Serbia: “didn’t do great”, lyrics “too clever for the Saturday night crowd” Also Serbia: gets 200+ on the televote, comes 5th overall, is on the global viral charts today and is smashing the TH-cam views
Serbia finished fifth so I don't think you can say they 'didn't do great when it came to the points'. Their televote was high (about the same as Spain's) so it's not right to say that the rest of the world didn't pick up on it. The song is not about private health insurance, it's about the messages we receive from the media and how they influence our physical and mental health.
@@gabrijelavrankovic9958 She did not even come to the competition to deliver some extraordinary vocals, she is a PERFORMER. If you don’t care about a message that a certain song carries - what do you care about? Chanel’s buttocks?
Agree it's about unrealistic beauty standards, how the obsession with them and health stresses out women AND how the lack of health insurance for Serbian artists adds more pressure for Konstructra and others like her. Like Russian Woman last year it's art with a mission that memeability and great staging with some lyrics translated help sell. I stan both.
Jury killed Serbia. They won televoting together with Sweden in semifinal and they were 4th in final when it comes to televoting. So I would not agree they did not do great when it comes to points. Congrats to Ukraine🇺🇦
A few factual errors in this: - Armenia was facing the audience. They had a rotating set - Serbia did very well with the televote. The lyrics are understandable for a lot of eastern europeans who have knowledge of a slavic language and can grasp on to the meanings of the lyrics
What do you mean serbia didn’t do well, it came 5th and got more tele votes than the Uk and sweden. Besides the song isn’t just about free public health, it’s also about the ”beauty religion” that you need to follow and stay pretty and healthy and you can still have a sick mind in a heathy body” as she sings in the end
I am still a little sad for Poland because Krystian's song was just so beautiful and made me very emotional from the very first time I heard it. But obviously very happy for the UK to do so well even though I did not connect with the song at all. But well done Sam :)
Actually, Serbia came in 4th with the televote and it was the juries that brought it down. So apparently, people did remember "the hand song" and was motivated to call in for it! Thank you for all your Eurovision videos! Good job. And we'll "see" you next season!
That's a classic situation of a country getting ruined by the running order. I don't know what they were think but putting the 3 biggest male voices this year one after another(Australia, UK, Poland) wasn't really smart and it was logical to think that only one of them will shine..
I think the performance was a bit teashy with thoose effects and harry potter dementors. Still, the song and his voice was a 10. For me a top 12 for sure
Correct! Definitely, definitely not about any insurance. One had to look a bit at the background images and the repeated hand washing to understand the caustic message, even without subtitles. The last verses in Latin, said it all. It's pure art with capital A. I Loved her whole triptych!! Génial !
I was really hoping for a win from UK or Spain. Both Chanel and Sam have amazing charisma and got me. Ukraine had a good song as well, but Chanel and Sam
It's funny you say that about Hora - because of course Nelly was singing about Moldovan Hora in Moscow in 2009, Israel came second with a song about Hora in 1982 and when they hosted in 2008 Serbia sang about their version Ora.
The audience could always see Armenia, if you watch it, just before she tears down the paper, the whole circle she's in spins round, and it's open at the back. So for the first bit of the song, they can still see her, but then it spins around for her to tear down the paper and walk onto the stage.
You said that Serbia did not do great when it came to points? I really think that 225 from the televote, over 310 points in total, and the top5 finish is great, especially given how experimental the song is and the general climate in Europe these days. However, you might have expected more from it ranking wise, which makes your comment reasonable as I also expected more from the juries, for example.
Also, the song is just not about the private health insurance - Not sure where you got that from, but the last bit of the song that is in Latin (with the english subtitles) gives the final statement of the song: How worth is having healthy and beautiful body that our societies value, when we suffer deep inside?
Totally don't agree w you about Serbia. Televote clicked w Konstrakta and her mssg, her theatrical and artist performance. She sanged about rlly important thing and also she had great choreo to include audience in. Great job!
That is FANTASTIC! Was close in points to the 2nd televote place too. For an experimental, concept song with a strong message, relying on unconventional "stream of consiousness" narrative in its lyrics, and sung in serbian (and latin). I understand the laziness to delve into it, but i dont understand the dissmissive tone and the lack of enthusiasm for something that artistically unconventional and risky doing well. I guess she would prefer the likes of Loco Loco again.
@@TheZosjha and i don't understand why you aren't able to respect other people's taste. If she doesn't like it, she is allowed to do so. Besides that, loco loco was a better entry.
Serbia was 3 from the public after Ukraine and Sweden - so I guess lyric were not problematic for the public - it was the jury and you. Lyrics are good poetry - performance was adequate and striking. They were still number 5. I guess jury only went for vocals and this was not a song for flexing vocals. So saying it was a hand song is diminishing for the public. And it is interesting, you are making videos for ESC and you have so much resistance to read single song. It is was not about private insurance.
