- Pittsburgh Penguins at Buffalo Sabres on January 7th, 1994 at the Buffalo Memorial Auditorium. Preserved most of the game and will try to repair the tape containing the ending and post it at a later date.
I was at this game. Thanks for the memory. Drove up through Erie, PA to get to this game. Previously received Lake Effect snowstorm. At least 1.5' of snow covered the road entire trip. Great game!
We drove up from Pittsburgh. 2 hours to Erie. Then the snow started big time… 5+ hours Erie to Buffalo.!Barely made it before face off. At least half the crowd were Pens fans. Stranded in Buffalo Sat and Sun. 3 feet + snow, I90 closed.
I missed the Buffalo Memorial Auditorium so much it was so exciting always walking into that Arena the smells The Sounds the traditions you get none of that in the arena today they're all built the same
Henry get one of the best all-time backup goaltenders solid and dependable and one of the best goalie mask designs ever
And that is such a classic vintage Trottier from the boards perfectly to the front of the net play at 1:59:24
My God this was the beginning of such an exciting time for a long time for this franchise of the Buffalo Sabres. A young dominik Hasek just emerging a hungry young head coach Ted Nolan. Gary Meehan and John m u c k l e r rest in peace we're great GM's made very key Acquisitions while they were here. See what you want is you will about Darcy regier but he did a decent job in the beginning as well
thanks for posting a great OT Game, but then cut it off halfway through the 3rd period 🤦🏻♂️
Magnificent Hasek save at 1:09:21
