When Izzy left GnR the soul left that band. And Adler was the best drummer for them. Gotta say, when I first saw a pic of GnR I just thought, 'well they've just ripped off Hanoi Rocks.
Michael Monroe's 60th Birthday Bash was more exuberating experience than I could have imagined. This was my first trip to Finland as well. His concert was also my first to see him play live and with everyone he has played with through his career.WoW what a show. I will be back in Finland this September/October to see his Documentary Open and to see Demolition 23 in action. I can't wait.!! I love the whole atmosphere of Finland and Michael Monroe shows. They still sound fresh after 40 years and could easily have cashed in by announcing a 'world tour' on the interest generated before and after this show. Totally agree.... I have been trying to turn people on to them since I was a teenager (which was a long time ago). I've also spent a lifetime trying to clear up peoples misconceptions about them as well. Starting with the fact that they have more in common with Iggy Pop, New York Dolls, Japan, etc... than they do with all the bands that came after them.
It would've taken a lot of restraint not to bother him, for me. I wish they could find a way to reunite for a bit. Then he could make a lot more trips to the ATM.
Luke, Kind Sir..if you have this on dvd I would very much like to purchase it for my own personal viewing... I certainly appreciate your hard work putting this together, but as I've heard no official release is coming, I would love to have this for my personal collection ❤️ Thank you for your consideration 🙏
They should have been massive. They were right on the brink. They were everything GnR could never be in their wildest dreams. RIP Razzle.
Even Guns N' Roses were much cooler at the beginning of their career when they were inspired by them!
I totally agree, I’ve gone and listened to a lot of their songs and they were absolutely incredible
😭😭
I recall Axl pledging a Million Dollars for Hanoi Rocks to reform!
I wonder if he attended this night?
