IVF hasn't gone the way I thought it would~ | frozen embryo transfer |

  • After my second frozen embryo transfer, I vlogged regularly to keep records of my day to day symptoms. Unfortunately my first transfer had ended in a chemical pregnancy, and I went into my second FET hopeful that this time it would work... the overarching thought in this moment is that IVF has not gone the way I thought it would, and that it's really out of my control - it's in God's hands now.
    About me ❤
My name is Hellynn and live in the US, but I've traveled to Korea (where I'm from) to undergo multiple rounds of IVF. Being 40+ and trying to bring children into the world is hard, but I also have a condition called diminished ovarian reserve, so I've done back-to-back IVF egg retrievals and now have moved onto transfers after banking some embryos.
Navigating this world of infertility is definitely a challenge - a million new acronyms, hormones and protocols to learn - it's a lot. So I thought I'd just talk about everything I've been learning for the women out there who have had similar struggles. I'm also happy to share info with anyone who is interested in traveling to Korea for IVF, since it's much more cost efficient + high success rates here.
I am treating this channel as my diary, talking about the ups and downs of my journey to motherhood so that one day, hopefully, my babies will see how they were created... with fierce, enduring strength and love.
I hope you find my videos helpful - thanks for stopping by.

I'm praying for you, darling. I went through early onset menopause at 34, the year I met the man I would marry. I pray your baby comes home to you soon!

Same for me, I've prayed all my life and God has granted me all my requests but not for infertility... I don't understand... but the bible says And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Don't lose hope but trust God. We will understand one day.. ❤

IVF is so unpredictable. I’m sorry you have to experience the pain of it. It takes away the ease and carefreeness of life. And I personally grieve a lot… I started when I was 34. I’m now turning 35. My 8th transfer just failed. Will start my 7th stimulation tomorrow. We have no diagnosis. We are healthy but for some reason we don’t make good blastocysts. We will move on to egg donation soon. I’m losing hope. Is egg donation allowed in Korea?

Hello love, thank you for sharing. Maybe you can try different meds, or some lifestyle changes to improve your egg quality. At 35, I think it is totally possible to improve your own eggs. I’ve also heard of people using human growth hormone to improve their egg quality, or PRP a few months before the egg retrieval. Korea does both of those at great prices, but they are not doing the egg donors yet. Thank you for your kind words and for listening to my story. Please don’t give up hope. Sending hugs and positive energy 💗💗💗

Thank you so much! My day five embryos were full blasts. One of them before transfer had completely hatched out of its shell. The rest of them were starting to hatch.

Dont lose that childlike faith. The bible actually describes that we need that childlike faith to trust in Jesus for salvation and thus make it to heaven. Jesus gave Sarah a child in her older age ❤ dont give up hope. Dont forget to pray, dear.
