Vex against gloo is amazing as well. Her passive applies to each drop of gloo so when they pop its like a one hit ko for gloo. Time your skill 1 and 2.

Nah… Vexana should be a main counter. Faramis does barely any damage to Gloo if you are building tank items
@@valkeditz31 mostly Faramis main doesn't use tanky build cause his ultimate hp bonus scale with magic power, so the more magic power he have the more hp it can provide. So there's pretty much no point on building faramis as a tank.
I still prefer Vale with his red 2nd skill
The only downside is, you lose the cc capability

Gloo is way to overpowered. Even with his 1st skills explosion, even at lvl 1, he can get a lot of kills in the first 40 seconds of the game.
carmilla is also kind of a counter to gloo, especially when gloo is using its ult. when carmilla uses her crimson flower (skill 1) on a gloo during the first phase of its ultimate, carmilla can instantly regenerate TONS and TONS of health because each blob of gloo counts as a unit. from thereon, when gloo is attached to carmilla, you can simply use second skill to run away from danger that gloo is trying to bring you into (like turrets or gloo's awaiting allies)
Yeah kind of. She can't kill him but he does not bother her at all. Just love it when the enemie gloos unaware and I can heal up like crazy on his ult then ult his entire Team xD
Also Vale is a natural counter of Gloo. When you upgrade the skill to deal more splash damage, his tornado splits into as many as Gloo's blobs are. In this case you'll lack the knock up so you'll have to play more carefully, but still. Sorry for not being able to precisely explain which skills I'm talking about, but it's been a while since I've played Vale 😅

Vale's counter is Minsitthar and Franco though.
@@xxx_jim_the_reaper_xxx uhm, no.. minsi is usually for anti-dash hero, but nowadays, he is being played as offlane. Vale's counter are heroes with lots of mobilities such as lancelot, chou or ling, the moment your tornado misses, you're dead.
when gloo was released i always use faramis against him as it is so easy to 1 kill him with 2nd skill and you can also use your mobility to put him undertower and kill him as he dont block true dmg and he easily dies there. Only problem is when on solo queue you will get taemmates that keeps on hitting gloo when you shouldnt
Fun fact! The Killing Spree talent works on Gloo's tiny clones.

Faramis I believe outshines Vexanna as a counterpick, simply because he doesn't need to kill the Goos for it to work and his 2nd has lower cd than Vexanna
As a solo roam Gloo, I don't think any skill in the game can backfire as hard as Gloo's ult. It has 0 mobility options and of course they are targetable, heroes with lifesteal can trigger it on all the Goos etc.
And even when you ult when the enemy is full stacks the game still doesn't highlight the hero to be attached to because for some reason the devs only made it to check if you can attach if you deal damage to them while in ult.
For using Gloo:
Never ult early you have no way to get on top the enemy with a dash skill.
Do note the ult is bugged if you ult when enemy already has max stacks.
For countering Gloo:
Save your dash until Gloo ults or uses his 1st(while attached to you)
Lifesteal skills like Ruby works well in preventing you getting ganked.
Vexanna counterpick is a bad idea, skills have long CD and don't 1 shot the Goos. I more fear my teammates dying from the Goos exploding than myself. And tbh I've won more games against Vexanna than most others.
Don't think so as I am Vex user and get to pick her countering Gloo... she works fine. Then again it's really up to the players and positioning.
Asides Faramis being able to ult to save his teammates from a gloo and dealing insane dmg on his gloolings
These are other top gloo counterpicks;
Hanabi - yes, she’s still a trash tier, but with the right positioning she can easily get away from gloo and also her bounce basic atks can also hit the gloolings (im not sure whether her ult still works on them too)
Vexana - self explanatory, her passive, deal massive amounts of dmg once she successfully stuns a split gloo and lands her 2nd skill in the middle of his pile maybe killing him if he doesn’t have a lot of MR
Vale - basically, u have to take his dmg aoe 2nd skill, once it hits a split gloo, it all connects with the gloolings and stacks up the dmg almost instantly killing gloo (if he doesn’t have a lot of MR), but u’d need a good tank teammate to make this work cuz now vale doesnt have a proper cc skill to defend himself against other heroes.
Faramis second skill is just one of my favorite skills on a hero, I've been using faramis since day 1 and instantly knew he was the best hero for me.

You could play Faramis first on classic and figure out his kit along the way.
Hororo Chan had made a video of Gloo's counter heroes a month ago. It's helpful. Vexana and Alice is also a hard counter for Gloo.
Btw the Franco in this video is totally out of this world! Mad respect for him!
Unless your a pro vexana you won't be able to do her combo quickly enough instead just pick Vale and chose the stop on hit option for his second skill hit gloo with the second skill when he is in his grab grab state I think thats what it is called

Yes Vale tornado is a good counter too.
Vexana can also counter gloo with her passive. Basically whenever gloo ult you just need to 1st him and it will insta kill the minions, and those minion's explosions will cause a chain reaction.

