The head coach will always get the lion's share. The buck should stop with them. If the assistant coach is doing something wrong, it's the head coach's job to correct the situation. If it was the offensive coordinator's decision to go away from the run and the head coach didn't agree, it shouldn't have happened.
I think it's more along the lines of A&M didn't even think they were capable of competing with the big dogs until Sumlin got there. I don't recall the Aggie fan base feeling obligated to compete for national titles on a yearly basis until Sumlin and Manziel came in and beat Alabama.

Sure they have had a few good NFL players, but aside from that they have fewer than 10 conference titles and haven’t been a good force in over 25 years, they can’t beat rivals and have been the bottom feeders of their respective divisions for such a long time. They are not a Texas Longhorn or an Alabama Crimson Tide, it’s are just not that good of a football program.

The problem with the Texas schools is that they keep promising starting spots to certain players from certain high schools.