What are you smoking? Spain was third on the televote. Serbia 4th. And the jury votes are no being re-counted, the EBU changed the 6 countries accused of manipulating the votes which helped the UK and damaged Spain. If you apply the original Romanian votes, Spain would have been second. We’ll see how this drama ends. The jury gave 8 times 12 points to Spain, and 8-9 to the UK, so they were pretty diverse.
People are allowed to have their opinion. If georgina doesn't like it you have to respect it. Also juries go for WAY more than only vocal they go for music, voice, performance, package, etc.... televote instead goes for memorable acts.
for Serbia: "I don't think the rest of the world picked it up, it didn't do that great with the points" but...we came 4th in the audience voting and 5th overall?
As much i enjoy and respect your comments, what you said about Serbia is too shallow, lazy and totally beneath your intelligence. The song is definetely NOT about health insurance, but about our obsession with physical beauty. That is quite a relevant subject, but shaped in a very clever, authentic and totally original piece of musical theatre that brings a new dimension to what a EVSC-song could be.It defies every cliche. There is no glitter in costume, choreography or staging, no vocal fireworks, it is stripped to the bear necessities. And I am also dissapointed that you did not point out how she commands the stage while sitting down.
This is probably the best elaboration of In Corpore Sano I,'ve come up on the net, both i terms of lyrics and stage performance. The sad thing is that, regardless of the high televote points, a lot of people did' t get it or just didn't want to. These include the people from Serbia too. Love the beat and the song culmination.
The bear minimum? Really? Btw, you know people are allowed to have their own opinion, right? So if she doesn't like it, she is allowed to. Not everyone follows the majority
Saying that Serbia's entry is just 'a hand clapping song' is like saying that Tolkien's multi-complex The Lord of the Rings is just 'some wizards fighting some evil dude'. Kinda lost respect for this channel, you didn't strike me as the shallow type before.
You are really comparing Tolkien to the Serbian song! Wow! That is really something. How pretentious, to say it politely. I wonder how long this song will be remembered.
@@HRISTOHH It was simply an analogy in order to make a point. LOTR is just the first thing that came to my mind, it could have been anything else, that's not the point. As for how long this song would last, I believe for a very very long time. Peace to you, mate.
Poland is definitely my number one. He was, in my opinion - the best singer of the evening. Sorry UK, Sam didn't convince me, but, Ok, „Spaceman” is great :)
From the moment that you didn't like Italy's entry with "Soldi" by Mahmood in 2019 I am happy that at least you liked his voice this time. By the way the fact that they performed "to each other" was one of the main reasons why people like the song, because they are actually talking about their view of love and discussing about it, showing how two different generations have similar feelings.
@@TYGVlogger I like "Soldi", it is about a Mahmood's father and their story from Mahmood's point of view. I think that people may not like it for the sound or for his voice but the lyrics are beautiful for me and describe really well the situation. But if you think it's cringe it's ok, your opinion.
@@TYGVlogger I disagree. I loved Soldi but Brividi leaves me cold. I feel nothing towards it. I've tried, I've read the lyrics, but I simply don't connect with it. I was excited when I read Mahmood won San Remo, but was disappointed when I heard the song.
I have to say here in Serbia we loved it! It’s sad it didn’t do better with votes. I did a little research about it and learned that it’s in breton language and it’s so much more interesting and fun than typical chansons.
It continues to amaze me how ignorant and self-centered UK commentators are about the song (they hear Meghan Markle and actually think somebody is just namedropping her, they hear about lack of insurance and think 'oh ho lucky we must be to have National Health Service here'). Empires will always remain imperial in their minds, never moving their asses to understand the world beyond themselves
Btw the applause thing in the performance is a direct reference to clapping to health workers during the oandemic, including to the NHS. How can someone forget that just two years after the pandemic and get reset to the new normal where this is just about some lack of health insurance somewhere else, is beyond me
I understand and respect that Serbia's song is not your cup of tea, but I find it lazy and disrespectful how you continually downplay the deep meaning of the lyrics, even though many of your viewers already commented earlier that you should at least bother to read the translation before shading it so confidently and dismissingly. The final performance even had some parts translated on screen, which clearly indicate that it's sooooo much more than a 'random song about private health insurance' as you put it.
Bleeee. Po co się płaszczysz! Przecież zostaliśmy zniszczeni, poniekąd na własne życzenie. Znowu "działacze" i tfurcy musieli ZAISTNIEĆ, zamiast dać Krystianowi po prostu normalnie zaśpiewać. Wsadzili PIĘĆ grzybów w barszcz.
I am sorry, but jury vote was ridiculous. Sam did a great job, but he was just the fifth according to the televoting. So, he was not robbed of the win. If Ukraine did not win, it does not automatically mean that UK would win. It could be that Spain or Serbia or Moldova or Sweden would win. You can not know for sure. There were really many interesting songs this year. The people I know mostly liked Ukraine, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands and Moldova. France was also very underrated. I think their performance was very interesting. And Serbia did very well, very interesting as well. Well done Ukraine! Congratulations!
