Hey! Thanks so much for this series on VR racing and for sharing your thoughts/experience with the Quest 3. I have been considering augmenting my rig and single monitor set up with VR for a couple of months. A friend suggested I wait for the Quest 3, and your videos and reviews have cinched the deal for me. Appreciate the links!
I appreciate your critique of products. That last bit about most reviews being more a promotion than anything is very true. You see it across the board. Its like the new default way of disguising an advert.
Thanks for your information on head straps you show in this video. I have a Bobo S3 head strap on order, but have no idea yet when it will be delivered. Company told me something about production schedules of these units. So in the meantime I am getting the Destek head strap to use in place of the funky one that comes with the Quest 3. i mainly do sit down SIM racing, but do have some VR sports games on STEAM Thanks for you video. Take care.
Really liking the Bobo M3. I struggled wearing the Quest 3 for more than 90 mins before it. The Bobo does feel quite claustrophobic when you add your headset audio over the top of it. One thing i haven't noticed with mine is battery whine which i've seen other people report in the past. I don't know if Meta maybe put out a software update or something but mine has been silent so far.
Have just received the new BoboVR S3 Pro headstrap and it is better in so many ways over the old halo strap (Eg1. can run without the facial interface without a top strap), which is on my sons Q2. Very happy with it.
I find them both equally comfortable in different ways , to be honest. Also I'm not sure what's wrong with peoples faces I'm able to get the same / max FOV ( can see edge of screen) with either head strap. Also AMVR interface gives same fov as Default maybe its a tiny bit more squishy , i think people might have super flat faces compared to my triangle head or something.
I love warching your reviews and settings.i have bobovr some imitation bobovr whicj i use cause.of the battery. Most youtubers lie and i know you do not. My persinal faborite strao is thr one it came with lol.
a moterbike helmet is less comfortable and too warm people have done it , it dosent work very well. mostly due to how you have to mount the hmd into the helmet so the lenses are close to your eyes , the helmet is bassicaly just pointly anoying and heavy + hmd would stick out making it even more uncomfortable than just using a helmet or hmd on its own. by defult it kinda feels like waring a helmet anyway.
Thanks to you my finger is hovering over the Quest 3 "add to basket" button... the Bobovr allows you to remove the facial interface... does the Desktek also work ok without the facial interface ?
Quite a few times you said Destek when you meant BoBo and one time you said it and meant to say AMVR. I think there was a few more but I think I understood what you were saying. Solid analysis! I'll be checking out the AMVR interface....or was it Destek? Lmao jk
Not sure if you want to answer this, GM. But most of my VR is Sim Racing, but for long evening sessions (say 5-6 hours). Would you recommend one brand over the other if the main purpose was to comfortably last as long as possible while Sim Racing? (anyone else have an opinion please? ; )
Thanks GM, and I think this is a slight down side of living in a modern world. Example is that I remember 15-20 years ago, walking into any Computer/Office supplies store and seeing a row of at least one dozen computer mice. Nowadays, all I can do is read reviews and view pics and just HOPE? that my hand(size) suits the shape of that mouse, based on those pics alone? 🤔🖱️🤔
Do you happen to own a Vive Deluxe Audio Strap? If so, get yourself a pair of "Franken Quest 3" adapters and enjoy the _real_ winner in terms of comfort and sound. 🙂
I just bought a quest 3 upgrading from a rift s and so far I can honestly say the quest 3 is awful and I regret it already, the face pad is so bad and the strap is awful I’m trying to find any way to make it feel like the rift s as it’s currently unusable it’s so bad
@@GamerMuscleVideos It's ok. I'm sure any attentive viewer clearly understood the points. You probably already have strategies to deal with this, but the first thing that comes to my mind would be to put labels on the reviewed items so you don't have to trust your mind to remember them correctly.
@@GamerMuscleVideos The S3 Pro works with the AMVR facial interface and is now considered the best combo by Gamertag, who didn't want to like the S3 Pro when he reviewed it as he was already happy with the M3 and didn't want to recommend people to spend more money. I have the AMVR strap, because another VR streamer and reviewer recommended the ZyberVR strap over the M3 and they're both Elite style top padded straps. He had a similar big head shape to me, and I have been really happy with it, along with that Ice Silk pad, as I said to you on stream when you bought it. Oh, and the ZyberVR neck battery, as I have also said to you a couple of times during live streams. It is 10,000mah with optional swappable 5000mah batteries for it. Not adding weight to your head and it doesn't have the problems of the M3 not keeping the internal battery fully charged and a lot of people also report buzzing from those batteries - which isn't surprising being they weren't designed for that power draw.
I agree, the KIWI Design battery headstrap is mega comfortable, or the kkcobvr Q3 pro are good considerations 👍 so many opinions and preferences on it though
@GamerMuscleVideos The S3 has a MUCH better battery....one actually made for Q3. Maybe you can buy the M3, but here in Canada it disappeared from Amazon the day the S3 was released. I can't imagine anyone buying an M3 over an S3.
You know its a good video when GM is discussing his favorite strap ons
I was going to title video " best strap on" lol but i dont think it would be good for SEO .,.,. or maybe it would.

Should also consider the KKCOBVR Q3 Pro 👍

I love a good flange thanks for asking.
I like Destek QH3 alot. Top part is really good, you can move it front mid or back.

I want this BoTek headstrap 😅
Does one work better than the other for using headphones like the one you're wearing in the video ? thanks
Thx , from all 3 of us🤘🏼🏁

you dont mention which head strap had the most impact on your haircut
I've been using a Samsung HMD for several years. It looks like this matches it at about ⅓ the price. OTOH, the Samsung doesn't need batteries.
m3 mini is underrated, so lightweight ans comfortable.
Wouldn't it be possible to mount the VR glasses in an old motorcycle helmet, especially for SimRacing?

They r both better with interface generally speaking as the interface makes hmd more secure on the face and for non AR games the interface is imersive

Did I miss something? Does the quest 3 not come with a head strap?
it comes with a crappy fabrick band
Do i have to shave my head to get the same results?
just curious
Shaved head is best head for vr

It depends on head shape , both i think could be used for a long time to be honest

Do they fit ok with your Sennheiser headphones?
the bobo VR is best with over top headphones
Gm + VR = TEA.
bugger me, the Q3 content just keeps coming
Gets terrible views but hopefully it helps people looking and the sexy long time muscle VR subscribers ☕👍

Dude you have messed up the destek/Bobo this 9 times and I'm not even done with the video.
🐟🐠💪👍
Man, you're messing up the names... 😂
Lol I know I can't keep everything in my head too many stupid names products and I'm super dyslexic , it's a nightmare.

S3
Those aren't the best two straps...
Most people seem to think they are.
Unless you go for modded options of other head straps like Vive pro.

Bobo M3 is already obsolete with the S3 release.
No as SR is largely the same but costs £20 more , just has slighty different top pad and better battery and can still buy m3
