Thanks for putting this out. Just changed my 853 trans oil using this video. It did not take the 2.7 quarts only about 1.5 to be at the top of the high mark. Apparently others are finding this to be the case as well.
Would be nice to hear from BCS on if this is correct.

When removing the transmission bolt isn't there still silicone on it? If so, do we have to remove it before reapplying a new layer of silicone to the bolt?

Yes, you are correct. Remove any leftover silicon before applying a new layer.

I just changed mine in the 853 and it only holds 1 quart. I put 2 quarts in and checked it and the level was half way up the dip stick. I drained almost a full quart out before it was at the full position on the dip stick. I will check it again after I run it for a little while. I'm curious how you came up with 2.7 quarts, the entire case would be full.

The 718 Does NOT hold 2.4 quarts. I just changed mine and it only holds around a quart, maybe a little more.

Thanks. What brand silicone sealant are you using here? I have a 749 PowerSafe machine. Is the procedure different?

What brand of silicone sealant?

Any RTV silicone sealant will work.
