Like TJ said, vets will test you to see if you want that smoke &/or about that life & if you are, you instantly gain respect. You can show that you’re him on the field tho, where you’re actually getting paid to do so. Like you have lots of other ways to earn respect that don’t come from training camp fights. Like I get that it’ll happen, adrenaline and what not but it shouldn’t be something that’s just encouraged. Trash talking and shoving is one thing, swinging and wrestling is another.

The real question is why are teams practicing against each other? It's just dumb, the only reason is to start fights and it's stupid lol just do training camp. Teammates get into it, that's one thing but bringing another team into camp to practice is pointless. That's what preseason is for.
