure out that humming sound because it would come and go. I looked into about a dozen things before I found that it’s an aftermarket power cord for my camera interacting with the external microphone. I switched to running batteries and now I’m good to go.

    do you still use this chiller, how did it hold up

    Could you show how to set it up on the prime weld 225?

    • @TimWelds
      @TimWelds  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’re in luck, all of the connections are exactly the same. This setup connects directly to the Primeweld.

    I am looking to purchase the same Tig cooler . It is still working good ? How noisy is this cooler ? THX

  • @johnfurrier7877

    Hey Tim, can you give us a quick update on the cooler..? still running well? From the video, it sounded pretty loud, does that bother you at all?

    • @TimWelds
      @TimWelds  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi John,
      It still works great, no weird sounds or signs of declining performance. The noise is my only complaint, but it doesn’t bother me too much since there are so many noisy things in the shop. It’s about the same as my heater or the cooling fan on one of my machines. Definitely quieter than the compressor or saw. If I’m tacking at low amperage, I just leave the cooler off until I’m ready to weld, which helps as well.

    Does anyone have a fronius cu600 cooler? I'm building my own cooler for a magicwave 230i and I've already figured out how to turn on the pump and fan but I need a few pictures of the cooler harness to figure out how the flow and temperature sensor and coolant level are connected. Can anyone help me because there are no pictures or diagrams on the internet?

    • @TimWelds
      @TimWelds  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Still works great! I’ve used it a lot, and my only complaint is that it’s just a bit loud, but some of the name brand coolers are loud too.

    No gas quick connect??

    • @TimWelds
      @TimWelds  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could put one on, but I don't have a need for one.

    • @olinsrc3841
      @olinsrc3841 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TimWelds Yeah I just figured that you could switch to a different torch quickly. I'm thinking of doing this to my set up but add the gas fitting so it will allow me to change over to a totally different torch without any tooling.
