Strangely enough, I quit playing poker years ago. The fundamental explanations of "self control" in a broaden aspect really hit homes...Actually ur content is the reason I'm going to start playing recreationally again.. I'm 35 years old and live a pretty ordinary mundane lifestyle, so I think poker will bring back that excitement I have been missingggg! Love your content.. keep it coming :)
Immediately subscribed after watching this! Actually watched this 3 times because it's filled with excellent advice. Gonna watch the rest of your videos now. Great video man, thanks! I definitely needed to hear this stuff today
Sometimes you just know they got it, you make the call and you're pleasantly surprised. You have to trust your gut, but you also have to trust the math and have other reasons for making a call/fold other than just intuition.
I usually talk myself into calling the most obvious underbluffed spots because I say “nobody can be this face up” or “villain knows I know this in underbluffed and is exploiting me”
There's a big difference between "impulsive play" and "instinctive play." Impulsive play is what you get when you are avoiding your emotions-the random spazzing out and punts come from here. Instinctive play comes when you feel sharp, clear, relaxed and focused, the result of being present with your emotions as they come.
@@pokerwithpresencethis makes a lot of sense. So sometimes I feel that. But I also feel other emotions like anxiety. There should be techniques to calm down your emotions and feel the intuition more. Thank you!
Here before the channel blows up
Appreciate the support and we'll see. Either way I'll be here doing the thing.
The best in the business. Jason is the man.

Glad to hear it. These ideas also brought me back to poker many years ago and allowed me to enjoy it more and more from that point forward.

You should have played those kings, Mike!
hi Jason , are you coaching privately?
Yes, details on my website
Does this gut instinct also apply when you KNOW you have the best hand but genuinely feel you're gonna get sucked out on anyhow?
Sometimes my instincts tell me to bluff all-in but i'm too scared and I always regret it.

Sounds like time to give yourself permission to just make the play you know you want to make
Why should we listen to our gut in the first place? I thought gut feelings are, well, emotions that we should work on not having when we play?
