You are evil for asking such a question to escalate division. The majority couldn't do either one. The nonsense in people is top notch! Different tools for different problems. If I have a plane full of hostages on a runway, I’m calling Delta. If I’ve got an oil rig or ship full of hostages, calling the Seals. They are both great teams. And all of them deserve our thanks for the work they do.

sorta. i guess that would be true if they were actually consistently employed that way. but we've seen so many situations where SEALS get mis-used and, if I'm being blunt as a former 0311, are sometimes a tad too arrogant to realize it.
All army SF, including Delta of course, is infantry at its core. SEALS are "frogmen" at their core. It results in a huge difference in training, IRL mission planning and of course IRL execution. The stuff leading up to Anaconda and then of course Red Wings are the two most famous examples but if you were a deployed Ranger or a MEU-SOC grunt who supported SF missions, you saw a lot of those differences play out day to day in much less famous situations.
In fairness, I do I think that changed quite a bit as the GWOT dragged on and SEALS adapted to the way they were being employed. It'll be interesting to see what happens as all the branches look to find new identities in the post GWOT world. Semper Fi.

@@bon-a-petite9224I read a book on the war on terror and the author claimed the reason Delta was picked to take out the leader of Isis was because the Seals couldn’t be trusted to be discreet with mission details.
So, I had a relative try out for Delta, a couple years ago now. He wasnt selected. They were VERY professional about it with him too. Simply put, he wasnt mentally mature enough for them. He got the physical stuff, but the mental thing is simply something that is either there, or it isnt.
He was deflated, and called me that night. I told him, quite simply, he had that opportunity. He had the honor of trying what 99.9% of men will NEVER try, and of those that do, a very, VERY small percentage actually get selected. Hell, they might have only been looking to take on one soldier for all he knew.
Life works like that sometimes. All you can do, is your best.
I know 3 top tier experienced special forces officers who tired out for the unit. 1 of them made it. These are air assault, airborne, ranger tab, and physical studs, college athletes...and they still didn't make it

I’m Marine Recon retired,, All this rivalry between the Spec Op units is bullshit, there’s much more respect and admiration between these operators than dissension , whether it be the SEAL teams, Delta, Para Rescue jumpers, Rangers , or Force Recon, we all are highly trained professionals who do our jobs quite well, it’s just clickbate
SO glad you posted this. I have heard something along the same lines from someone who attended Ranger school in the '90's. He attained the tab but was actually an MP officer. From what I understand, the military Spec Ops community actually work quite a bit with each other. Battle of Mogadishu there were Air Force Para Rescue jumpers and Navy Seals in the battle with Rangers and Delta.
Don't mean to flex, but myself, I was a track mechanic in the Army. Trained to change engine oil, swap engines-transmissions, change large sections of track. Sometimes working over 24 hours straight get Bradleys and mortar track carriers back online and into the fight. But I dislike bragging.
It's become common-place for YT "creators" to feed the narrative for clicks/likes. It's everywhere.

Asked an SF medic at BAMC in 05 the same question. He said SF guys are older with a higher military skill set and just more mature. One or two go out to get a beer and chill. SEALS were young dudes. Whole platoon goes to the bar, starts a fight and gets sent home.

I went through the Q Course in 68 and always had a Seal or two imbedded with us. The Seals made a lot more money, drove flashy cars and liked talking more. Years later when they coined the SF troops as the "quiet professionals" I wasn't surprised. The first thing we learned in SF was that your most powerful weapon was your brain. That being said, it seemed prudent to keep a low profile and, for the most part, that's how SF rolls.

It isn't pay grade. You need to look it up.
There’s jump pays and combat pays too and it’s other things that most people don’t realize. The pay grades are the same but there’s extra stuff that you get more. For people who said “You’re full of BS” they need to look into that.
FYI - Bob was the actually first first two part interview on Shawn Ryan show. I think it was something around 8 hours total.
Both are awesome. Delta has for sure been more professional about keeping their mouth shut about OPs and looking ahead to the next one rather than seeking glory.

It is usually good-natured, but, there are some guys who actively go after the Teams. Seems as some point they might want to be a bit more introspective on their own lessons-learned. If I was a hostage and had a choice I’d absolutely choose Delta to rescue me. You never hear about them backstabbing, lying or betraying each other. They seem to me to be the true quiet professionals.
If you were a hostage and men with American flag patches showed up in the middle of the night and killed everyone around you in order to set you free, A. you'd be extremely thankful for them saving your life. B. you probably may never know if it was Delta or Devgru that were the men behind the guns and the enemy sure as hell wouldn't.

