In my opinion Chester as Chris will forever be in the greatest of all time front men for a rock band, I don't think a day goes by where the world doesn't miss them!

That song shreds my heart every time I hear it, The other version of it is just as haunting with him holding fans hands and 20,000 lighters in the dark. Saddening, Maddening and Joyous all at once. Glad you did this, Peace my Friend .

i have only ever been to 2 concerts in my life, and one of it was Linkin Park. I couldn't see a thing because i'm tiny and people around me were tall so i can only see them through the gigantic screen on either sides of the stage. But i still felt the energy and i wished i had the opportunity to meet him.

I loved Chester and Linkin Park, but nowhere near Freddie :P That said the official clip for this is like he already knew, to me "One more light" is truly one of the best songs ever written even knowing it wasn't meant for Chester ;) I actually can tell you I got to see Linkin Park live 1 year after the release of Hybrid Theory and several people (who didn't know them at the time) thought he was playbacking live cause he was so good, story i'll never forget :) It's also cool to cry, people that say "i love music" but they never cry is because they never really FEEL it

And THIS is why you're my favourite reactor I know. The fact that you show your emotions like this is touching my heart so much. I cry with you. I feel so many things watching you react to music.
So, thank you SO much for this reaction. I love Chester and Linkin Park. My biggest dream when I was a kid and a teen was to see them life... sadly, I never had the chance to. I still have struggles listening to their music. It just hurts. I'll never ever forget him. He'll always be in my heart.

that scream is haunting and sounds like Chester put all his pain in it. I always wondered if they took that scream from this live performance and put it in the recorded version. I kind of recognize it playing in the background of the song. I could be wrong though

I've watched a few of these and this is the first reaction I've come across from a genuine LP fan. I'm a 35 year old male & I was a hot mess with you brother so don't apologise. Chester had such an influence on my taste in music and life. To the point where I wanted to get flame tattoos just like his. I was already a mess but the scream of "I do" absolutely broke me. You can feel and hear that raw emotion. RIP Chester. And love the channel!

The line about an extra chair and the end when his voice was cracking and couldn't finish is absolutely devastating 😭. I feel so blessed I got to see them 5 times and actually had Chester sing a line of Morning After because I had a sign asking him to play held up the entire show, even in the pit. I was lucky enough to have been 30 feet from the stage and it was one of the best memories of my life considering they were my favorite band since they were named Hybrid Theory before they changed to Linkin Park

Please react to the 20th anniversary Meteora gems that Mike has released...start with Lost then Fighting Myself. He opened the 2003 Meteora vault. I was a mess five years ago when we lost both Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington. I've always been a fan of Linkin Park and Chester's but Chris has always been my favorite front man. He was just so ridiculously talented and I love Soundgarden and especially Audioslave. Anyway, I'm glad you posted it but I did cry all the way through... and the pain in Chester while he sung this was heartbreaking.

This made me start tearing up before the song even started. Chris and Chester’s passings are the first and only musician deaths to really affect me and they’re two of only three celebrity deaths to affect me, the other being professional wrestler Bray Wyatt. I love Hybrid Theory and Meteora, but it’s this song,as well as Audioslave’s Be Yourself, that have touched me in a way very few songs ever have. Chris and Chester were incredible singers and it’s already been six years too many without them both.

Your point about being angry and sad at the same time is fully valid. So many things to be angry about that possibly could have saved at least one of their lives. Sad because all we have is memories of their greatness. Thankful that there is TH-cam though so they live on forever

I really wish I could've seen them live. They were so formative to me. Up until I was 17 I lived in an almost brainwashed state and they were the few glimpses I got of something real. When I heard he passed the day he did i went home sick from school. I felt it before I knew it I didn't find out about him until after I went home. It's a day that I will always remember in vivid detail. Linkin Park and Chester mean so much more to me than anything else and this video was something I would and still do always go back to to keep him in my memory I'm glad you got to react to it and finally see it. If you still read these I highly recommend "Dead by Sunrise" if you haven't yet it's kind of like Chester's Fort Minor

