so far as pure strength goes I've never seen a climber like Magnus, the lock off starts as a 1 Arm pull up with an 8Kg in the other hand! and he can do it with a 20!
Yes please do a vlog everyday of the training week, maybe outlining what you're doing so some of us could follow the week program. Would be really cool!
It is a pleasure to see your blog grow, slow and steadily in the past months. I watched you climb at the Canadian Nationals in Burlington around 2011/12 and was truly inspired. Keep doing what you do Magnus.
Nice vlog again.. you should post a video of everyday, next week! Would be nice to see you break yourself down to the - grumpy Magnus we never saw before !! Keep up the good work and please man, watch out filming in the car!
I prefer the everyday vlogging option, so we can follow the progressive demise of the Mitboe cheerfulness. Should be fun and instructive on what not to do ah ah.
I would like a video each day with every exercise included. It would be nice if you made a playlist of the vlogs where you show us different exercises, like todays vlog.
Hey Magnus, I think if youre not feeling comfortable doing a vlog everyday, do it every 2nd day or 3rd day. Everyone loves your vlog for seeing good quality climbingactions and climbingdailylife. Keep on going! Cheers
If possible I'd really like to see short, daily vlogs, even just 2-3 mins each day, as I think they would be quite insightful. I'd also like to know how you gauge what level of intensity to start at, so you know you'll be able to get through the full week's training programme you have in your head. Also any tips for motivation when training alone would be great to hear as I have a problem doing this, particularly when bouldering!
Good luck with the training block. I would like to see more videos from you in general so everyday would be great, but at the same time, I think it's important that you are proud of each video you put up, so if you think you are too tired (physically or mentally) to put up a video you are happy with at the end of a day, you shouldn't put one up just for the sake of it because you said you would.
Magnus, perhaps it could be nice if you write down the training schedule in the description. Like: Lock offs (#sets)x(#reps) campus small rungs #sets That way you don't need to film everything and we still have a clue on your load!
Hi Magnus! I have a question: Have you ever considered to participate in a different type of competition than climbing? I have been watching Ninja Warrior (especially American NW) several times and some of the upper body obstacles seems to be made for you! I think you could have ruled the hole competition! Anyway, nice video as always! My number 1 TH-cam-Chanel!!
Oi Magnus! Do a VLOG everyday, dude, it keeps me motivated to watch your VLOGs. And of you're still doing Q&As, any hints on improvement in climbing for older climbers (I'm 55 and stuck on V4/23 sports). Would you say it's essentially the same as it is for younger climbers?
That was really interesting to watch! Thanks for the great vlogs. I'd love to see a video from each day. You could do less talking and just footage with info in the description if you would find that easier than explaining everything this week. Good luck with the training!
Magnus, your always allowed to slack down on the video's in my opinion, uploading one video every day can be quite exsuasting, as long as you upload semi regulary, like once a week is good, more is of course better in order to gain subscribers and wiewers. It is also okay to not film everythinge, we don't want 1-10 hours long video's im sure xD, ik from exsperince from my workout sessions
Great video. Just gotta say though, when I first started climbing, some kid snapped his neck while bouldering at my gym. And I’ve been paranoid about bouldering alone ever since... I like having a spotter. 😂
The poor kid broke his neck? Did he live? I fell 300 vertical meters down this summer during an AD climb in the Swiss Alps and survived with only a few cuts and bruises... But it gave me some mental problems during climbing...
Don't worry about how you act or feel during the week of working out. Just be yourself and do what you can with the vlogs. People want to see the true you. And maybe have a test of before the week of body break down and after body break down
I agree, a short vlog everyday from the training would be nice, to see how you wreck your body! Anyways, nice work on all the vlogs! Just be patient and the subs will follow ;-)
Nice video! i need to try a lighter version of this exercises =P By the way i was wondering, you always say your left arm is weaker than your right arm, if thats the case, why not train it more so that both have equal strength?
I think short vlogs each day will be better, but if editing everyday is a pain with hard training then cut it into two. And stop pointing out how weak you feel after hammering out campus and muscle ups that half your subscribers are even lucky to do one rep of hahaha!!
"Climbing is really hard when you feel weak" *flashes 7b, then does double dynos*
i tell myself the same thing then flash a v4
basically a the same right?