Both groups are among the best on the planet and each are better than the other in more specific skill sets. TO claim one or the other are more professional than the other is subjective, at best and the only reason you're even hearing about it is because people like you have made a market for it.

From my limited knowledge I have great respect for anyone who makes the sacrifice and puts themselves in danger to help other people. SFOD-D just happens to be my favorite.

Known guys in both, have fam that personally worked with Commander Marcinko as well. I never heard any sniping about either one. Healthy competition can be good, but I'm proud of all of them.
One correction: The Navy does have Combat Arms, but the majority of it is Brown Water/Littoral. 👍
During my entire 22 years in the Army as a grunt who had the pleasure of working and training with both units, all the guys from both were outstanding but not one Delta guy ever said they wanted to go to Devgru but i knew of a couple seals that went to Delta
I went to PLDC at FT Bragg in 1984 and delta was located across the street, that’s the closest I got to delta force.
That was when their base was the old Bragg stockade. It was right down the road from an intersection in the middle of Bragg...a KFC on the left of the intersection and a McDonald's on the other side of the intersection. Now it is SF Headquarters...Delta moved to their new compound further back into Bragg around 1986.

It’s pointless to ask which team is better. Each team serves a specific purpose based on their skills and the mission at hand. Who cares about who writes books and all the other stuff?? Both are great teams and most people don’t have what it takes to try out for either one, let along what it takes to make it. Thank God for both groups.

Bob is absolutely correct..the only unit in the Navy that have infantry training are the Seabees..
I truly believe this fact is an issue for ST6. I believe it makes for a discipline problem for them, basic infantry-ing is tough and u need a degree of discipline to be good at it
I worked with Seabees as an engineer in the army and I respect them so much.
Navy Corpsman have infantry training. SWCC and EOD have some experience and cross over to SEAL teams

The only time I trained under a delta guy it was a brutal experience of learning MOUT. Guys are excellent for a reason and demand excellence.
These specialized forces have unique missions which is why they were created. It's similar to why we have so many different aircraft, ships, etc. They all were created for a specific need and mission so it's hard to compare them against each other. It's like comparing an H-60 to a C-130. Both are great at what they were designed for.
DJ Shipley stated in his interview with Sean Ryan that roughly 20-25 SEALs I believe it was made it to SEAL Team Six. There was a Delta guy who was recorded, when asked about his selection attrition rate, said 100 entered and 5 made it. They are both the best of the best, and only a few (S.A.S, PJ's etc.) can rival them. But is widely regarded, that Delta is the best of them all.
So you based the selection process by 1 operator and 1 class? LOL Deep. It varies by class and demand of the military. If operators are dying in war, the military will select more than peace time. Widely regarded by who? They are both Tier 1. Both can do any mission demanded of them.
DEVGRU select from existing SEAL service. They do not allow any other outside service to partake so the numbers cannot be cross compared.

Forest ranger Kevin tried rejoining Team 6 after 9/11, but a DevGru CMD Master Chief told him he would have to first do a deployment with a white side SEAL Team. This would take too long. The CMC recommended Kevin instead try out for Delta selection which would be a quicker route to join a tier one unit. This is what I remember from Kevin's interview w/ retired SEAL turned author & TH-camr Jack Carr.
@@MrDevtun That is his side of the story. There is the Command's side and they don't give interviews on social media. He doesn't make sense . He said he wanted to return to DEVGRU but they told him to do 1 deployment in regular SEAL Team and he said no and decided to change branches and join the DELTA selection and training which takes over 1 year to get to a DELTA squadron if he makes it because that is quicker? I say BULL!!! I'm guessing he quit DEVGRU in bad terms and went civilian for 6 years and wanted to return and they said NO to go to a regular SEAL TEAM and he went Army Delta because they offered him a path and he couldn't return to DEVGRU. You don't switch branches and communities and start all over unless you have to.

A former Special Forces (aka Green Beret) told me that you don't ask to join Delta Force, they invite you to try out. And a friend who is a former Army Ranger said, in talking about the Rangers, "We're only seen when we want to be seen."
He said it best, delta gets guys that are mostly already SF dudes. So they already start off ahead. Its like whos better, NFL rookies or an All Pro team? Its really a dumb question. Hats off to all of them. Bullets, RPGs and IEDs dont care about age, unit or training. We owe it to anybody that goes down range.