Yeah, I feel UK would definitely NOT win. Sure, some of votes for Ukraine was sympathy vote... but the song was great to beging with. If they sent some clubby shit, it would not do so well. I feel the Ukraine votes would go partly to Moldova (ethno stuff), partly to Serbia (quirky stuff). Very few of them would go to the UK. I think Serbia or Moldova would be the winners. UK maxed out what they would get from public. Also... vox populi... vox dei. Seeing how juries dragged Switzerland and Azerbaijan up the charts... blergh. No wonder that the jury vote got cut out of semis this year.
@@mollybrown8361 Nope. She said the rest of the world, as oppose to them, Eurovision fans, only had one view on Saturday, so majority of people don't understand it thus it didn't get many points. She said it before - that people won't bother to research what's the text about, so it won't do well. It did better that UK's English which everyone understands.
Also, no one understands how Production attributed a bad running order to Portugal (03) knowing that the SF1 result was great for Portugal (4th place) even if we only look to Televote. This is incomprehensible since the analysts say that bad running order places are attributed to the ones that didn't great on Semi-Finals. The Portuguese committee should question this to the organization.
Poland was my favourite and I also feel it suffered due to the running order. Also I didn't understand the dancers. Would of been better to just have him on stage
I thought they were demons at first. My husband thought the dancers were covered in reeds and looked like bodies washed up on the river so represented the dead dragging him to the river.
My dad told me that there's a polish urban legend about the women in the lakes and rivers who would pull kids in. That how he interpreted it. But it would've been nice to maybe previously explain the meaning of the dancers a bit or smth
Thank you for all your videos. I think we should have our own fan gathering at next year's contest. I will happily organise it for you! Please!! lots of love, Michael x
I think Spain's performance was one of the best in the history of Eurovision and by far the best Saturday night. It was simply superb and impressive, the most professional proposal, the most demanding technically, and executed to perfection. Spectacular. It will forever be remembered.
@@aekelly Do you know how much talent and hard work it takes to be able to dance so well and sing so amazingly at the same time? The song is catchy, though not very unique.
I feel like you’re slightly under talking Serbia, She came 4th with the public and 5th overall and you said the public didn’t get it? I disagree, her message was made.
As a Belgian, I find it kinda ironic how everyone said it is a better song than last year. Yet the results were pretty much the same. Last year we were 13th with the jury and this year 14th and then 3 points from televote vs 5 points. My favorite was and still is Sweden, then Czech republic and Spain. Congrats Ukraine!!!
Personally I don't understand the hype for the songs of the UK, Sweden and Greece, to name a few of the favorites. For 1 the voice was good (Sam), but all of the mentioned songs weren't good enough. If you look to the full picture (so performance, song and voice), Spain was the act to beat. But now we have the Ukraine as winner. The winner of the Eurovision Song Contest. The contest which was set up over 60 years ago to be more connected to other countries by art and thus music, so the chances of war will decline. I think that Europe showed perfectly that we all are connected and supporting Ukraine. For the Europeans it is clear: not only the politics are behind Ukraine, also the people who are living here. Maybe that is the main thing we have to get out of the tournament: the people in Europe haven't been as connected as we were yesterday.
My favourites were Spain, UK, Ukraine and the Netherlands. I feel the last one was really underrated as the song was beautiful. Anyway, Spain’s performance was absolutely incredible.
The shallow understanding of in corpore sano kills me every time i watch your eurovision videos this year... It deserves more respect: the first song ever to contain latin words in eurovision, konstrakta got an award for the most artistic staging this year, they did so well with an experimental song, her song has so many meanings (mental health awarness, the place of artists in serbia where they dont have insurance, the focuss on the outside beauty only...) I usually like your videos every year around for eurovision, this year was just dissapointing..
Well done UK…absolutely amazing. I have to say Georgina ( honest vocal coach ) Did predict so many of my favourites with valid reasons… but Poland, best vocals, best staging throughout the night. It was not the time for such a deep song. Good luck Krystian 🇵🇱
I am the same. The second one underrated is Saudade. And of course Poland, totlly neglected, but giving me still goosebumps although I listen to it sinc a month, on and on.
Just a thing about armenia’s staging. The audience could see into the ‘house’. It was completely turned around during the bridge just before she ripped the door off. That being said, i’m disappointed you didn’t like it that much. It was my favorite song by far this year.
I have voted for Sam many times, 8 points from the public vote in Germany for the UK. Send him again next year and he‘ll be the winner. I am in love with his voice!♥️
