If you have more money, i recomend to buy a bigger one for this camera, the Ronin-S. The SC is a little bit smaller. And it is normally limited in terms of movement, but works well with small lens. If the SC is working with the camera, the S should work as well.
No it doesn't support portrait mode but you can use portrait mode by adding L shaped base plate to the camera. And about lens, I didn't use D7500 on gimbal.

Arm is an additional accessory you can buy online, I bought it offline market with gimbal set.