Ez way to counter counter using gloo against faramis is to just rely on his first skill that virtually no cooldown. After sufficient mark, then you can pop the ult and just directly hop on to the target. Works everytime for part time faramis player who got overconfident.
Thank you for the faramis gameplay. Recently got him, not to counter gloo but he is extremly annoying for enemies. Good rotating fara can be frustrating for the enemies to get kills. XD
Counter to Gloo Beside Faramis:
Basic:
Gloo isn't that scary! lot of people don't know how to counter opponent.
1. Vale 2nd skill first stage with glowing wand can also do the same thing as faramis, but that's a nerf for a hero potential.
2. Vexana can also do the same.
3. Dyrroth can reap gloo with 2nd skill of armor shredding.
4. Karrie the busted one can delete instantly, same goes for karina too.
5. Building demon hunter sword / trinity build combo can also be a good option.
advance:
Beside some tricks on battle field also helps for lanning on gloo.
1. Unpredictable on movement can avoid his first and 2nd skill combo ( mind to not get cornered).
2. If gloo ulted denying gloo to push his second skill is huge and if can dash gloo to the friendly tower can do tricks.
3. Some heroes like yu zhong ult, hanzo ult and heroes with dash skill can carry gloo to the nearby tower.
4. High mobility heroes is always a good counter. High sustain hero like Urenous is annoying to gloo.
I am really enjoyed to see Beto play one of my favorite heroes of all time.

Faramis is indeed one of the perfect counter for Gloo,since it has a AOE chain attack.
Tips:
Faramis mage is also a good choice to make you just need the normal burst mage build but with a phew adjustments
-1st item Cooldown boots(the red boots)
-2nd item Clockwork of destiny
-3rd item Lightning trencheon
-4th item Enchanted Talisman
-5th item Glowing/Genius Wand
-6th item Its either Def item or Holy crystal
Battle spell should probably these three
-[Flicker] for escapes or ulti saves on teamates
-[Barrier]for incase of emergency health
-[Purify] to prevent Ultimate cancelation
Use Support emblem
-10% Ultimate Skill reduction and Respawn Deduction Emblem
OR Mage emblem
-[Magic shop]Helps give small discount for items

When roaming i suggest buying dire hit, late game damage in team fights is nuts

One thing is that faramis's ult doesn't get the unique passive of fleeting time.

Joy is also a (sort of) counter against gloo. When gloo split its your cue to jump in and kill everything except gloo because each gloolings give shield to joy skills.
Glad that Faramis isn't banned that much. He is still very viable in team fights. As a roamer main, I still always pick Faramis when an opportunity arises. Sadly tank mains are few and far between and most players are more inclined on picking marksmans, assassins, so I am forced to always pick tank most of the time.
A simple tip for exp laners against gloo. If you have an enemy gloo, absolutely go for yu zhong if you can play him. He's one of the best counters to how gloo is played.

@@Shawonalpha when you go against gloo, just don't back off and run to his trap. Either just stop moving or even move forward. I can guarantee you you'll negate most of the damage if you do that

I never knew before watching this and I’m absolutely grateful, I was stuck in legend 1 loop and after watching this I’m really loving faramis now. I also don’t suggest banning gloo anymore and I’ve surprisingly done really well and literally got straight mvp(some defeat) only using faramis and finally got into mythic this season :)

Betosky, as a Faramis mid laner, I highly recommend Petrify spell as the best spell. He can petrify not just one, but multiple enemies at once after using skill 1.
Someone who actually gets it, Petrify on him does slap with his first skill💯 If the team get more cc I do run purify so I can use my ult freely just in case if I do get cc
tbh i like running flicker because its comfy to have that extra escape skills and i prefer to use faramis 1st skill as a poking tool along with 2nd skill to go in and outta walls, i use 1st skill to initiate after an ally or counter initiate

I saw a short here on TH-cam, from a guy using Valentina and it was also super effective.
Alice is also a nice counter to gloo if u know how to use her properly, she destroy the lil slimes and he can t drag her around cuz she can just tp with 1st skill.
For those inspired by this, it still require you to be good. In recent M4, same match up happen from time to time but there were at times,no counter / shut down happened.
Because in pro they know how to counter gloo that's why they know how to counter the counter ,u know what I mean, it's not only on pro scene it always happened on higher rank I mean 1k or 2k points above, maybe betosky is not that high rank, I can literally know bcos of how the opponent moves it's a low points, many pro or good user gloo know how to deal the counter of gloo like vexana,faramis even the opponent team will not pick that heroes ,we do not do that 1st then 2nd then ulti so fast "mostly" we stack first then passive before we use the ulti for instant ulti ,,sometime we do that 1st 2nd the ulti early when we dive on tower so we can have mobility but we check if they used there dangerous skill like faramis when it comes to vexana and vale it's ez to doge their skill bcos of additional move speed and immune slow for gloos ulti

