Love that, pay for a battle pass to grind the game for rewards, or pay to unlock them without grinding.

Love it when Bokey uploads. I wish you'd come back to RenX but still i enjoy all of your content. The game as a service has really ruined gaming for me too. I found myself loving Zelda TOTK And i was wondering why. Why is this the first new game I've loved in years... Oh because it doesn't make me grind and buy a season pass. It's wild

Thank you panda! Exactly! Single player games (as of late at least) is where it's been at for me. Way more lax! Good hearing from you homie

It's been some time I didn't play something else than Renegade X, but sometimes I'm even too busy for that. With music festivals and other things it's about once a week, but at least I met another player by accident on one festival and I found that out from Facebook. It's funny meeting players of a rather niche game.
But yeah, I'm also too busy or tired at the end of the day to play some game which turns into a chore. I'd rather ask some friends to play a laser tag, paintball or something.

RenX can be pretty chill though. Games with actual player servers is really nice - even in older games too. Now every lobby just disbands in these modern games and you don't get to actually make friends. For ren it's nice because you can sweat a bit or just hang in a tank, heal others/tanks. Pretty sick you met an actual player irl though 🤟

I play nothing but Live Service games but I don't struggle with your problem. None of the skins, Battle Passes etc interest me at all. I play them simply because I find the gameplay to be the most rewarding and long lasting

It’s nice to hear this perspective. What live service games do you like to play particularly?

I just hate the fact you have to pay to access the ability to grind a game, and if you don't pay that extra amount for the battle pass in a game like Call of Duty or Overwatch, there's literally nothing to do in the games. In the case of MW2 for example, you have the first 55 levels and the base game guns to unlock, but the modes and maps in the game are less and worse quality than games from over a decade ago.

Exactly, it's like what's even the point when you're already spending $70 and not getting what the full game has to offer because they're locked under battle pass rewards. It's just too much work, at least for me nowadays - and I would like to think that my 15 year old self would agree but we had nothing but time lol. A game like Halo 3 at launch had so much to offer compared to any modern game that you see now