The comparison is seals are mostly new to SF and delta are mostly veteran SF guys. Don't get distracted .
Green berets, rangers, and raiders are all comparable to regular seals. Delta still better though .
Again, Delta recruits from Seal teams, feeder units getting compared to destination units. Also, Rangers are pretty dissimilar to Seals, way different mission sets/capabilities.
I thought the DevGru guys all had to be SEALs already with at least one combat deployment.
I have respect for both Navy SEALs and Delta operators. While I never met a Delta Operator in person I do know my DI from Basic (Fort Leonard Wood) supposedly was selected back in 1988. I sometimes wonder whatever happened to him. We also had a SEAL, Army Ranger, and Green Beret train with us at Fort Sam Houston for Medic school. They were all quiet and kept to themselves. No interaction with us regular army dudes at all lol.
What was that TV show they had for like one season where it was like all different special operators competing on courses and stuff like that

all the old school guys do the comparison but the younger guys know they are training the same and doing the same mission and interchanging in the between the units a lot more after 9/11

@@Hispeed1 Both are TIER 1 you child. Premier? LOl. Different branches. Is not where you start, it's the long pipeline of training to get to Tier 1 of either branch. Both are similar. Both have assault squadrons and a training squadron. The difference is DEvgru has 1 fulltime Diver rescue squadron since all Devgru are Combat Divers and only 1 out of 6 in Delta are. You will never see Delta locking from a submarine in the world or taking over a ship or oil rig.

If it wasn't for that Chuck Norris movie, Delta Force would have been still very low profile like it was in the early 80s, partly because they keep changing their names to keep it hush hush: SWU, CAG, Task Force Green and of course, Delta Force (which stuck). I don't know what they are called now within the ranks in the Army.
The unit, Delta, CAG are still commonly used in the Army.
I was recruited in the late 80’s to go Delta. My previous team leader had been in Delta and I guess he had put in a word for me. I had just got married and ended up turning it down. But at that time I’d already been infantry for 5 years, had combat experience, airborne and air assault. Other than my previous team leader I hadn’t known anyone else in Delta. But he was a straight up professional and out of most of the other NCO’s I served with I respected him the most. You just couldn’t find a better leader.
My brother in law had a college roommate who got invited to join delta. I’ve only heard one story/comment about delta that he heard: a lot of stuff delta does they give the credit to the SEALs when it comes to press/announcing things.
I spent a few years with SWCC in Little Creek. The difference between SEALS and Delta? The cold, dark, violent ocean. Anyone can learn land warfare. However, the ocean cripples the toughest of men. During training, I was so cold I started jack hammering. I crushed two molars because I couldn't stop shaking. Both teeth ended up getting pulled 15 years later. At the time, I wished I had joined the Army or Marines.
I spent enough time in to know and recognize that every military member, AND BRANCH, has a place and served a critical role. For example? Everyone shits on the Air Force until they start dropping JDAMS danger close and you survive...
Sticks and stones may break your bones………..but JDAMS leave no DNA trace evidence!!
Perfectly said. I was a boat guy doing brown water ops and picked up and dropped off all number of SF and the main difference is operating in the cold, dark ocean. The sea is a cruel mistress.

@@SteveMcFry I have to say that Navy SEAL training is elite BUT I was thrashed to my breaking point day in & day out at Parris Island (3rd Bat. Lima Co. Plt. 3164) back in the 90s. I don't know of too many Navy guys that had that kind of introduction to the service. So, I'm fairly certain with that kind of foundation, I would've done well in SEAL training. Maybe not a stellar candidate but I can guarantee you that I would have NEVER been caught ringing that fucking bell. I COULD HACK IT SO I DIDN'T HAVE TO PACK IT, SIR!!

