did my first Swappa sale today. had a few problems due to missing images for detail purposes. other than that the sale went smoothly. it kind of gives you a rush (excitement) dealing with someone on the price of what they want to pay for it and you being satisfied with what the final price you would let it go for hahaha. would I do this again on a regular basis? Nope, I'll stick to buying (I'm great at that haha) from Swappa than selling
It depends if you ship by weight or by USPS priority flat rate boxes. I'd say probably $10-$20. I paid $8.00 for shipping and $9.35 for $600 worth of insurance for a total of $17.35
@@StetsonDoggett you dont get a shipping label ? and i can put in box than put in a mail padded flat rate envelope so the cost will be the same no matter weight and distance or priority box

I’ve heard from financial advisors that if you purchase something with a credit card, the credit card company will often refund you if there is a problem with your purchase. I’m definitely not a financial advisor but hopefully this can help somebody in the future. Maybe purchase with a credit card?
I find that the only problem with trading into carrier is that they don’t give you the full value of your phone upfront. They often will give you a monthly stipend towards your bill. If you decide to upgrade within 12 months instead of the full 24 months that you finance your phone. You will lose money due to the fact that you’re missing that last 12 months of stipend towards your bill. Let me know if I’ve got this wrong please. Hopefully this helps.
It depends. If you have a good phone at a good price then it will typically sell within a few days. Sometimes it takes longer. I’ve had phones sell as soon as 24 hours, and one took over a month.

Stetson I sold something on swappa awhile ago and the whole thing was smooth. But when I sold mine I got hit with a 30 dollar fee at the post office to mail/insure it. Did I make a mistake? This in turn made the sale plus the fees be almost 50 bucks which I think would of made eBay cheaper. Phone was I believe sold for 350 so it really hurt my profits! Any tips for future sales would be appreciated.

Did you create a return policy for your buyer? I read that Swappa let you create one.

Seller pays for shipping. Make sure to include that cost in your list price. For me I have found shipping adds about $20.

You listed the phone for 620 with fees but got 581 from the sale, where you should get 600. Are there any hidden fees or something?
Swappa has a $20 sale fee (which you can see listed), and then PayPal takes 3% of the total transaction.

you have to insure it always selling on swappa like shipping could be like 8 dollars put the box in maikl padded flat rate why charged so much
