The Wastelander - Apacalypse Model - Build Journal

This is my Wasteland build of an AMT '59 El Camino. I started on it back in November of '21 and had big plans for it. Some kind of exterior frame, a big cow catcher, big whammy lift, big tires, 55 gallon fuel drum and a harpoon!
The suspension, frame, harpoon and cow catcher are scratch built with styrene rods, sheets, spare parts and imagination.
Wheels, winch and lightbars were purchased from Fireball Modelworks while the PE and skull emblem are from Model Car Garage. (Links below)
The Wastelander is painted Tamiya Hull Red, acrylic rust effects with a coat of hairspray, Tamiya Flat Earth and finished with pigments from Tamiya and Abteilung 502.
The character is from Masterbox 24031. I call him Chigs. Why not?
