I know it's been long since we last heard from Victor, and I know that character is dead, but I wish we could see a one-shot DM'ed by Victor, like Travis did with the Grog. Just imagine the sillyness of having to hear Matthew doing this voice constantly for the whole one-shot, and in this costume. Wish that could be on the list of one-shots from Kickstarter funded wishlist.
Great to see that Victor made it into the show. I was so happy when I heard his voice. Also the hog’s head he uses to measure black powder was mounted on the wall and I loved that
I have to wonder; was the hogshead a deliberate character choice or a misinterpretation by Matt? (a hogshead in this context means a size of barrel, not a literal head) Eitherway, it adds a layer of eccentricity that I love!
English measure nomenclature never ceases to impress me. How about weight in beaver dicks or area in hare leaps? Maybe very short time spans in rabbit f*cks?
Yep, language is a weird soup (and english is extra lumpy with bits from all over the world). An acre was once defined as the area of land one person and an ox could plough in a day and a furlong was how far a team of oxen could plough without resting. I read somewhere that Hogshead might have its origins in German or Dutch, possibly referring to an ox head branding on a barrel to certify it of a set volume.
I'm sure we'll see him in season 2. The group needs to go to Vasselheim after the attack on Emon to learn about the Vestiges, so they'll likely introduce him there and have that be Percy's first interaction with him. They'll probably just combine the first two times Percy visited him in the campaign into one visit for the show.
It astounds me how easily Matt can slip into roles like the way he becomes Victor (Percy’s surprise as Victor appears, waving his arms madly) Victor: YOU TRYING TO KILL ME!?! lol 😂
I'm all caught up with Campaign 3 and I have to say, I still think Victor is the funniest thing Matt, or quite possibly any person has ever done in the history of forever. I just keep coming back. Anytime I feel lousy or need a laugh, it's right here. And he's not just a caricature, but somehow an actual person we grow to care about with needs and progression, who nonetheless is the funniest thing I've ever seen.
Yes, that's the best part, as the visits progress we see more humanity. I love C2 but long term interactions with npcs other than essek and maryon are just not there. There's such depth in C1 that the selfishness of the characters in C2 didn't facilitate as well.
It is so sad that Victor had to resort to blowing his house up after all that effort of learning from his mistakes. I had really hoped his character would carry in to further campaigns. This is at 12:47 to 14:27
He made it in! Our short king made it in!
I SERIOUSLY can’t wait for this to be animated in Legends of VM. Like I seriously think this will be one of the highlights of the show.
He’s here!
(a hogshead in this context means a size of barrel, not a literal head)
Eitherway, it adds a layer of eccentricity that I love!
He says “he pulls out a literal dried and hollowed hogshead” the use of the word literal makes me 100% certain it’s on purpose.
All these years, and that is one of the most vivid visuals that has stuck with me!
Don't care how many times I see this pop up I watch it everytime. Victor is my favorite NPC from all 3 campaigns.
Percy - "You remember me?"
Victor - "No"
😂😂😂
I'm really hoping for Victor to show up on the animated series. That would kill me
Hopefully you’d have learn from his mistakes
I'm sure we'll see him in season 2. The group needs to go to Vasselheim after the attack on Emon to learn about the Vestiges, so they'll likely introduce him there and have that be Percy's first interaction with him. They'll probably just combine the first two times Percy visited him in the campaign into one visit for the show.
@@AlasdairGR Also if Ripley mashes a return
He did!
Whats equally amazing is Taliesins reactions as Percy, he plays it all so well, his "sweet gods of Pellor" always gets me as much as Victor.
It astounds me how easily Matt can slip into roles like the way he becomes Victor
(Percy’s surprise as Victor appears, waving his arms madly)
Victor: YOU TRYING TO KILL ME!?!
lol 😂
Man, Orion was still there the first time we met victor.
It only takes until 1:01 before EVERYONE'S life changes..... for the better.... and it only needed ONE word... 😁
I squeed when Victor popped up in S2. Best cameo yet. Absolute legend.
Might have been given the inspiration to be an artificer you know losing his hand And having the inspiration to fix the claw hand and improve it and hes prove his mind and his Shop. He was always happy to help and lend helpful advice you know like don't get near the fir
Saying this, I want all of these interactions in the Amazon series, Viktor is one of the best matts npcs
He’s shown up once for a minute
@@vijayanand6650 indeed, I am satisfied
I was thinking about this NPC, could not replicate Matt's voice in my head, so it is so good to have this video for reference.
Watching this after Victor's debut on the show is just perfect how well they did him there
