It’s amazing that Jada Toys is so new with 6 inch figures but yet their engineering and articulation is already better than 95% of other 6/7 inch lines
Hell yeah! That's what's blowing me away. I mean I haven't heard of them until the Universal Monsters line, and they were even improving on those with each release. Now these are in a class beyond that. Like they got their shit together _real quick._ Took cues from the import companies, like any smart business would do. Then you got a company like hasbro doing the pinless thing and occasional diaphragm ball joint, but still implementing an ugly ab crunch instead of a ball joint at the waist. It's as if they self-sabotage, or do half-ass incremental improvements to keep you buying the same figures over and over; but I don't think it goes that deep. It's probably the bosses of the engineers & design team that think what they're doing is actually the cream of the crop. Those higher-ups never look at other companies. They just know they're the only company putting out mass-market disney stuff, so no need to keep up with the Jones's.

Tbf I know them from doing the robocop reboot figures think they were 6 and 3.75 scale and they weren't the best. Awesome to see the product they are making now though
They should get the license to produce actually solid Invincible figures bc the Diamond Select ones are awful. That, or Resident Evil (unless mcf takes it), or BPRD/Hellboy figures
Based on the interviews juhn from jada toys has done on podcasts, it really seems like this is a passion project for him. He talks about being a big fan of the old sota line and how he wanted to make an updated version of it.
Seeing how amazing this figure and Ryu are at $25 really make other companies (you know which ones) look cheap by comparison. They need to get with the times like Jada!

I still want an MK line that accurately depicts how the martial artists/actors looked in MK 1, 2 and UMK3 I know those guys would all be down to lend their likeness's. So ya know not super buff and no part 1 and 2 costume mash ups like I want the source materials ya know. I have a bunch of Storm MK stuff because they are great figs but for accuracy nuts like me it still isn't it
I haven't played Street Fighter since my college days, but I want this figure. Hasbro has no excuse for their limited articulation now. They need to take a look at this figure and up their game. It'll be interesting to see how Jada handles the female characters. Hopefully they'll be as good as this.👍
Holy shit! I haven't seen the packaging for these until now, and *damn* does it look cool! Haven't gotten anything from Jada Toys yet, but pretty sure I'm gonna be very pleased whenever I get my first Street Fighter fig from them. They're like super affordable Mafex/Figurarts figs.
I just got one. This is craaaazy good. No lies said in this video. I put him right up in the display with my sh figuarts Street Fighter and it doesnt look out of place at all. For $24 that’s crazy. Jada Toys flexed.
The SOTA Street Fighter toys hold up so nice that I've still been trying to track a few down on the secondary market but now with Jada coming through I am definitely ALL IN on this line! These look amazing! The SHF ones are nice and I've picked up Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li from them but I totally agree with you, I don't love SF that much be all in at their price point, plus they're based on some more modern artwork/designs. These Jada figures have that CLASSIC SF2 look! Then we got Storm Collectibles with their FAKE ASS "1:12" scale. PLEASE stop fucking lying, that shit is 1:10 and they fucking know it. I hope Jada gets the license for King of Fighters!! That would be my DREAM line for sure, we don't get hardly enough KOF merchandise from anyone.
Yeah, it genuinely makes me laugh out loud with the "1:12" bullshit from Storm. Most of it is not even 7" scale, it's more like 1/9 scaled figures...which doesn't really go with anything unless you wanna pair them with Mego/NECA retro dolls. They look really great (even though I'm not into the modern designs), but I'm not interested in Play Arts Kai sized figures.
I'm just gonna keep spamming the comments. Like, I don't give a shit about this character & boring design, yet I'm so damn impressed with it. I didn't know there was digital paint on the face, so that looks amazing. And for freakin' $25 you get everything the Figurarts ones came with, minus some additional hands...for about $40 less. And if this was hasbro, it'd be a $35 "deluxe" figure, not come with the additional head, and of course gummy as fuck arms and legs. This new line is gonna be _really_ hard to find in stores. Now that I think about it, I don't believe I've ever seen a single Jada Universal Monster figure in person 🤔. I thought those things were supposed to be in stores for quite a while now. Either their distribution is super bad, or as soon as they hit the pegs, they get snatched up.

