Hey Jon.. So glad you came back to Nemophila.. And what a song to come back to. Ladies looking and sounding fantastic!! Another great message.. Been together since 2019, but all been in other bands before. For me their biggest pull is that rawness you are talking about, and watching them enjoy themselves of course, especially in their cover songs. Best wishes as usual from France
My total favourite band right now. They can do literally anything - metal, pop, rap, pop-punk. All done with personality, a sense of humour and huge talent. And just so fucking... I don't know... Listenable. Heavy af but so melodic.
Mine, too. Not many bands that are this versatile _also_ have a signature, instantly-recognizable sound. One of the many things that makes Nemophila truly special. Just saw them in San Francisco, my second time experiencing what they're like live. As with the first time (Whisky a Go Go last summer), I walked away from the show with that "I just witnessed something special" vibe. Rock stars...
Amazing band, amazing vocals. Such a great positive force in metal and we get a new single just a few months after their 2nd LP drop. Check out Adabana, Revive, Dissension, and they also have a cover of Megitsune by Babymetal you should see. Seeing them live tomorrow and again on Sunday gonna be a blast!!🤘😄🤘😄
"Relatively new" as a band, but a ton of experience individually from either previous bands or complete careers as studio musicians. You could spend months exploring what these ladies have done with others over the last ten years. They have only just started writing together - which leads to what you were talking about their development. On the other hand, they have already put together quite a diverse catalogue with enough of a creative fingerprint for fans to latch onto.
No waxing Nemosophical on these ladies like with BandMaid. How about just kick me in the face for 3 1/2 minutes while I smile. And I think the last few seconds is them saying hey, here is your blank canvas; now you rise. Ok, so maybe I did wax...
You were bound to get here eventually. Everybody does. You’re still just scratching the surface though. Like my wife (from Hiroshima) says, “Japanese chicks f-ing rock”.
Give your wife a kiss! My friend’s wife is also from Hiroshima and these, “Japanese chicks absolutely f-ing rock!” I saw them last night in San Diego and have tickets for Austin and Dallas. After the show I had to grab a ticket for Houston! Still debating NY if I can find a ticket. Needless to say this is one of my top two bands of 15 (All Japanese). If you haven’t purchased a ticket, do so now!
@@michelm.6033 I am taking the family to Band Maid in Atlanta in May. We just saw Otoboke Beaver last month and Scandal last July. Our family has a unique musical heritage and I am still trying to convince my son that 362 has a Stone Temple Pilots vibe. Kids are stupid. Sorry Jon.
@@bryandevito5120 Well shoot. I’m a Stone Temple Pilots fan from the day. Otoboke Beaver has performed at SXSW a number of time and were scheduled for this year, but timing may have played a part. I going, actually for the first official time, to see Nemophila. That might not be a family cup of tea, but I have learned and enjoy so much about all these Japanese groups. God Bless. PS,- I’m still up and it’s going to be a rough journey.
@@michelm.6033 I’m a big fan of Humpback and Mutant Monster. Hoping they find their way to the US at some point. Until then, let’s enjoy the greatness that Japan chooses to share with us.
It is good to see you return to Nemophila. You can't really go down the Japanese rock/metal rabbit hole and not include them. It is almost impossible to label them as anything other than Brutiful. They can be extremely heavy while also being positive and uplifting. They play so many different styles that you might never find that consistency you are talking about. I just returned home from traveling to see them live and it was quite an experience. They definitely bring it!
“New” but they have four songwriters among the group. These aren’t rookies if you learn the history. Stay on the path young Padawan. Also, my wife calls you “smart David Spade”. Don’t take it personal, she’s a crazy Japanese lady. They say weird shit.
Funny when you talked about Mastodon my favorites are all the work up to Crack the Skye (add Cool Dark Place). Newer stuff is still good but love that old stuff.

Oh yes!. Of course Nemophila. The super band. Next Raitei please.
Mayu (vocals), Saki (1st lead), Hazuki (2nd lead), Haraguchisan (bass) and Tamu Murata (drums). Tamu really gives Akane a run for her money.

Second this!
Nemophila invented a new subgenre. This is "daily affirmation metal".
I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggonit, I can melt your face off.
Nemophila are their own genre..they dont adhere to any certain style label..
とても良いリアクションありがとうございました😄💯❤
This is metalcore song
From Japan, Nemophila is a soft, ordinary girl. She is a cheerful, laughing and loving girl.
Wow que tremenda canción de Nemophila 🔥

"Smart David Spade" is probably my favorite description of me 😂😂
Tell your wife thank you from the Smart David Spade 😂😂
