Today we're saving some red sole Christian Louboutin sandals, with some nice new shiny mirror soles. I know you ladies love your red soles and hate to see the colour flake off, so we're not just painting them red or else we'd be back to square one in a couple of wears. We're revamping them quickly and affordably with new mirror soles. Enjoy the video and subscribe to see more! Dan.

Who else was just randomly recommended this without watching anything related to shoe repair
At all. 😂 😂 🤷🏻♂️
right!
And I thought it was because I watched two Angelo shoe some months ago 🤭
Me
For sure! It’s kinda odd...
When iggy said, “I walk a mile in these Louboutins,” she was going to see him. I understand why.
THIS COMMENT KILLS ME 🤣🤣🤣🤣❤
Just imagined Iggy Pop just casually walking in Louboutins.
That was way too easy to imagine.
OMG that song is really fire and you comment is so accurate. 😂😂😂😂😂💓
@@Rouzhianna Your right, I immediately got a picture in my head of a bar chested Iggy with a horse tail
staggering around in those heels 🤣
@@Rouzhianna right??
If you look really really closely, you can see he has a pair of shoes in his hands.
😂😂
IM DEAD. DEAD. 🤣🤣🤣🤣❤❤
LOL LOL OMG! Yes, I will re-watch just to make sure lol
OMG, Best answer ever LMAO 😂😂😂

Everyone complaining about the colour matching is funny. He's added a rubber sole to improve wearability and durability of an already worn pair. The match might not be perfect but nobody is looking at your feet from 18" in perfect lighting. Nobody will ever know and you get to wear your favorite shoes.
I think the complaint is more about the strange placement of the new sole. Why did he cut it off at the most illogical and aesthetically unappealing spot, halfway up the arch, the area which is most on display most of the time? It's just such random place to cut it off, he couldn't have made it more obvious and ugly to the eye if he had tried. He should have either stopped at that obtuse angle were the ball meets the arch, or brought it all the way up to the heel. The latter of which, in my opinion, would be the best option. Everthing would blend in nicely, you wouldn't have that obvious line across the middle of the arch, and it would also afford the whole sole the best protection from the elements.
Exactly. Half the commenters probably don't own a pair of red bottoms.. most probably... But they are keyboard expert's 😆🤣😂🤔🤣😂😆
i have no interest in shoe repair but when its a hot guy mending them you have my full attention
I wasn't even paying attention to the shoes 👀

Hey mate I have no experience in shoe repair but I just want to say, as an electrical engineer, you have an amazing attention to detail and precision in what you do.
Christopher Sousa thanks mate appreciate that! We don’t want sloppy jobs!
Agreed, I couldn't care less about Louboutin red-soles or any of that nonsense, but as an engineer's daughter I really enjoyed seeing the time and effort to get a good end product. My favourite part was finding out that cobblers will sharpen garden equipment etc. though! Far more useful.
Your profession doesn’t have anything to do with this….why mention it?
@@annakquinn7084 It does have everything to do with it. Engineers of all types are some of the most precise, careful, and methodical of any people on the planet. My husband is a family attorney and engineers are lawyers' least favorite types of clients because they try to overthink and control every last thing. And think they know law better than the attorney....they'll come back with a list of a hundred questions they've researched on their own. And God help you if you have to do a divorce for an engineer! Law associations even have classes in how to deal with engineer clients LOL. So for an electrical engineer to appreciate Dan's work....that means a lot!

Is no one going to mention the fact that he bought an ex a pair of Loubs and she had the cheek to ask for a new pair after she ruined them by wearing them to a cheap bar🤣🤣 this dude deserves better ahahah
I feel like asking for new shoes when your partner is a cobbler is almost blasphemy! 😂
He definitely does...she obviously didn’t deserve the shoes or the MAN!!
Anecdote didn't make sense. Assuming she knew she was dating a cobbler,,, would she not have just handed them over and say "fix"...
