these have a headshell issue. out of alignment. on my pl 5 i just removed the hsl. filed the raised parts on the arm. but just enough. now can be moved side to side. now the stylus sits level to the record.
@@michaelbrind9222 i havnt looked at it lately as i have a few. take out the headshell. if you look at the top of the arm its a flat spot. that is the square lock. same if you look inside the headshell. on the arm file the corners of that part so it allows the headshell to rotate. very little at ata time. until headshell can rotate. you dont want to disturb the contacts too much. this does work.
I owned one of these PL4's and it had the same issue. I loved the turntable, but this was way back before the internet and you tube. I gave it to a service place and never got it back. I wish I still had it, with the help of the internet I may have resolved the issue.
Hi, I have one the same and the plate rotates at a very fast speed, even the table where I have it starts to shake, what can I do? I did a cleaning with the video (th-cam.com/video/Oy16eMCEy-w/w-d-xo.html) and nothing remains the same, I would appreciate if someone can give me any help, thanks

Ability to find service information is one of the blessings of the internet....
Really strange why they kept it.

Get the service manual at vinylengine.com. theres a speed adjust there.
How can you set the volume on it ???
It requires a separate amplifier.
And a preamplifier.!
@@EnriqueSotelo-f5z the cartridge is a high output MC - no preamp needed