Congrats to the UK for ESC2022, glad to see such a deserving entry achieve the success it deserves after so. very. long. (Yes, I remember 2003.) I couldn’t help but notice the parallels between the UK’s results this year and Australia’s efforts in 2016, with both taking out the jury vote but being bested by a very deserving Ukraine. As for Australia this year, I’m proud of Sheldon Riley. He absolutely brought it to Turin.
Great stuff. I'm still loving Lithuania - it's that ploddy disco tempo that gets me moving every time the chorus comes in. Iceland were just a sub-standard First Aid Kit, complete with sisters. Credit to Portugal for having more than one live vocalist, and with nice harmonies like you said. Well done Sam!
I co, będziesz płakać? Będziesz się żalić i szukać pocieszenia? Przecież ona już powiedziała, i to dość niefrasobliwie, że była pod wpływem występu Sama i Polska na niej nie zrobiła wrażenia. Chociaż wcześniej nieomal MDLAŁA, słuchając Krystiana "akustycznie", i to bez mikrofonu.
I agree, Australia deserved a better ranking, both in Jury and [especially] in tele vote. He blew me away. For me, this was his best performance yet and I was shocked at the score he received. Seemed like a massive joke to me.
I think because the topic he sang about has ben rehashed and reused so many times that people don't really get charmed by yet another "Boy is gay but doesn't dare to tell it until now" story. Plus(this goes for most songs) the vocabulary was very small and lacking.
Ukraine had been in my top 5 from the start. Of course they deserved to win. Their country has brought consistent quality since they joined in 2003! They have never sent a NQ. Every year they choose amazing songs, and even when they intentionally avoid winning songs they send something Eurovision worthy. They were also ranked with a high chance of winning from the start, before Russia invaded their country and started the bloodshed. They would have been extremely popular either way, and there is honestly no telling where the televotes could have gone if Ukraine wasn't an option. So trying to declare anyone else the winner is ridiculous.
It was nice to listen to your comments in the last few weeks-thank you 😍 1 thing I don't get is how on earth jury didn't appreciate 3 best vocals of the competition-Australia, Poland and Azerbejian. I thought Krystian's vocals were flawless through out the whole thing since it all started. Why the jury only ranked him 'in the middle?' No idea...But of course, I'm happy for the UK to do so well. Congratulations to all contestants!
@@HonestVocalCoach so 5 industry experts' opinions are worth more than that of the public? Why should a tiny handful of people tell everyone else what to like? Especially when they are so out of touch with what people like. It was too ballad heavy this year, and even the ballads end up getting lost in that.
@@HonestVocalCoach The people pay for the contest, with their tax money. It's a tv show for entertainment, not real musical quality, cause let's be real most songs are just very very very weak(like most new songs now a days) Therefore it's the people that should vote, not some dude who thinks he or she knows everything behind a desk. It's paid by the people, for the people. So the Jury votes should be abolished, or at least made less important.
A small inaccuracy between the scores written by the jury of different countries and the scores written in the final, for example in the scores written by the Georgian jury Ukraine received 12 points, but for some reason the Eurovision representation gave this score to the UK. A similar situation exists with other countries and investigation is underway and we are trying to determine what happened., even though Ukraine would still have won by these points, it is wrong for a similar action by the Eurovision representation. At the same time, the representative of Georgia was not allowed to say live who the Georgian jury scored 12 points, and this intensifies this suspicion.
You are a vocal coach. But your knowledge of music is rather limited. Lady Gaga contacted Konstrakta. That tells you a lot. And how in hell Serbia did not get many points, it was 4th in televote!
Just because Serbia did not win, you don't have the right to call her limited in music knowledge. Many people did not like Serbia either, accept it. don't forget that Serbia didn't do very well with jury, and they are professional singers...
If it was last year or next year I think The UK would have won, but the victory was already determined when Russia invaded Ukraine sadly. But I’m still proud Ukraine was able to pull through and join the ESC during this difficult time for them. 💛💙
Well said. Especially right before the act they said how they have to go back to war after the contest. While hearing that I knew who the winner was. If someone asks me, UK won fairly. Ukraine won unfairly
I - Poland: My fave. Ochman's album is stunning, and "River" is a beautiful track by a charming and very talented singer. Unfortunately, the running order made it hard for him as it felt like EVERY MEN in the competition sang high notes. Also the staging was very odd. II - Germany: My country. The rap part was awesome and it is a very pretty song in general. It was the first time I actually felt - how do I put it - attacked by Europe. THIS particular performance did not deserve last place. I also noticed the almost obvious silence and non existing screen time. V - UK: I did not like it at all. I actually prefer "Embers" VI - Australia: stunning voice but he seemed pretentious and overly dramatic which put me off. V - Ukraine: A pity vote? Hard to tell but this year was highly odd concerning the votings. Jurys were everywhere it seemed whereas the audience gave, judging by lists, almost all 12 points to Ukraine (and Ukraine giving 12 points to Poland). However, it was a very enchanting song that certainly deserved a very high position in my opinion. VI - I did not like the hosts. My Top 5: 1 - Poland 2 - Serbia (would have been Ireland, if only...) 3 - Armenia 4 - Ukraine (would have been Croatia, if only...) 5 - Moldova
