I donated a couple of mainly late 1990s PC things to Rob's museum via a mutual friend. Nice to see the museum getting featured on TH-cam.

Can’t wait to visit when I’m back up in Derby!
Not taking that ‘nothing to do in Derby’ line lying down.
For those that are thinking of visit the museum and want to know more about derby.
Derby is an amazing place to visit full of rich history.
    --For the average person/family;--
Saddler Gate: Cool independent street, with thrift shops, independent street wear shops, vegan food, cool cafes, tattoo parlours, and more.
We have a cool fancy shopping centre if that’s your thing, though I’d argue Derby’s charm is in it’s history and old towny feel in a modern city.
You need to check out our local bakery called ‘Birds Bakery. Founded in 1919 and still going today with many locations. I recommend the Caramel Doughnut.
The Peak District is in Derbyshire and on our door step with… many many many world heritage cites and natural wonders. Bakewell, Buxton, Mam Tor… the list is quite endless.
Derby Quad. A cool indy cinema and art gallery in the centre of town.
Home of Format Photography Festival which attracts international attentions and visitors. < This is a BIG event : 16th March to - 9th April 2023 is the next one!!
The Museum of Making: a brand new £21 million museum dedicated to the civic history and industry of Derby < incredible place to visit. Rivals that of much larger cities.
Derby Museum and Art gallery: Including a room dedicated to the works of Joseph Wright, A Nature gallery, The World Cultures gallery, and War museum, there are also contemporary exhibitions throughout the year held in the top floor space.
    --For the Nerds!--
Yup, Core Design is from here 😎. We have a major road in town called ‘Lara Croft Way’ It’s a great photo op to get a photo next to this sign ;)
Lara also has a Hall of Fame Star in the floor, it’s literally on the same street in front of the Derby Computer Museum.
Britain first public park ‘The Derby Arboretum’ designed by John Claudius Loudon is located here; about a 10-15 minute walk from the city centre. In 1859 American landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted visited the park whilst on a research/study trip for his coming design of New York’s Central Park.
The Museum of Making: a brand new museum dedicated to the civic history and industry of Derby/shire, home of the world first factory that invented the factory and the factory operational system through the designs of Sir Richard Arkwright. This museum is built in the old Lombe's Mill (Derby silk mill) the first successful silk throwing mill in England and probably the first fully mechanised factory in the world.
Derby Museum and Art gallery: is a fresh and insightful museum housing the works of world famous 18th centruty painter, Joseph Wright. Wright, who has works hung in The National Gallery in London and The Louvre in Paris, has an entire collection here in Derby Museum and Art Gallery. Spiritedly known as the “first professional painter to express the spirit of the Industrial Revolution”, for his innovative depictions the possibilities of science and industry.
Rolls Royce has a headquarters based here in Derby. Today RR Derby produces high class aero engines for jet planes… and much more, the Derby Factory is where the famed Merlin engine, which powered the likes of the Supermarine Spitfire, Hawker Hurricane, and American P-51 Mustang during the Battle of Britain, was manufactured. They also have a heritage museum which you can visit.

Great video - I hope they have been in touch with Derbyshire Education Dept. as way back in the mid 1980's they produced a lot of Educational Software for the BBC Model B. some of it of local interest ie. 'Derbyshire Runaround' where the children had to plan a route between different towns (which had text instructions & basic line graphics)

One heck of a wonderful, nostalgic experience to visit and for me, a great privilege to be asked to contribute to the British Games room (You'll see my original design sketches for Rick Dangerous in the exhibit). Rob is such a lovely guy and it's a real joy to see his dream come to realisation. Worth making the trip if you're a gamer or just want to re-experience typing text into a word processor on a beige PC running an ancient version of Windows on a low resolution CRT (how did we cope?)

I'm a home health nurse and take care of a patient who has Duchenne's (pronounced Dew-Shens) and he's 21. I've been with him for four years and when I started I was feeding him solid foods and he was using his phone. Now he's being fed PN (peri-nutrition) and can hardly swallow. He's also in and out of the hospital. This disease also only effects men and is a genetic disorder that women carry.
I helped him build a gaming PC so he can stream and he uses a quad-stick with his mouth to play games. Before the PC I would sit and go through entire single player franchises that he wanted to see. We went through all five Gears of War games, all three Batman: Arkham games, A Plague Tale: Innocence, the first two Metro games, and a few more. We built some great memories just gaming. That section of this video hit home. It's going to be incredibly sad when he does pass. He sadly doesn't have a loving and caring family. He's on an Indian tribe, and his entire family are drug abusers, and take advantage of him, and it's just us nurses there with him 24/7 and very few family visit him.

The 1040STE I had in the US actually said “4160STE” as the model # on the bottom label. That might be because it was only ever submitted for FCC/UL testing fully populated and not each configuration submitted separately.

Tomb Raider is potentially its own room. There's the level editor that came with TR5, that's been expanded upon over the years by the community (plus OpenLara). There's the cancelled Core Design version of the 10th anniversary game in its playable but unfinished state. There's the recent Myth of El Hawa animated short film, written by Murti Schofield and voiced by Jonell Elliott to give a canonical link between TR Chronicles and Angel of Darkness. Then there's the lesser known stuff like The Times Exclusive Bonus Level, TR1-3 Gold, and sketches for the cancelled TR4 Gold
