Wow doctor that was so simply said yet extremely impacting the way you said it. If that makes any sense at all… Thank you for having such a no nonsense approach on such a laboring topic.

I would do both. Control my diet and exercise. I would also like to be more fit and build stamina so I can keep up with my brother and friends when roller skating

Funny. I spent 2 years exercising everyday and only maintained same weight. Then, I started cutting calories and fasting with no exercise and started to lose weight. So basically, whatever combo you do, you need to have less calories then what your body needs.

was dieting/fasting sustainable? in my own experience, only exercise helped me to lose in the long run. dieting or fasting simply made me ravenous after a while and I would regain the weight and even more..

@@yuyufps Fasting worked short-term and showed me that I could skip meals and be fine but ya, not a long term plan. I do recommend at least trying it.

Diet for weight loss, exercise for health.
And exercise for maintaining weight in the long term while eating the food you love.

Exercising is required to become stronger, faster, more endured and conditioned, combining that with a healthy, balanced diet will net you maximum results. If you only care about your numbers on the scale, diet and nutrition and more important.

2:55 is spot on, why diet is the only way, eating less calories won't leave energy for exercise. Therefore, it is better just to watch diet.

The point is: fat weighs less than muscle, so if I want to lose weight, just get lighter. I should just eat less and not exercise, so I don't run the risk of gaining muscle mass that weighs more than fat and thus speeding up the weight loss process. That's how I think, am I wrong?

Do you have any diet suggestions for adolescents who have less potentiality to control their own calorie intake especially when they eat what their parents provide? And you dont have enough to provide for your own yet?