If you're "An honest vocal coach" than be IT. Say : " I didn't like Serbia's entry, I don't care to understand the lyrics and I'm pissed off that it got more public votes than the UK. I am British and I am happy that we finally have a not shitty song that people like and I was hoping that we would win." Imagine if I as a Serbian said : "Well, the UK didn't do so well with the jury votes. " Grow a pair and stop treating your audience as a bunch of morons. The oh so British gaslighting is not it.
Last year she was even worse towards italy... "nonsensical lyrics" she said while the song won the prize for the best lyrics. She has some interesting remarks to the songs, but she is strongly biased for sure
@@alexwtf80 I took four years of Italian in middle school, read multiple English translations of the song and am still not sure if I understood all the linguistic nuances of their lyrics. But I LOVE it when countries send songs in their own language, regardless. That's what Eurovision should be about, showcasing different languages and cultures, not catering towards lazy audiences.
Ukraine’s result - especially the devastating margin by which it won the televote - clearly confirms all those debated fears this was about to be a war/pity vote. The song was ok but nothing extraordinary by Ukrainian standards and in normal times it would do well, probably like their last year entry but it would never win, not the way they did with an average of more than 11 points from each country lol. Even Euphoria didn’t smash the televote that much. I only knew 4 songs prior to the contest, I even posted somewhere the UK guy’s voice was annoying but gotta admit he clearly won me with the live performance on the night. A very classy British song, you see Britain it’s not difficult to send quality, it’s nothing for you with your undisputed potential. In fact you’ve been humiliating us with the trash you sent to eurovision in all those past years bearing in mind the best music in the world is produced in the UK so thanks indeed for this change.
Its all over Romanian media today that Romania's (and at least six other countries) jury votes were changed, if you rewatch the grand final online you will see that they had "technical difficulties" with a few countries and couldn't get the jury representative live on TV, the Eurovision official announced that that Romania gave Ukraine 12 points but Romanian officials are saying on national television that this is a complete lie, Romanian jury had awarded Moldova 12 points and all the jury "votes" that were presented were falsified... so yeah... that's how Eurovision rolls, jokes on you if support these crooks... Romanians are very mad and considering leaving Eurovision and Romanian official is saying on Romania's national TV channel (TVR), that EBU hasn't even responded to their calls and emails when they asked them why did they switch Moldova 12 points to Ukraine! We Romanians are very 😡 upset, they think they can get away with treating little countries like Romania like this and stealing our jury votes and giving to someone else!!! Disgusting, really disgusting...
@@vyrobnyk6362 Moldova 2nd in televoting because it was upbeat and fun but yes Ukraine score was because of the war - UK, Spain and Sweden were popular with Jury and Public - usually you need both to win - Ukraine almost won with just huge televoting score
“Song about health insurance” you clearly didn’t understand the whole lyrics. Plus, it’s not just one view. We get to see performances in the semi-final too. Also, videos are being published on TH-cam months before actual competition happens. You don’t have understanding for originality that Serbia brought to Eurovision this year. You expect only some ballads and singing hard melodies and high notes, something that is already seen and not really original, but there are other type of songs and quality too. I’m glad that people gave Serbia well-deserved 5th place, and showed that your opinion that “Serbian will not qualify” was 100% not correct.
You know that original doesn't necessarily mean it's good, right? Original can be done good (like ukraine, france etc). Serbia was a terrible song and did it ever come up to you that people have their own taste and may not like the song?
I really liked the Romanian song. And Greece too. Poland was my favourite all along but like you I think it got drowned out by the songs before. Sam did so well though bless him. Oh and can people stop moaning about Serbia...couldn't care less whether it got more or less votes than anyone else. Its meant to be a fun contest. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. No need to be rude about it and insult other countries.
Oh dear, the fact that you said that Serbian sing is about private health insurance shows that you didnt even bother to understand the song. There were english lyrics on the screen for the most important part 😅🤷🏼♂️
Its great that you will not doing ESC Videos anymore....... Serbia and Moldova got more points from UK... You are like literally doing this so superficial...
The best part of the UK result is that the UK can’t blame Brexit any longer for their bad placements in recent years. Maybe the UK will start taking the competition more seriously again now 😀
I hope we do!! For years the BBC have been putting in lacklustre songs. This year they really went for it and we did amazingly well!!! I hope they've learned from this so next year we enter another good song!!! 😊
- You, UK, improved a lot the staging, the vocals were good, amazing performance. - The audience was very rude with Germany because they should cheer to all the contestants, I did not like that. - Poland did a very good performance (10/10), but 3 great vocals together, make it not to shine.