Actually Yve is also a very good counter against Gloo because whenever Yve's first skill hit a non-minion enemy, the cooldown of her first skill will be reduced. So whenever Gloo ulted you can just spam Yve's first skill and it also give Yve some movement speed for a short period of time.
I'm an Yve user, and the only thing that can kill me is a bush camp! The is the most efficient mage-support I can think of. Sadly, most people think I'm trolling when I pick her.

Faramis second skill - Vexana second skill - Alice Ult will feed more in gloo ult - Kadita ult when he ult you
Ling Ult stops gloo ult - fanny take him with cables under tower - Hayabusa ult open it in any other target when he ult you
Only issue is if someone pushes to play mage, the only other option is to play it as a roamer. But from then on, the damage you deal to counter Gloo doesn't do much.
Although if you were able to play mage, then things will go smoothly for you :))

Faramis used to be my main mage, but lately i like using more underused mages, like odette and aurora:)
Aurora is so op, even with athena, she still can deal massive dmg

Faramis is very easy to counter. All you need to do is to get at least 2 stack of gloos passive before jumping in. Then stick right away when you have the full stack so that Faramis skill won't bounce on you.
In Custom Game that has no cool down and also have hyper blend, the cattle is for support and I chose Faramis and Alice Ult..you never gonna mess with him and you're correct. Faramis is greatly buffed for this season that it's a waste since I do not own him. He's really a bit overkill than he was before.
hi, just for confirmation. i think fleeting time is not worth to be use as faramis build. because it wont reduced the cd if your team killed the enemy while in your ult state, if im not mistaken. btw, thnx for the vid betosky. i love you because youre cyclops main, just like me. hehe. keep it up, beto sensei.
i tought spam 1 hero in every situation would be entertaining, because we want to see beto filling the role that is missing. example like using faramis when there is no tank or no jungler no exp etc.
Vexana can also deal massive damage to gloo : use her second skill when gloo ults, and all his minions will explode dealing substantial damage around and killing him instantly.
I always see beto's heroes being equipped with retri already during the pick phase,even mages and tanks.

I already know this since the gloo has been released. Hororo also proved that hanabi's old ulti and vale's continous damage from skill 2 can counter gloo. I wonder that there's always counter but no one use these counters in m4
I think the reason most players don't want to deal with Gloo is, he mostly goes exp lane while many exp laners can't counter him. Faramis, Vexana and Vale are very solid counter against Gloo, but they are all mages
Don’t forget that Faramis is a Support Type Hero too

1. Vexana (passive)
2. Faramis (2nd skill)
3. Vale (2nd skill stop on hit)
And AOE lifesteal or spellvamp heroes.

Finally, people started to understand how to counter him. It was annoying to see people banning him in vain.
Pre-revamp Faramis is already a good counter for Gloo. His 2nd skill burns through Gloo and the squishy at the back (or with him).
You may also consider Vale with the damage 2nd skill (Stop on Hit) as counter against Gloo.
When i use mage faramis, my build is mana boots, fleeting time, lighting truncheon , ice Queen wand, penetration and holy cristal or blood wings
When in suport , invisibility defense boots, book of mana and cooldown, fleeting time, ice Queen wand, imortal, and last item i choose which suits me better, and when imortal is used , i sell and buy another item
also heroes with good lifesteal and spell vamp items get additional lifesteal from gloo morph form, i have tested it using balmond bloodlust axe, and his hp was insanely increasing bcoz of gloo balls

Mages like faramis vexana and vale are natural counters, I always knew about this. As a player that's seen people abuse him and know how to counter, I never banned him even when I play other roles (marksman, fighter etc)

1. When Nata's passive is active, layla's enhanced basic attack is still able hit Natalia, even tho her passive is active. Her passive is supposed to counter *locked* skills and *locked* basic attacks

Betosky, please try the Zhask build with enchanted talisman as first item and cdr boots, then glowing wand, feather of heaven, divine glaive, and optional last item. He hurts as soon as he gets glowing wand and he gets a lot of cdr that when ur ult runs out, it just takes 16 seconds until next ult, emblem is the normal harith setup
Vexxana can also counter him, and vale too with his stop on hit 2nd skill
