Just listening to this as I am planning on relearning it (learnt it when I first started playing the organ) for a Buxtehude to Bach recital, fab performance!
@@MarcusReeves It will be somewhere in the summer on a Neobaroque mechanical instrument pretty much in Noordbroek Style. I am currently thinking of the following program (in case you are interested); Buxtehude: C manor prelude buxwv 137 Ach herr mich armen sunder Herr christ enig gottes sohn Bohm vater unser Bach Cathedral BWV 533 Bach O mensch Bewein Bach Dies sind die heiliges zehn gebot Bach prelude Es Dur BWV 552 As for recording: I shall try, have to get a microphone from somewhere though!
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch. For an ageing set, I still think it sounds pretty well. We’re so lucky to have all this literally at our fingertips!
Um virtuose a emprestar à Bach a dignidade e o tempo logarítmico que sua obra exige. Privilegiado com mãos e pés descomunais, transformou estes últimos em pé-dais!
@@MarcusReeves yes it is such a nice combination of pipes dating back to 1524/1676/1743/1825/1974. It was the organ on wich I received some years of organ study.
Praise God for your talents. You even upgraded his fabulous instrument! Now is the time to turn to your creator and sustainer. Time is extremely short for all mankind's eternal soul. That is what Bach's music is all about. You fill in the dots. My prayer is for man to repent as John Baptist preached. Matthew 4:17. God bless you.
A nice, tightly controlled performance, just how Van Oortmerssen played Bach. Well done, Marcus, thanks!
Thank you, Ralph!
It's been great pleasure to listen to this performance ! Thank you
Thank you, Plotr. 😀
Sounds beautiful. Perfectly performed, clear sound... Bravo
Thank you very much!

You should record your recital? Buxtehude and Bach can’t be beaten!

Great programme! I wondered if Böhm would feature too. Best of luck and if you manage to record it, I’ll look forward to listening.
@@MarcusReeves Thank you Marcus!
A very assured performance, Marcus, of Bach's BWV 533 - which sounds absolutely glorious on the Hinsz organ sample set: bravo!
Thank you very much, Graham. For its age, the Hinsz still sounds remarkably good!
Bravo!! your playing is superb, and I really like he quality of the instrument too.
Thank you! The Kampen Hinsz is holding up well despite the age of the sampleset.
@@MarcusReeves Oh, I see! It's such a beautiful instrument.
Beautifully played - thanks Marcus!!!
Thank you, Jerry!
Splendid performance! And your tempo was perfect given the acoustic, allowing for clarity while remaining stately.