Bob is simply stating that there is no work up To the Navy Seals like the Delta Force i.e., 11b, Ranger, SF then Delta.
In the Navy, you would negotiate your SSR (Seal Source Rating i.e., EM, TM, GM etc.) within a Dive Farer contract in order to be billeted for BUD/s school.
So what he is saying is 100% correct.
There's no "combat" rated pipeline in the Navy. Which is why you'll have 50% a BUD/s class that have never touched a weapon other than boot camp.
SWCC candidates go through a variant of the training as Seals do.
EOD physical training is marginal to the former 2.
All are under the NSWC umbrella and each member has a SSR. The rating is the back up for when a candidate fails and has to go back to the fleet as it's easier for the candidate to focus on getting back to BUD/s having a designation. If one is undesignated, he'll spend 6 months as an undesignated seaman, fireman or Airman and then have to put in a request for a school to attend. If his shop has enough of the ratings it needs the Captain will deny his request and he'll be stuck until the end of his enlistment. Some are luckier than others.
That isn't true. EOD. Special Warfare Operator (SO) Which is the SEAL rating, SWCC just to name a few.

Meaning, to get to any of those you stated, you must have a "Traditional Navy" rating first. You don't just enlist in the Navy and go to SARC, EOD etc,

I think the reason why there aren’t negative news coming from Delta is because most of them are former Rangers. In the 75th RR, if you do something stupid you’ll get kick out. So that disciplinary carry over when Rangers are selected to be Delta.

Its the same with the UK-SF SAS and SBS. Those selecting already have a minimum of 3 years active service + they have to convince their commanding officer they are suitable to have an attempt. A lot of the blokes have already passed selection for elite units like the parachute regiment / royal marines (with the royal marines almost being on par with the navy seals).

I feel this who is better is a symptom of this GWOT where everyone became a raider or door kicker. SEALS are great, but they historically have a specific purpose within the DOD and their leaders are doing them a disservice by not sticking to the areas around water.
You’re not wrong, but this was absolutely a symptom of a protracted two-front war. Every unit, conventional or SOF, was taken away from their primary mission to serve the needs of OEF/OIF. I wonder how they’ll return to their old areas of responsibility and retrain on their unit-specific tactics.

Bottom Line: ALL Spec-Ops Groups / Teams / Units are VERY well trained, each for their specific missions and uses. Marines have Raiders, Navy has SEALS, Army has Green Beret & Delta, Air Force has Para-Rescue. EVERY one of these guys are HIGHLY trained above and beyond the "average" Marine, Soldier, Sailor or Airman (I listed those branches in order of most prepared to fight out of Boot Camp / Basic Training) I listed the Air Force 4th because there was no 5th, 6th or 7th!!
Team Green Beret just walked in the door.

Those cultural differences are huge when it comes to expertise. I’m in the AF but spent 4 years assigned to an Army SMU. I was treated as a soldier and learned how soldiers function and it was eye opening. The camaraderie alone is a huge difference. Going back to an AF assignment after that has been a rough adjustment.
What was so different and rough about it?

@@30AndHatingIt I was on CR team that was Army led. I was the signit specialist we’d go out tracking comm transmissions and use it to track targets. They were usually using portable radios so by the time we’d track them they knew we were there and made contact if we got lucky we’d be able to call in for support and have a Army detachment back us up. I was a SSgt at the time and AF E5 and I had and AF E4 under me. We had 5 soldiers mixed MOS’s, 2 Airmen and 2 Navy Corpsmen, they were my family for a time and I miss them.… so I’m not sure what you’re talking about.

I always like watching these videos as I was offered an opportunity to try out and passed it up as I would of had to extend. At the time I was getting out to start college and ROTC and wanted to become an officer before I truly dedicated my life to the ARMY. Well mother army stop lossed my ass and kept me beyond that date as operation iraqi freedom started and I was sent to Iraq for almost a year. Finally got home and had enlisted for one year national guard while I was coordinating with ROTC and going to school only to get stop lossed again and sent back to iraq where I would sustain injuries ending my ARMY career. Became a police officer and a swat team commander but always wondered "What if". Absolutely go ARMY. AIRBORNE

I relate the Delta guys as the old veterans in that movie and the young inexperienced gene enhanced super soldiers in the movie as the Seals. Being incredible fitness machines don't have a lot to do with modern combat, guns and RPGs are the ultimate equalizers.

Did he legit just say that the guys trying out for delta are on a higher level than 6? Only SEALS get to try out for DevGru. I know it is very rare for non special forces/rangers to make it through the long walk but I would stack seals as equals to GB’s on average, and better at some things.

