As a Michigan fan I was concerned about Kelly but the things I’ve heard about him coming from players. I think he will serve OSU well with teams they are much better than but I don’t think having him as OC will help during the big games. His time has come and gone

When I take my fan hat off and simple thinking business I see that Day has a hard time adjusting and adapting because Chip isn’t the answer going forward. I had legitimate expectations for UCLA when they hired Chip Kelly. That didn't happen. I digress.
In all fairness he is still a good coach not an elite coach. I think what he was doing in Oregon was unique at the time now the game has changed a lot and defenses are not caught off guard by his scheme. Ryan Day should have went younger and more cutting edge.

The defense under Knowles will be the best we have seen in a long time. While it remains to be seen this Ohio state team could possibly be the best team ever. The biggest concern for this team is the O line.

Michigan wins with culture and player development. Ohio State is a mercenary finishing school for the NFL; they recruit far too many players looking ahead to their own individual goals rather than team goals.
