But what's more upsetting, are the people who keep entertaining these clowns. I mean this guy is corrupt as hell, he was convicted in a court of law of corruption and went to jail for it. He's a convict. Even while in jail, he continued violating prison laws, allowed to go home on weekends to drink and drive, insult and assault police officers etc. But he's on tv playing my High, mighty and the guardian of morals and integrity. The problem are the people who keep listening to and massaging these clowns. That's why Africa is not progressing, because we allow clowns like these to lead us.

When he says ANC attracted people who wanted ANC for themselves to advance their own interests.. When there is a leader who puts South Africa, and all it's people, from all walks of life, religions, races etc, front and centre, then I will vote for that person.
After 30 years of "freedom" SA is still 100% divided by race, and ethnicity. It is now a gangster state, and as the fish rots from the head down, so does SA.
There is a leadership void. SImple.

But remember your apartheid government never put South Africa and ALL its people first, it put the so called 'Whites' first. It threw us in dungeons.
Remember the 'WHITES ONLY' signs all over the country, be it beaches, bus stops, schools, toilets and many other areas of interest?
Even today 2/3 of this country's GDP is syphoned to the US, UK and the West. At the JSE top 500 companies are foreign owned, sucking billions if not trillions of this country's wealth to the countries I've mentioned above.
You still control our economy and you use these so called leaders you are complaining about as pons, control them, they are your stooges. Those who stand against you are silenced , sent to jail, you ,from no where create serious charges against them and make them look bad.

Yengeni explains the two problems of the ANC.
Systemic corruption and a failure to redefine itself as a party of government which is a different mind set and needs different skills than a liberation movement.
These are the two reasons that sink these African parties that have done the same thing as them. They almost had it right with Mbeki.

You must read history. The ANC won most of their demands in codesa. Go to archives and read the codesa minutes, in Pretoria archives, cape town and elsewhere. Tony is a bitter politicians, he doesn’t care about the truth. The problem of the ANC was not of codesa or Mandela making but the economic policy they chose in 1994 to date. They chose the markets neoliberal policy framework. Tony is the least of the people you must listen to on proper politics. Listen to him only if you want to hear his personal story with apartheid.

Sseond comment: He's is brilliant, a mature politian with the relevant experience and is more than qualified to authoritatively speak about the ANC.
Third comment. On problems with the ANC, throughout this discussion is a trend (a discerning from Toni's perspective) each time the ANC faced challenges, the leadership, he mentioned OR Tambo and Mandela for instance, would call everyone to a meeting, they would discuss issues and come to a resolve and action taken thereafter. Cleary from Toni's dissection, The ANC is currently devoid of astute leadership to steer itself from the self created mess it is finding itself in. There is a leadership crisis in the ANC

As thé Président of Uganda put It " when we were holding thé centre with other AFRICAN Leaders in Africa such as Machel, Nujoma, and OTHERS Museveni continued, "MANDELA WAS in J'ail AND TAMBO WAS SITTING IN LONDON". What good is this revaluation gonna do, we knew all along that they negotiated in bad faith for the nation, yet the very same negotiaters they became well off.
But the masses remain destitute. It was clear that we trusted people who where only interested in being included in the economy of the country and not the freedom and the well-being of the whole South Africans. The libations of the masses is just a mockery, how can you be free when only a number of people enjoys the fruits of freedom and yet not uhuru to the masses.
Surprisingly the masses are murmuring the disingenuous of the elected, yet happy to receive a mere R 370.
While the few elected rake in millions for themselves if not billions.