Cameron MacLean depends on the type of person perhaps🤣
@@evealexandra4367 That`s what he gets for taking her to a cheap bar :D
I am truly amazed that Louboutin uses printed paper soles. What a rip-off!
Awesome job on the repair!
Is leather sole but for walk is like a paper because very delicate .
wouldn’t this rubber finish be super slippery? Perhaps why they’re made this way in the first place...
They don't. They use polish. The paper soles is just what this shoemaker gentleman used as quicker fix I think.
@@j.r.134 he used rubber to fix it, the paper soles is what Louboutin uses...
@Susan S
You totally missed the point.
Thats not a rip-off. It's the feature. And those who wear them know that and they don't care.
It's all about the bitch showing off how she can affort to blow away 1000 bucks for an evening on her shoes alone.
In the same motion she will wipe a spilled drink with a 300$ silk scarf and let a chihuahua shit in her 4k chanel purse and laugh about..
I’d walk from Miami to wherever he is just to get him to repair my shoes
Are we that desperate

Enjoy your Louboutain?
Gurl! I'd do the same
You’d swim across a ocean? 🌊
I didn’t see a thirst trap shoe repairman coming, but I’m not mad at all.
I enjoy watching your skills. Here's an idea. You should show your customers' reactions when they come to pick up their repaired shoes. I bet most of them brighten up and that would also make us viewers happy too. Like episodes of "The Repair Shop"
I didn't think anyone did this type of craftsmanship repair work anymore.....Amazing! I'm holding on to my old Louboutin pumps for my next trip to the UK...
A great job!!! I had an uncle who was a shoemaker & as a child I was always in his shoe store and watched him work.Greetings from the Canary Islands Spain.
All of my shoes were fine before I watched this video, now it seems as though they’re all fucked and need some kind of repair. Where are you located 🤤
Nothing sexier than a man that knows how to use his hands. I wish I went and got a trade like this When I left school instead going down the office route. Shoes look great better than the originals. Good Job stud
Wooow, so much work to do, to have a brand new pair of shoe! From your videos, now I know what the cobbler did, when my boots heels got worn. The heel cap replacement was cheap, but sooooo much work to do! I was shocked, because it was cheaper than to buy a new pair of boot. The heel cap, lasts longer now!
I guess only a few of us entered to this video to actually see what the video is about, LOL
Ikr 😂
He knows damn well ain't nobody came to the channel for no shoes lol
😆
hahahhaa!
Me subscribing to a shoe repair page on YT. 😂
I did. My motive for subscribing however.....
She wanted a new pair and I was like: “you’re not having a new pair”. Legend😂💪🏻
So cool! I love seeing all the detailed work that goes into fixing a delicate pair of shoes.
Tha fact that he seems like a cool dude is just a plus, awesome job & talent! This was just randomly recommended but Ive always loved the idea of that I could be a shoemaker since I was little girl.
I came to the comments to see if anyone else was amazed by how slippery and flimsy the red bottoms look irl. Lol instead I was overwhelmed by the thirst.
Lol right? Comments be like 90% thirst. 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂 I think you just made my day lol your brilliant!!! you made me roar lol he is yummy though ain't he lol xxxxxxxxxxxxx
I confess I came to see the same thing. Seemed so slippery. The thirst on here is indeed overwhelming
Nobody cares about the shoes.

Thank you, for both parts haha.
Stumbled onto this and it's relaxing! Not even sure if we have someone to do this here, granted, not many people wear shoes like this either lol. Also, to your ex that complained she wanted a new pair of shoes after you gifted her something to that level should have been a sign to run lol.
Im starting to break all my shoes just to visit this. Cobbler 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hello, I'm from France to Paris, I love your accent when you say "Christian Louboutin" , good work and good job ,,thank you for your video, Bravo !
Craftsman making genuinely interesting content in a seldom seen very specialized field.
Has a strong build to deal with, wood, metal and leather, all tough unforgiving materials.
