Yes you can disconnect the battery but it's not needed since the radio takes up a big power supply.

I have a 2014 f150 xlt but no heated seats, also I have a small screen… can I upgrade this one with this bigger screen?
Yes you can still upgrade to this screen.
If my factory radio has navigation do I need to include it with the sync 3 one?
No. Navigation is optional.
Can you still adjust the heated seats with the new head unit?
Yes you will adding this upgrade will not affect the factory upgrades before the install.
Jeez a bit steep, 2k basically for a radio upgrade. Pretty sure you can snag one on ebay for 500 bucks.