Armenia actually was facing the audience in the arena. There’s a section in the song where the entire set rotates.

I am still a little sad for Poland because Krystian's song was just so beautiful and made me very emotional from the very first time I heard it. But obviously very happy for the UK to do so well even though I did not connect with the song at all. But well done Sam :)
😂
I still don’t understand how Poland didn’t get top 5. Such an absolutely stunning song.
Ochman was amazing 💘 definitely one of the best voices this year
Yeah, me too, its sad for me as a polish girl i was hoping for a place in first 10
Thanks you from Poland❤❤❤
Actually, Serbia came in 4th with the televote and it was the juries that brought it down. So apparently, people did remember "the hand song" and was motivated to call in for it! Thank you for all your Eurovision videos! Good job. And we'll "see" you next season!
Poland was so underappreciated by jury...it was definitely not a winner performance but it should be at least in top 8, maybe in top 5 in my opinion.
Agree
Of course it should definitely be a winner. And in some sense - IS.
That's a classic situation of a country getting ruined by the running order. I don't know what they were think but putting the 3 biggest male voices this year one after another(Australia, UK, Poland) wasn't really smart and it was logical to think that only one of them will shine..
@@xdinosx3056 Agree
I think the performance was a bit teashy with thoose effects and harry potter dementors. Still, the song and his voice was a 10. For me a top 12 for sure
Serbia's song was definitely NOT about "private health insurance"
11th is more than reasonable
Honey i think you forgot that Serbia (hand song) actually did GOOD with the points, it came 5th at the end, 4th televoting score lmao
Totally don't agree w you about Serbia. Televote clicked w Konstrakta and her mssg, her theatrical and artist performance. She sanged about rlly important thing and also she had great choreo to include audience in. Great job!
she didn‘t sing… she recited.
@@Tom_OB no, there was a melody.
Serbia was shit
Lets be real, eurovision audience only voted for her hand movements and the weird act
What do you mean Serbia didn’t do well with points, it ended up 5th overall (4th in televote)… that’s not that bad!!
Overrated..people just found it iconic for her hand move
@@5Rays Moldova 2 public votes
What are you smoking? Spain was third on the televote. Serbia 4th.
And the jury votes are no being re-counted, the EBU changed the 6 countries accused of manipulating the votes which helped the UK and damaged Spain. If you apply the original Romanian votes, Spain would have been second. We’ll see how this drama ends.
The jury gave 8 times 12 points to Spain, and 8-9 to the UK, so they were pretty diverse.
Bravo! I agree with everything you said!
Moldova was second, Spain third, Serbia fourth, Sweden sixth bellow UK.
People are allowed to have their opinion. If georgina doesn't like it you have to respect it. Also juries go for WAY more than only vocal they go for music, voice, performance, package, etc.... televote instead goes for memorable acts.
Serbia came 5th, what do you mean it didn't do great?
for Serbia: "I don't think the rest of the world picked it up, it didn't do that great with the points"
but...we came 4th in the audience voting and 5th overall?
Agree except for your last statement. That wasn't necessary.
You are really comparing Tolkien to the Serbian song! Wow! That is really something. How pretentious, to say it politely. I wonder how long this song will be remembered.
Slazem se s tobom Bojane, odlicno receno!
@@HRISTOHH It was simply an analogy in order to make a point. LOTR is just the first thing that came to my mind, it could have been anything else, that's not the point. As for how long this song would last, I believe for a very very long time. Peace to you, mate.
@@boki5695 you really don't understand what georgina meant, didn't you.
Poland is definitely my number one. He was, in my opinion - the best singer of the evening. Sorry UK, Sam didn't convince me, but, Ok, „Spaceman” is great :)
He definately was. SAM sounded sooo bad
@@MisFellatio jury says different 😜
From the moment that you didn't like Italy's entry with "Soldi" by Mahmood in 2019 I am happy that at least you liked his voice this time. By the way the fact that they performed "to each other" was one of the main reasons why people like the song, because they are actually talking about their view of love and discussing about it, showing how two different generations have similar feelings.
Soldi was a cringe song to be honest
This song is better and has better lyrics than Soldi…
France tries something new and people cannot appreciate it. It's sad that you as well want a stereotypical ballad from France.
I have to say here in Serbia we loved it! It’s sad it didn’t do better with votes. I did a little research about it and learned that it’s in breton language and it’s so much more interesting and fun than typical chansons.
I loved this song and it was my favorite I was super shocked it scored so low. Serbian from 🇬🇧
Serbia's song's far from being about private health insurance.
Iskomentarisala je pesmu, bez da se udostojila bar strofu na latinskom da prevede.
Unfortunately, Georgina did not understand anything from the text.
How can someone forget that just two years after the pandemic and get reset to the new normal where this is just about some lack of health insurance somewhere else, is beyond me
she will never understand it
I understand and respect that Serbia's song is not your cup of tea, but I find it lazy and disrespectful how you continually downplay the deep meaning of the lyrics, even though many of your viewers already commented earlier that you should at least bother to read the translation before shading it so confidently and dismissingly. The final performance even had some parts translated on screen, which clearly indicate that it's sooooo much more than a 'random song about private health insurance' as you put it.
18 points from UK for Poland. Thank you all.
Bleeee. Po co się płaszczysz! Przecież zostaliśmy zniszczeni, poniekąd na własne życzenie. Znowu "działacze" i tfurcy musieli ZAISTNIEĆ, zamiast dać Krystianowi po prostu normalnie zaśpiewać. Wsadzili PIĘĆ grzybów w barszcz.
12 points from Ukrainian televotes and a shameful 0 from our jury 💔 me and my friends voted for Krystian 🇵🇱
Serbia's performance was brilliant performance art. Open your mind!
You have to respect other people opinion and need to understand not everyone has the same taste as you
It (Serbia) did better with the public vote than UK

