While DC has constantly been making figures of classic/older versions (Keaton Batman, West Batman, Reeve Supes, constant Nolan Batman stuff, etc etc) Marvel has weirdly avoided making new figures of non-current movies. We pretty much never get any non MCU Marvel stuff, aside from the Fox X-men anniversary figures and (weirdly enough) the TV Japanese Spidey

Yeah, Marvel really doesn’t have that many “classic” actors in comparison to franchises like DC or Star Wars. They only really started nailing movies in the early 2000s. I think we also gotta consider Disney’s ownership. They’ve made huge efforts to devalue the characters with movie rights they didn’t own. They’re all about the hot new actor and IP. So older iterations are more likely to just be ignored or downplayed unless it’s to their benefit.

It's been going on since the early 2010's and it just happens now that people are starting to realize that, it's one of the reason why the Earth's Mightiest Heros show was cancelled because Disney/Marvel wanted a show that would be more MCU inspired.

It’s the reason why Peter 2 and 3 only mention enemies that we’ve seen from their movies and literally no other ones. The only actual details that are revealed about them is Peter 3s continuing guilt over Gwens death and Peter 2 “making it work” with MJ

I'm surprised hasbro didn't try to make a Raimi 20th anniversary line last year to celebrate the first movie, or at least sneak in a Tobey Maguire SPiderman figure for their spiderman 60th anniversary line, would've been better than the iron spider/future foundation figures they released.

I may not even collect Marvel SHF action figures, But to be totally honest here, Toby Maguire Spider-Man from Spider-Man No Way Home looks really good and so will the cool but so funny Andrew Garfield Spider-Man figure despite Hasbro not getting their head likeness for their own NWH 3 pack, Great review overall Wade.
Its a good figure but im not going to let nostalgia blind me. It has its issues. But it’ll hold me over till whenever mafex makes theirs. Hopefully its much better and i feel its highly likely it will be. This figures good enough for now tho. Happy to have a tobey spidey figure again

No way I spend on Sh figuarts version of Toby figure I think brother Wade 😂 I thing the head sculpt is not good enough and the way this figure is constructed, esthetically it doesn't look good. I am waiting for that 1/6 Hot Toys version of my dude Toby Mac 😉👊🏾✨

Thanks for the review Wade, but the only reason for buying this fig would be the unmasked headsculpts. Regretfully none of them is worth the price of the figure. They're just off, IMO. I'm happy withe the original super articulated fig.

If you can find one for $80 then sure get it. But it’s best to just wait for Mafex to make a Tobey Maguire Spidey. It will look 10x better, same/if not more accessories, superior accuracy, and will cost about the same.

The thing I love about Tobey's Peter is the goofy smile. When he stepped out of that portal and waved and had that smile on his face I was sold
