  • Made the trip up to Cuyuna yesterday to check out the new trails and it was absolutely amazing! Rode with some old and new friends that are of significantly higher skill than myself. I did get some footage of them hitting the first section of Sledgehammer before I took the more tamer Spinter trail. Spinter is a sweet flow trail with fast berms and lots of jumps (I shamelessly rolled each of them of course 🤣) Back Country is a fun trail that leads to Spinter and Sledgehammer. Sledgehammer is legit expert only. I didn't even try to entertain the notion that I was skilled enough to try it. Maybe next year :) On the way back I hit Drawpoint which felt challenging the first time I hit it a couple months ago. After doing these new trails, Drawpoint felt like a breeze lol!
Cuyuna has always been one of my favorite destinations for MTB within the State. It has amazing trail variety that can keep riders of all skill levels engaged. I see this to continue to grow and continue to become a national/global destination for MTB. Enjoy the video and check out these new trails when you get a chance. Remember to always ride within your abilities! Rome wasn't "sent" in one day!

Yea, looks like there’s a few good sends in there. Excited to see how it rides! Thanks for posting!

The Hungry Mountain Goat, I’d at least shoot for the PNW. Bellingham is where I stayed and it is phenomenal riding there.

Most definitely. Thanks for the tip. Now that I got the whole family hooked, it easier to plan for mtb destination vacations :)

Looks like they weren’t joking around when they said they were going to build more advanced trails.

Guess not! So cool to have that much diversified riding in one region. Reminds me of Bentonville, but with more of a grass roots approach. Excited for all that is to come.

That newest trail looks crazy cool, jumps look a tad big for my taste but I do like the drops I'm seeing on it. The berms are awesome on all of the trials up there.

They're awesome. You should come back up to hit these before eoy. I now have a goal to be able to hit them by end of next season. Need to progress fast, but first need to get better at riding flats!

@@hungrymtngoat I'm too old for flats. Tried them but not interested. I'll be back a few times before the snow files.