@@mollybrown8361 Nope. She said the rest of the world, as oppose to them, Eurovision fans, only had one view on Saturday, so majority of people don't understand it thus it didn't get many points.

Portugal was criminally subrated by odds and analysts. It was 5th on the Juries.
It's in my top 3
Also, no one understands how Production attributed a bad running order to Portugal (03) knowing that the SF1 result was great for Portugal (4th place) even if we only look to Televote.
This is incomprehensible since the analysts say that bad running order places are attributed to the ones that didn't great on Semi-Finals.
The Portuguese committee should question this to the organization.

Poland was my favourite and I also feel it suffered due to the running order. Also I didn't understand the dancers. Would of been better to just have him on stage
Maybe
I think those women were drowned women- sort od a demons from the slavic culture- I'm Polish so that is how I understood it😛
I thought they were demons at first.

Totally!
my winner from day 1. I love that song. The staging was meh though
I'm still soooo sad for Cyprus not qualifying, the song was so beautiful, good job Cyprus 💖👏
My favourites were Spain, UK, Ukraine and the Netherlands. I feel the last one was really underrated as the song was beautiful. Anyway, Spain’s performance was absolutely incredible.
I'm still so sad for Cyprus, Albania and Ireland, they were all so amazing
The shallow understanding of in corpore sano kills me every time i watch your eurovision videos this year... It deserves more respect: the first song ever to contain latin words in eurovision, konstrakta got an award for the most artistic staging this year, they did so well with an experimental song, her song has so many meanings (mental health awarness, the place of artists in serbia where they dont have insurance, the focuss on the outside beauty only...)
I usually like your videos every year around for eurovision, this year was just dissapointing..
I totally agree! Also.. I challenge you Georgina and everyone to sing the song ,please! If it isn't vocally demanding. Show us its so easy! Lol
Or she has an other opinion as you
Well done UK…absolutely amazing. I have to say Georgina ( honest vocal coach ) Did predict so many of my favourites with valid reasons… but Poland, best vocals, best staging throughout the night. It was not the time for such a deep song. Good luck Krystian 🇵🇱
He was just too good for a commercial jury(s). They prefer simple melodies and crude atmosphere spiced with sex.
I am in love with Die Together 🇬🇷🇬🇷
I am the same. The second one underrated is Saudade. And of course Poland, totlly neglected, but giving me still goosebumps although I listen to it sinc a month, on and on.
Just a thing about armenia’s staging. The audience could see into the ‘house’. It was completely turned around during the bridge just before she ripped the door off.
That being said, i’m disappointed you didn’t like it that much. It was my favorite song by far this year.