Viewers: "Ohhh he hunkey, wonder if he'd touch my bits!"
And you wonder why you all get Big Brother on the telly.
Right? My dude is legit super good at his trade and it's kinda ridiculous. Different if this WAS a thirst trap, but buddy just generally wants to repair some shoes :(
Love that your Sunday hours are "Not a Chance"
Without disrespecting you, you do a nice job, you have a beautiful voice and you are very attractive and forgive me for the stir.🙈
This is a very attractive guy fixing some really attractive shoes.
I came here for the guy 🤭
🤭
She wore those shoes out and you made them look brand new again...kudos...
This is fantastic! I love the precise attention to detail on top of how he explains things so well (the new rubber soles will keep their color way longer once repaired), I love a great restoration of any sort!
Good to know about the paper. I have wanted a pair of Loubs for a while and I'll certainly get this type of alteration as soon I get them.
Omgosh I didn’t know the originals are paper-like....? The finished product looks great!
Since I am climbing, and we need refreshments on our soft rubber boots..I am a big friend of shoe repair mastercraft and mastership and the commitment. Hugs
I cannot be the only one not paying attention to the shoes
Hi Dan, greetings from sunny Florida. Originally from the north east, U.K. I remember in my younger days back in the UK getting a stick on sole and a heel with a metal insert, as I always wore down the outer edge of the heel. I cannot recall even seeing a cobbler here in America. Good to see a dedicated tradesman at work.
Ive suddenly developed an interest in shoe repair 👀
Glad to see this old businesses still exist.
😳... f*ck the shoes. I want the cobbler. He would never have to fix my shoes, because my feet would be in the air.
😂😂😂😂 glad someone else said what I was thinking 🤣🤣🤣
Funny! LMAO.
🤣🤣🤣
LMAOOOO
😂😂 yasss! 💃🏻
I never really seen a shoerepair done , And for some reason i cant stop watching these vids .. :)
Well this just got recommended, hopefully others like me end up subscribing and this channel starts growing a lot.
The guy caught my attention honestly. Those arms n eyes, ohhhhh my!
This requires tremendous sleight of hand. Beautiful work.
This video popped up on my feed and it's not really my cup of tea but I do appreciate skilled craftmanship in any industry. Thumbs up!
I wonder if anyone actually clicked this because of the shoes
I did. But it was more like. Dayum those are some big ass shoes. I am hoping he says the size lol
I did.
Nope
I genuinely did. This poor man, just trying to show us his craft XD
I did.
The sad part is that everyone is talking about how handsome he is and no one appreciate his skills and commitment.
Yeah, the amount of superficial thinking people in the audience...
its a pretty lazy job doing half of the sole. Cause you can see the difference in color
Awe, I feel so bad for him ☹️😂😂😂
Fun fact: If you look very carefully, you'll start to notice he's doing something with shoes!
Fantastic! Handsome bloke, does shoe repair, and Viking weaponry repair. Great gig!
I have never seen that material used before. Interesting. I generally just sand mine down the paint them with an Angelus mix and a secret ingredient that makes them look original to the sole. Their "Walk on Red is too orange/red. It needs a little blue in it.
oh you can't tease us with the secret ingredient! ;) perhaps I'll do a video on the angelus walk on red.
@@Dan_the_cobbler Cruel indeed. I use this method to paint the vachetta on Louis Vuitton Almas so that it is smooth and slightly matte and the handles will not stick to themselves. So you don't have to use twillies around the handles and it is more integrated with the leather instead of sitting on top waiting to peel off and it goes on smoother, without streaks. The leather is less likely to scratch. I will tell you I apply the paint with good quality makeup sponges. You can wash and reuse them. See sample: poshmark.com/listing/Louis-Vuitton-AlmaVachetta-Painted-Gray-wAccess-5e22024d2f827651aa639738.
With the walk on red you have to add royal blue to it to get the color right, it is quite tomato orange/red as is.