Thank you for uploading this. I'm catching up on videos today and when I saw this while scrolling I had the same thought after clicking, "why am I doing this to myself" but I think that every time I go to this song and it never stops me. It's two days till the fifth year since we lost Chester and I still remember how hard the news was when it came out, and I'm not even a huge Linkin Park fan. I didn't need to be, I love their sound and every way they changed music, you couldn't go without hearing them everywhere.
You mentioned at the end through songs like this, maybe we should have seen it coming, and maybe that's true. Something I always admired about Chester was his talent for finding just the right words in his lyrics, never pretentious or flowery and with the ability to punch you right in the gut. "Were there signs I ignored." Something I've learned through my own experiences and other losses is that by the time you lose someone this way, they'd already been hanging on as long as possible, and doing so for the ones they loved. They stayed as long as possible for you. We get angry because yes, there were signs, but there was nothing we could do in the end. Every day is a string of battles in a lifelong war for some. Every day lived is a string of battles won, one more day we got to cherish and remember them by. Everyone's days run out eventually for one reason or another. In the end the reasons aren't what we should remember them by, but all of those precious days we got before the end.
This comment is too long already but since I've just come from a One OK Rock video I've got a memory to share. Taka met Chester once, there's a cute little interview of them somewhere on youtube. OOR always said how much of an inspiration LP was to them and their own sound. Thet were supposed to perform together less than a week after Chester passed. OOR had a concert in my area a few weeks after, and they performed this song with their own arrangement as a tribute. As a casual LP fan I didn't keep up with releases so it was my first time hearing it ever, so it's just extra special to me for that.

On February 23, 2024 Linkin Park released a unreleased demo from One More Light album called Friendly Fire. It has a music video for it that is very emotional but it is also like having Chester back for just a few minutes. It is definitely worth watching but make sure you have some tissues nearby.
It is good to see Chester doing what he loved doing other than being on stage, being with his fans, and being with his family and friends. Chester had such an amazing impact on so many people that he will never be forgotten about by anyone. I wish I could have met Chester before he passed away.

I never ever got upset over the death of a celebrity or musician, i could sympathise but never actually felt personally affected. I was lying on my bed scrolling Facebook or whatever when the rumours broke of Chester's death and my jaw literally dropped, honestly couldnt believe what I was reading, thinking surely not... then it appeared on the BBC website, it was true. I felt so devastated, like a close family member had passed. It seemed silly, but then I saw just how many people felt the exact same way, everyone was talking about it. I kinda forgot just what a huge influence Linkin Park's music had on our generation. I was out in London for drinks with some work friends a couple weeks later, I think it was an All Bar One or some other typical mainstream type bar/club, definitely not the sort of place I'd expect to hear Linkin Park being played... at one point in the night the DJ played a few LP songs back to back in honour of Chester and the club absolutely blew up, EVERYONE was belting out In The End and Numb, people that at first glance you'd never think would listen to that type of music... but we were all the same sort of age more or less, all 00s kids, and it was just really cool seeing all these different people from different backgrounds and social circles belting out those songs together. To this day i still get enotional from time to time when I listen to their music, and this performance in particular is always a tearkerker 😢 RIP Chester, forever missed.

linkin park are definitely the best rock metal band of 21st century and really missed chester , i hearing them in my everyday even tho i wasn't even existed when hybrid theory and meteora came out i 1st heard them around 2013 but definitely i loved them i used to hear their music everyday everywhere , when i was playing video games when i was training and in my daily life songs like crawling or numb , somewhere i belong , faint , new divide , bleed it out , and the list goes on , i really wished to have met them from close too but R.I.P. Chester , this song hurts a lot for sure , i mean chester helped out every teenager back in the day and generally many people with their problems people who were depressed for me he was giving me always power for the next day to come , when i was down or maybe stucked in problems he was there , it's really sad and unbelievable how 1 person managed to help millions but millions couldn't save 1 for me since u are a fellow linkin park fan also u should at least make many reactions to their songs and make basically a list of linkin park in your chanell

I love this song, everytime I hear it - it makes me cry and gives me goosebombs. I love Linkin Park. I grew up with them. I am very happy that I experienced them life and that I was able to experience Chester's voice several times - especially in these slower songs. I really miss him.

I want to give you the biggest hug right now. I've been a fan of LP ever since Hybrid Theory, sadly I never had the chance to see them live. But their songs have spoken to my soul all the way from the start to the end.
Never apologize for honest emotions. I cried with you all through the video.

To see Chester doing a tribute to Chris Cornell knowing how his life ended the same way makes me just so sad now. 😭😭😭😭😭
    RIP to both of them.
They and bands like them were my literal childhood. I went to at least 5 Linkin Park shows! They were always so good!
Don't worry we are crying with you. I'm bawling before it started even
    God the lyrics I can't 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
You are absolutely not an asshole for feeling that way. It's normal to be angry or sad when this sort of thing happens. It's so final but without any real finality if that makes sense.

Linkin Park is one of my top two favorite bands, second inly to BTS. I saw them 3 times in concert. I started tearing up when all of a sudden you yelled that this was a bad idea. I think I like BTS so much because they remind me of LP because they mix vocals and rap. That's what drew me to both bands in the first place.
