    hahahaha so funny!! you making jokes on other solutions like "don´t put the lense on completely" and so on - but your "solution" is SHAKING around and that´s it?? oh man.. YT is so full of crap ..

      As explained in the video, I mailed my 24-105 in to have the cable repaired and it has worked flawlessly ever since. No idea what video you watched but… try again?

    This is the most common sense video I’ve seen on this subject. A simple answer. Perfect. I just got finished watching a video where the dude suggested putting electrical tape over the lens contacts 🤷🏻‍♂️

    My lens came back from service in better than new condition. The micro focus was better adjusted and it doesn't "zoom" from the weight of the lens when I tilt it forward any more. I had both of those problems when it was new out of the box.

      This is Awesome Thanks a lot for this. My lens worked after just shaking it up.
      I don't want it to fail at an important time either. Can you tell me how much it cost to get this back from service?

    I have actually used the tutorial of taking the lens off, taking a photo with flash, putting the lens on halfway firing it again with flash and then screwing it on all the way and firing it again with flash and it completely fixed two of my Canon lenses. Been over a year and not once have i gotten the Error 1 message again. I had to do it several times, but it did work very well.

    • @RizandroNapone
      @RizandroNapone 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      "taking photo with flash" means autofocus is disabled and its on manual mode right?

    i have seem problem like this on my lens... but when i did on zoom in position is error. at the normal is ok... i dont know what the problem.. :)

    • @signalearth
      @signalearth 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      this is exactly how my 24-105 + 70D functions. completely normal @ 24mm, zoom at all and get the err01 message and the jamming motor sound inside the lens. zoom back to 24mm and it goes back to normal. you don't even have to turn it off or take the battery out, the error message just goes away

      @@thisisawesome3501 not a fight, but how do you explain my situation all my lenses are working fine on other cameras but on one camera i get the Err 01, there is no way my lenses are faulty yet they are working fine on other cameras, so am ruling out a fault on the camera that has this issue

    My 6d has been doing this, but only with 2 of my lenses (canon 50 1.4 and tamron 28-75) but my canon 100 mm 2.8 L lens works fine. Any thoughts? The two lenses that dont work now used to work and then all of a sudden stopped.

    • @thisisawesome3501
      @thisisawesome3501  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry I don't know it sounds like there is something wrong with your 6D camera, rather than the lenses.

    I had the same problem and although it seemed to right itself, it wasn’t long before the problem returned. I delivered the lens to Canon and they confirmed the fault by connecting the lens to another camera. I was there at the time. The fix cost me CA$450/£250. Took a couple of days only.

    • @thisisawesome3501
      @thisisawesome3501  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brian Kane are you saying that it did work? Or it didn't? Did anything happen after you shook the lens?

    • @briankane6547
      @briankane6547 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      None of the assembled "cures" I tried was 100% successful, the "shake the camera" LEAST successful. I doubt it'll be a see a professional job.

    • @briankane6547
      @briankane6547 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not a thing. I'm beginning to suspect the camera more than lens. The problem is NOT consistent, but manifests itself with both lenses.