I knew these figures were gonna be great the moment I saw that promo pic they had of Fei Long doing the splits. Here's to hoping Jada Toys picks up more fighting game licenses in the future. Would love figures of other iconic characters like Terry Bogard and Jin Kazama in this scale, especially of similar quality.

I'm watching your live stream right now and had to come back to comment here. I was already looking forward to these figures but now damn! I'm kinda hyped. I was rooting for Jada from jump when I heard they were getting into 1/12 figures. The Universal Monsters have been dope, and I even liked the cereal monsters, but this Fei Long looks like it's gonna be BARRRZZZ! I love the way they approached the articulation and range of motion. I don't need every figure to move like Spidey but it's so dope to have a Bruce Lee-type martial arts guy that is so agile. Man, I'd love to see them get a DC license or some Indie comic characters. We NEED that in our lives.

His look is amazing but I do feel like the face isn't too nice when looked upon closely, it sort of looks better when afar. I also loved you analysis on the articulation; I think this shows drop-down hips aren't all that needed. Thorough and complete, also one of your best reviews!

I was on the hunt for that figuarts ryu but it became pricey on the aftermarket so I was super excited to see jada toys reveal their street fighter line. Seeing Juhn from jada toys on podcasts talk about this line got me even more excited because it seemed like this was a passion project for him and that they were coming from a right place making these figures. I'm happy they are living up to the hype.
Jadatoys just bodied other lines imo because these two being this good and only costing 25 bucks… it just makes me wonder WHY are others so much more expensive. Can you do a size comparison of him and Ryu with some DBZ figures when you review Ryu?
Best articulation I've eber seen! The range of motion is on par 👍 and those sota figures still looking amazing! Better sculpt, details and paint apps, if they were still alive they would be have modern articulation and way above hasbro mattel and other lines no doubt. Rip Sota
I don't know anything about Street Fighter, but I like good toys and these toys looked incredible since the first announcement. Glad to see they've turned out just as well as they looked. Jada is setting the standard for articulation, paint, and unique tooling in a $25 figure that other companies will hopefully have to start following.

I have the Figuarts Street Fighters toys, and just by watching these Jada Toys versions in action, I can already say Figuarts has been dethroned when it comes to Street Fighter toys.
@@UnparalleledUniverse Yup! Also with Storm Collectibles, their "Ultra Street Fighter" line aren't as posable as Figuarts and Jada. They're "chunky" especially on the legs so you can't do extreme poses like what Jada Fei Long there demonstrated. Figuarts can bend forward and backward but not the same range as what that Fei Long showed. I really like that Jada not only focused on the aesthetics, but also on the articulation system. I can really say it's on par with Figuarts range of motion, or even better!
It looks GREAT!! Jada killed IT!! I NEED an AKUMA!! And Guile, Sagat, Balrog. Hopefully if this line is mad successful, they'll venture into "Alpha" era. And maybe, just maybe...if they get a Mortal Kombat license.....OMG imma flip my Sh💩!!

I have the Figuarts Street Fighters toys, and just by watching these Jada Toys versions in action, I can already say Figuarts has been dethroned when it comes to Street Fighter toys.

@@UnparalleledUniverse Yup! Also with Storm Collectibles, their "Ultra Street Fighter" line aren't as posable as Figuarts and Jada. They're "chunky" especially on the legs so you can't do extreme poses like what Jada Fei Long there demonstrated. Figuarts can bend forward and backward but not the same range as what that Fei Long showed. I really like that Jada not only focused on the aesthetics, but also on the articulation system. I can really say it's on par with Figuarts range of motion, or even better!