@@Dan_the_cobbler If you do the Walk on Red video let me know in advance and I will give you one more tip that you can try in the video to compare against your standard method and my makeup sponge method. I feel it gives it a harder finish. It is even hard to sand off completely.
My brother and I inherited a shoe and luggage repair shop that we ran for about 10 years, how interesting to see this video in my recommended, lol. Beautiful shop dude. Wishing you nothing but success!
Your work is good! Your easy on the eyes handsome! Appreciate your skills🙋🏾♀️
i just like watching the videos calming effect of same way as watching the show repair shop
I have no idea how I got here but I'm so glad I did.
They came out flawless! Amazing work! 👠👠😁
Um.... woah. I don’t know what just happened but I’m glad it did.
The work you do looks amazing!
I wonder if he’s got a dungeon under his shoe repair business
I can only hope so...fully equipped with floggers and ticklers.
I'd be breaking my heels constantly just to go see this guy!
This man is an absolute master at his craft and yet all I can think of is "fix me, daddy".
I apologize.
Wow he did such a great job 😍😍😍
Dan is the sexiest guy alive.
Screw the shoes, look at his beautiful eyes 😍
ok i clicked this. From now on I'll be recommended shoe repair videos, and see shoe advertisements everywhere.
I love Louboutin's but you would think they would put on a sole protecter for the amount of money you're paying...
Or fully dye colour the leather.
You can buy them separately.
Yah they shoe companies do that to make you spend more money. Just so they make more.. But man this guy is amazing. :P
part of the appeal of red bottoms is it shows you are so rich you replace them often
no you go pay for another pair
The camera angles and lighting for this channel are really spectacular. Been hooked
I saw the thumbnail and I KNEW I had to come to see the comments
alot of women verrrrrry interested in this mans craftsmanship i see.
Men too!
This must be an alternate universe where Steve Rogers makes a career of repairing shoes instead of joining the Avengers lol! Great Vid!
Love it
Idk what I just watched but thank you. I really needed it.
Besides the pronunciation of the brand name he has my heart
I had a pen pal from Tring! I haven't ever heard of the little town again but just clicked on your video here. The local school was a sister school to mine, grades Kindergarten to 12th grade. Beautiful shop and amazing job on those shoes!
I’m sorry, what did he say? I was distracted by something...
I love these videos.
Watching someone work, that is very obviously skilled at what they do is so freaking relaxing.
AWESOME job mate. bloody brilliant.
Nice work. One of my two fave cobblers. Very skilled.
Awesome but I think you went a little too high on the sole. I think it's better when you only cover only the section closest to the floor. But either way, they look fantastic! I'm subbing.
a fair comment, thanks for the sub!
I didn’t know they had red rubber replacements. Great video.
I wouldn’t be happy being able to see the seam not to mention the completely different shade of red ... 😕
I expect that if the owner was bothered about that then they likely would have sent them back to the manufacturer for a full resole, rather than get a third party to fit a third party replacement.
next time maybe don't buy shoes with sole made out of paper
My thing is this bit Is on the bottom of the heel, and honestly unless you’ve got your legs up in the air for someone with your louboutins on, then whose going to notice? Furthermore, that rubber sole is probably going to make the shoes last longer because of the work he put in. I’d like to think that it is because cobblers don’t like to completely remove the original, completely fine parts of the shoe if they don’t have to. Could he have completely replaced the sole? Yes, he could have, but I’m sure he had good reason not to do it. Shoe cobblers seem like conservationists as well as artists, so there is probably some of that integrity and respect to the brand, to not completely get rid of the original sole.
I never knew that shoe repair was so competitive!!! Look at all those trophies!
Some women want Louboutins, others want Staub - I am the latter 🤣
I have been sent over by bedo’s shoe repair so here I am and I subscribed ☺️☺️☺️ good job!!!
For a long time, I thought Louboutin was just a funny way of saying Louis Vuitton
Beautiful. The shoe repair looks nice too.
When I saw this on my reccomendation I can't help but to click.
