I had this car in 1988.. I bought it in 1987 when I was in HS.. I bought it with all the money I had saved working from 6th grade until I was 17.
I sold it in 1989 for money to pay for college.. I should have never sold it..

I bought one from a friend in 1989, two years out of high school. Silver with blue stripes like the one in Fast Times At Ridgemont High. 5.7L, T-tops, Air induction hood. I crashed it into the front of a house😢. I still have dreams about that car sometimes!

Wow. That would be in my driveway, if I just didnt purchase one of my other dream cars, a 2016 Blk Charger Hellcat, with red leather.
I love thé fact thaïs Z28 is a loaded 80, 4 SPD, modified to todays horsepower. I love thé power options on it to, ttops, tilt, pw, pdl, cass, air, rear defog, delay wipers.
I wonder if thé air induction soleids still work, open up on hard accelleration.?
This car will most defiently sell, even for that price.

I noticed there was an extra cluster “probably original” cause the one in it is for a 1979 because 80 and 81 had 85 mph clusters; also the tail lights are missing the black stripe across the middle of tail lights. But hey car looks and sounds great. Miss mine.
Many people overlook the Z/28 specific tail lights.
Very nice car. Bout to have to buy a low mileage one, tired of restoring them.
Why restore a car and not put the AC back on, and then want 38k for it?
Short cut Sam , makes no sense why they wouldn't add it back. To me it would be a deal breaker.....no buy
The Harrison/ GM air-conditioner compressor is fitted with brackets that bolt onto the drivers side exhaust manifold, the moment that you add headers you have to forego the luxury of air-conditioning.

I have a all orginal 80 z28 Air-conditioning car not t-top and I'm glad,, dark green with green stripe, ready to sell,, needs repaint and I'll let it go for 10,000

Looks like a combo dark blue/lighter blue interior. Not a fan of the t tops.
WHEN I MOVE OUT OF CALIFORNIA AND THEY PUT THEIR SMOG PIPES UP THEIR SHAFTS , THEN I’LL CONSIDER BUYING ANYTHING I LIKE !!! IN ANOTHER STATE , CURRENTLY ANYTHING 1975 AND BACK IS SMOG EXEMPT !!!