It was pretty easy to comprehend what he was saying. The Navy doesn’t have much focus on combat arms so guys coming into SEAL training are lagging behind guys coming into SF. And that’s not even accounting for Delta or Devgru.
@@poolee77 my point was that SEALs are on par with GB. Therefore DG is likely at least on par with CAG. If you’re a seasoned SEAL you are on par or better at the skills than many of those trying out for CAG.
I agree that those who are trying out for SEALS are behind on skill set to those trying out for SF. I would argue that BUDS is a steeper learning curve and demands operators who pick things up quickly or are gotten rid of. They also (for the last war) tended to attract higher ASVAB with more civilian exceptional experience.
Just my experience, but I got out of the scout team in 2010 and have only been in the Army since 2020.
There are countless classified operations by both the SEALS and Delta that were successful that folks won't hear about. Both groups do exceptionally well at what they do, If you are gonna Rubber Duck from a C-130 and lock into a submarine-SEALS, special reconnaissance-Delta.
My Dad's Army SF A-Team locked out a sub into Grenada,they were supposed to liaison with a Seal element,but Seals Helo casted into a storm, they didn't make rendezvous so my Pop's A-Team split & proceeded the Op, crazy night...R.I.P to those Seals lost & the K.I.As of Urgent Fury

Delta/CAG pulls from all service branches, a much larger pool of potential talent, and more experience. DevGru like all the SEAL teams, only pull from the Navy.
I'd love to see an interview of Kevin Holland who was first DEVGRU then DELTA- the only guy known to do both. Or an interview with Todd Opalski, the Recon Marine who then went Delta.
Ya they do but a very low percentage isn't SF, or Ranger, or was Ranger then went to SF & then the Unit
Delta also allows civilians to go through a prep course before even being in the Army. They keep the relationship until the person is accepted into the Army.

It feels like most of the delta guys you interview confuse seal team 6 with the rest of the regular seal teams. Like I heard a couple of them compare selection to BUDS, you cannot make Seal Team 6 through BUDS. The best guys from the seal teams have to try out for seal team 6 just like delta selection, so in most cases they are just as experienced as delta force.

No exactly. PJ’s are tier two. SEALs have corpsman, Delta have medics. Just depends on the situation but it’s not how you just described it.

We're not talking about seals vs delta's, because yeah that is obviously no match. We're talking about seal team six vs delta, and that is a match for sure. With both parties you have the best of SOF.
It's always a competition of who can piss higher.....
The process to become Delta is simple is to try out, they don't care what your background is, yea many of them come from SF/Rangers however many Delta guya have also just been from Paratrooper units with the only school before that was maybe Ranger School and some not even having that. Delta looks at a range of skills & personality.
Have been I think a few Seals who have been selected to join Delta and 1 Seal who has been on seal team 6 and Delta and he finished his career in Delta an Army unit.
Ive worked with the CAG guys at Ft Bragg and their top notch very, very professional and humble. They walked up to one of my junior soldiers and wanted that E3 to teach them something about Fires. Fantastic 24 hours with them.
How is he going to claim Devgru doesn't start with combat arms for recruiting? They only take dudes from SEAL teams, yet he cites infantry as a good starting point for Delta? There's no comparison between SEALs and infantry.
I agree. Team 6 selects from Seal squadrons with at keast 5 years hardcore combat experience. So by definition 6 does select from SF tier 2.

From a few interviews done by former Unit guys, they seem to have little to no knowledge on how NSW works and how selection for DEVGRU works.
@@binoj1967he is speaking about enlistment such as there is no infantry, cav scout etc…maybe shore police for the Navy that has combat arms training. CAG or Delta you do not have to be prior SF or a Ranger to try out or get in the unit. They even accept candidates from other branches.

SEALs dont have an infantry backround. Their background is the oldtime UDT "frogman" thing. SEALs evolved out of UDT and because of that, have always been known for their physical fitness levels and the way they fight. Hit and run, using night and water as cover...they have never played the infantry (cannonfodder) role. SEALs have also been famous for their very violent, anything goes kind of covert special ops...very no bs very violent.
SEALs not having infantry background is an outdated argument.
Good thing delta and devgru aren’t doing infantry missions or that would matter.

Land nav, SMU, IADs, Fire Maneuver, Weapons handling, Patrolling, Fields of fire, and other necessary infantry skills dont change unless its proven to be useless. The one thing that differs specs ops and infantry is the type of use employed.

In the "old" SEAL days AKA Vietnam, seventies, eighties, nineties...their land warfare training was taken heavily out of older Marine Corps infantry Army Ranger and Green Beret training. But it emphasized operating in much smaller units than infantry units operate in. And SEALs have never been trained to operate in the infantry role...such as being used to hold and defend ground. Or seize enemy beachheads (Marine Corps role). Also be careful what you write here because you never know who is reading this stuff.

