I felt the pain in your voice on the carpark Graham. It's never easy caring for the needs of a complex needs child. Specially for the parents-maybe not such as much for people like myself as an Uncle and Godfather to one extremely complex needs young man and my other two neephews. Christmas has been a testing time for us all with many a total meltdown by all three lads- More so when they are together and trigger each other. You just do what you can as a Father, Mother or even an Uncle- of which I take very seriously. I never had any kids of my own so I treat my nephews and nieces as I would if they were mine. Thankfully there is always a little light at the end of each meltdown though they are never pleasent when they happen. You have to take pride though, knowing that these trips and all the hard work can only make Maximus's life all the more enriched and I'm sure as Maximus gets older, he'll learn to appreciate these moments. Its been a wonderful trip and I've found the Scotland trip very theraputic for my own mental health when watching it ( Ive been told by someone who knows that I exhibit autistic traits which I kind of believe) Maybe that is why I've got empathy for others who are actually on the autistic spectrum. You are both doing a bloody amazing job dealing with a difficult complex mental needs and I think you should be very proud. I've mentioned you both and Maximus to friends of mine who have autistic children and said they should watch your chanel to they know that there is a hell of a lot of light mixed in with the few dark days. Loving what you do. Keep on doing it. Much respect 🙏- Kenny.
