I lived in the Livo area from 1989 - 2006. Watching these videos, I wasted my time in my younger days it seems, just going to Westfields and Livo CBD, but not bothering with walks etc. Here I am in my early 50s, but out of Sydney, thinking I should have done more in my teens and 20s.

Nothing is a waste, though its truly amazing to find these little walks and cool landmarks right at our doorsteps, that we never knew existed. I'm glad to be able to take you on these journeys! its never to late to start exploring your local area too, who knows what you might find ! :)

@@DanVenturesOut I live in Oberon now, and we have some lovely walks here, including a 10km walk along an old rail line. Also, you can kayak and fish out here too, just keep in mind that Oberon Lake is classed as an alpine lake :) I recently visited Sydney and did the Spit to Manly walk, 10km, and part of the Cape Bailey Walk at Kurnell.

@@arokh72 Amazing! Sounds like some real peaceful walks to be had around your area! ill have to get out to Oberon at some point and check them out for myself haha! wow its a small world, I literally went to the kurnell today to do some filming! Cant give too much away yet, it will be coming soon to the channel ;)

Nice! It would be great to see a Great North Walk video. (You don't have to do 260 km of it all. Just the highlights would do)

Holy moly, I just had a look at that 'walk' it looks pretty intense! it may be something I could attempt in winter or in really small bursts. Will have to see :)

There are quite a few boat ramps downstream from the Liverpool Weir. Check out Chipping Norton Lakes and Reserves on the downstream side of Governor Macquarie Drive. There are even a couple of beaches close enough to road/parking to cart and launch a kayak.

We use to stand on the bridge rails and wait for trucks to go past then jumping in during the shaking. Also put a few Tarzan swings under that bridge. The water was disgusting, but we were teens who just wanted to have fun. I also fell off the weir. 😂

Oh wow hahaha! that would have been an experience of its own! True, I can imagine that one, the weir was super slippery when I went there, even out of the water. Thanks for your story!