I'd support even if they're short
Agreed, I would love to see more of the training that goes into this.
3:44 hahahahahaha (rewatching videos) love it Magnus

Agree with everyone - every day. And don't worry about your mood, we get it!
Would be stoked to see more training. I would also be stoked to see more guest stars on board. Invite your friends!
Love your vlogs man! This is high quality stuff, great to see how the best train, no show off just hard consistent work. Amazing!
Magnus, blog as often as you can. Every episode is a great climbing motivation!
Magnus 5:20: climbing is really hard when you feel weak
Me: climbing is hard when you are weak
Magnus: I'm so out of shape
~Proceeds to do 10 muscle ups.
Yaye VLOG everyday!! And could explain a bit more what you'll be doing during the destroy your body week ! Thank you your VLOGs are so amazing!
It would be amazing to see you competing again! Following your journey back to the competitions through your vlogs would be a great series : )
Never seen someone stronger than you, except for Adam Ondra. Thanks for motivating us.
Magnus is stronger, but adam has better grip and tecnice than magnus
I'm excited to see your training week!
very good episode, I like you showing how you train, the key is knowing how to progress
Nice vlog again.. you should post a video of everyday, next week! Would be nice to see you break yourself down to the - grumpy Magnus we never saw before !! Keep up the good work and please man, watch out filming in the car!
Well put together video Magnus 👍

Great vlog magnus! New viewer here :)

Amazing vlog!
Damn that's a different music vibe for you lol I love it

You're a trainings beast

Magnus at Ninja Warrior would be awesome! :o
Do one every day dude. It would be cool to see what you do for a hard training week

I vow to remember "Old Magnus"

Campus rungs ;-) So your first attempt was correct.
I agree, a short vlog everyday from the training would be nice, to see how you wreck your body!
Anyways, nice work on all the vlogs! Just be patient and the subs will follow ;-)
Only if my climbing gym played OG music like Nas...
im out of shape, proceeds to do ten musle ups
RUNGS!
Hi Magnus. I was very curious about that Norrona hoodie you're wearing, do they still sell that? haha i know its pretty late
Nice video! i need to try a lighter version of this exercises =P
By the way i was wondering, you always say your left arm is weaker than your right arm, if thats the case, why not train it more so that both have equal strength?
I hope it won't be a big time impact for you but i think a shorter everyday video of your "breaking-down-the-body-week" would be cool :).
Cheers!
Hey Magnus, do you only wear the dragos?
good storong
Please vlog the training week, we enjoy watching you suffer ;.)
My left arm is weaker then my right .. M dog your left arm is stronger then my whole body .. but I'm getting there.
Pandemic vibes in a pre-pandemic time.
Graphic looks great?
How much do you weight?
I think short vlogs each day will be better, but if editing everyday is a pain with hard training then cut it into two. And stop pointing out how weak you feel after hammering out campus and muscle ups that half your subscribers are even lucky to do one rep of hahaha!!
dab at 4:08
Post a whole workout, unedited. Show us the whole thing!
Hi Magnus, if I can give you advice put your videos on Facebook too: your visibility will increase and you deserve it!
“Im so out of shape…” bro is doing more than 99 percent of the population and says weak. Really high standards, like the drive
"that was really hard" does 10 consecutive muscle ups
Episode 2020...
If you tried to climb more static you’d prolly still be able to compete but you’re a muscle head
Do one longer one and focus on the workouts! But maybe u can publish your training schedule!?
Shorter everyday would make us happier😂 but go with what you can manage. Good Luck
