Gladly i don't do and never did that kind of sh*t for gacha games. You’re right about that because often times people tend to reflect their experiences off the game based on how much the game is making, if the game is making a lot of money that means that their time and effort into the game is justified. Usually, if the game is seen not making enough money in revenue from their perspective, the game is dead because from their perspective is as if no one’s playing the game and they don’t wanna play a game that not many people are playing or if it’s not good even though in reality there’s a lot of nuances when it comes to revenue versus actual player count.

WuWa still has a lot of room to grow. The story needs to improve (A LOT). The va doesnt seem so bad now (even f rover has started putting in more emotion). I dont care about the revenue competition that much as long they have more than enough to grow and develop the game to be great. But I sure wont be giving hoyo anymore money than I already do with HSR. Sure genshin has one or two good story moments but I would rather spend my time play a normal game than play another hoyo gacha that is designed to suck the soul out of you and your time. I want to support WuWa because the generous gacha doesnt make you feel that you have to empty your wallet to get something and I do enjoy the combat a lot. I just hope the massively work on the story delivery and not rely on jargon or romance to patch the broken lore.
yeah they need to improve the story and also give us a better variety of endgame modes. I believe the game will be great one day but in terms of popularity idk how much more it'll grow. Launch months are really important for that but kuro fumbled a lot and so alot of players left. ps5 is gon be their last shot at really expanding the playerbase and I hope they polish and improve wuwa as much as possible before then.

If they keep on improving these modes I will have plenty of stuff to do and enjoy. I just really hope they work on the story. Good story is the prime drive for many players. It generates hype for the character and keeps people engaged for the long haul even when combat can get repetitive. They need to work on their world building, lore, story delivery and va. But you are right that they rushed their launch and are still playing catch up to a complete, bug free and polished experience till this date.

The truth about Gacha revenue war is pointless. The Hoyo games(HSR, Genshin and ZZZ) all each gained 100m on all platforms. WuWa probably about 20-30m combined with PC. WuWa will be fine but no longer a challenge to Genshin. Hoyo games against each other also pointless as Hoyo still got the money and it's clear they're not cannibalizing with each other. If you need an example of how this route can hurt your game just look at Legends of Runeterra an amazing game killed because the devs were too generous.