The Delta guys always seem to compare themselves to the "regular" teams which is odd. That said the difference in foundation is a good thing. You don't want SEALs thinking or acting conventionally. That's the job of the Army and Marine Corps. SEALs = creative problem solvers Infantry / Rangers = task doers. (Before any fanboys get their panties in a knot. One is not better than the other. diversity of thought is a good thing).

It's about having light infantry skills. Walking in the woods at night, not getting lost. Always pulling security when stopped. It would be hard to explain unless you have experience doing a night ambush or assaulting a house in the middle of the night. I have been in the light infantry for 11+ years, and I wouldn't hesitate to walk into the middle of a small river during a movement.

Delta actually did get the call first, from what I hear, but jut didn't have enough personnel in the area at the time, so they tossed it to DEVGRU. Many other missions going on and there had been many raids already that were supposed to net OBL that did not materialize. In hind sight, Delta would have probably kept that mission even if they had to pull operators from other missions.
In reality, it was a vanilla mission. OBL was just there with a couple of female family members and one son. No major resistance.

Add that the U.S. had no permission to enter Pakistan and it was an act of war and Pakistan AIR FORCE could have blown them out of the sky at will and it would have been legal under international law. SEALS had to deal to what was in the compound and outside of the compound and keep it air tight that the PAKISTANI radars and military wouldn’t detect them or all of them would be dead and the mission failed. Devgru did the job and end of the story. Why people who have no clue second guess and spread false rumors is amusing. Both are TIER 1 under JSOC. Both can do the job, DEVGRU got the call and it was a success. End of the story.

For this joker to say he rejected the mission like he runs the military is comical but just because a former soldier says bull on social media after they get old and fat and bored doesn’t mean it’s the law. If it doesn’t come from the command or flag officers that ran the show, I don’t believe any former enlisted running his mouth on social media. I’m a veteran and that’s not how the military is run. You can’t refuse a lawful order from the chain of command. This is what these units signed for the hardest missions and follow the chain of command. JSOC picked DEVGRU because the flag officer of JSOC and the operation explained why and it had to do with who was in deployment in the area and they didn’t want to call attention from the Pakistani military since they were going in their country without permission and We are not at war and the move was very dangerous with complications in all phases and they would get blown off the sky if detected. Admiral McRaven explained it. I don’t know how DELTA keeps coming up in the topic and some retired enlisted running his lip about bull but it’s embarrassing.

The only scandal I can recall involving CAG was the one where a guy in the unit shot his friend, who was a green beret, then I believe he shot himself? I can't recall exactly. It happened about 5 yrs ago.
Back in the 80's there was a Delta guy who was wanted by the police, and he went awol. It made national news because
the State Police were told "Do NOT try to arrest him".
I don't know what happened after that. But I assume Delta brought him in.
John McPhee's description of difference between the two units is the most accurate, and the problem there shows when you look at the SEAL community's track record for operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. The amount of lives lost, operations blundered or times they needed saving are astounding. They are a counter-guerilla unit meant to be applied to or near aquatic environments, but that "land" part went way too far when a certain commander or Admiral in the Navy during the early times of GWOT just HAD to have SEALs involved in every little operation. Even mother nature doesn't put frogs in the desert or on mountain tops that often 😂😂😂

Seal team 6 squids spend way to much time sun bathing at Coronado, to much time looking for canopy lights, chemlight batteries, etc. A recent photo showed a squid commander with a scope mounted backwards, I'm sure someone in the arms room did that as a joke, right? Right? Not to mention the rifle the seals used to kill OBL was a hk416, designed with the help of a former Delta A squadron member Larry Vickers. Okay all in fun. We all know all the branches have different tools in the tool box to use for different missions, some of the training overlaps and is similar if not the same. Many go to the same schools. For example when I was in Aco 507 in jump school many years ago, we had all of the branches going through basic abn school. Including seals.
Interesting of you to suggest they are sun bathing at Coronado, since they are based on the east coast in Virginia Beach / Dam Neck. Maybe you don't actually know what you're talking about.
SEAL Team 6 is not stationed in Coronado. Bet you never served in the military like the majority of these individuals commenting about something they heard on a podcast or read in a book.