How do you think, it's a good place for Poland? I think we should be Higher in top 10.

AU was a bad song. Really, boring af. Vocals great, but nothing more.

Thanks for the support 💙💛 we did have some bad songs, but usually next year after the victory, so we were automatically qualified

1 thing I don't get is how on earth jury didn't appreciate 3 best vocals of the competition-Australia, Poland and Azerbejian. I thought Krystian's vocals were flawless through out the whole thing since it all started. Why the jury only ranked him 'in the middle?' No idea...But of course, I'm happy for the UK to do so well. Congratulations to all contestants!
Lovely to hear from you

Songs are for People, not for jury, so, the People vote is the good one!
Hmmm. I’ll have to disagree on this one.
It's a tv show for entertainment, not real musical quality, cause let's be real most songs are just very very very weak(like most new songs now a days)

So proud of Serbia.
ALSO SPAIN HAD ONE OF THE BEST SONGSS and 3rd place 🤩🤩
You are a vocal coach. But your knowledge of music is rather limited. Lady Gaga contacted Konstrakta. That tells you a lot. And how in hell Serbia did not get many points, it was 4th in televote!

Just because Serbia did not win, you don't have the right to call her limited in music knowledge. Many people did not like Serbia either, accept it. don't forget that Serbia didn't do very well with jury, and they are professional singers...
She knows way more about music than the Serbia-stans who can't accept the fact that some people may not like the song

Well said. Especially right before the act they said how they have to go back to war after the contest. While hearing that I knew who the winner was. If someone asks me, UK won fairly. Ukraine won unfairly
Yep, they could have send 5 people farting on the beat and they would've won
Sweden and Greece DELIVERED with the vocals 👏🔥
I - Poland: My fave. Ochman's album is stunning, and "River" is a beautiful track by a charming and very talented singer. Unfortunately, the running order made it hard for him as it felt like EVERY MEN in the competition sang high notes. Also the staging was very odd.
II - Germany: My country. The rap part was awesome and it is a very pretty song in general. It was the first time I actually felt - how do I put it - attacked by Europe. THIS particular performance did not deserve last place. I also noticed the almost obvious silence and non existing screen time.
V - UK: I did not like it at all. I actually prefer "Embers"
VI - Australia: stunning voice but he seemed pretentious and overly dramatic which put me off.

2nd place Moldova by televoting due to war too?

France song is amazing from my pagan point of view, finally something not utterly BORING as usual
I don't agree. Creepy song
Exactlly. The Serbian performance was brilliant and meaningful.
You know that original doesn't necessarily mean it's good, right? Original can be done good (like ukraine, france etc). Serbia was a terrible song and did it ever come up to you that people have their own taste and may not like the song?
POLITICS! POLITICS! POLITICS!
I expect Eurovision Again will be starting soon, where each month they put out an old Eurovision in good quality.
Oooo oooooo!
Oooo oooooo!
poland was robbed 🥲

true!
It should be top 6, great singer with great voice...
@@anarrrche ale sie zesralas XDDDDDDD
spain was so iconic
Lame song never should have done that well.
The dancing ass, nothing more. Banal melody, the lyric the same, I suppose.
Yeah, exactly that. I see so many people get basically slaughtered when they don't like serbia's song. Truly sad they can't respect their opinion
Georgina , how can I send you a pic with the UK and Spain contestants ? To see what I’ve said before .
Thank you
Will you be reacting to the Eurovision next year ?
Of course
The best part of the UK result is that the UK can’t blame Brexit any longer for their bad placements in recent years. Maybe the UK will start taking the competition more seriously again now 😀
I hope we do!! For years the BBC have been putting in lacklustre songs. This year they really went for it and we did amazingly well!!! I hope they've learned from this so next year we enter another good song!!! 😊
- You, UK, improved a lot the staging, the vocals were good, amazing performance.
- The audience was very rude with Germany because they should cheer to all the contestants, I did not like that.
- Poland did a very good performance (10/10), but 3 great vocals together, make it not to shine.
really don’t understand why Krystian and Sheldon didn’t get as many points from the national juries as they deserved to :( But congrats to the UK for your second place!
Sheldon came top 10 with juries, you know. It's televote who couldn't appreciate him
Well done, Sam!!!💖
