As an Everton fan, I'm a big supporter of this concept being added to real life
Manchester City winning the CL as a mid table team after gaining back to back to back direct placements puts Leicester's title season to shame.
It would be interesting to see this rule implemented for the top 5 or so European leagues--would we see the next tier of European leagues with clubs like Ajax and Porto start dominating the CL, or would the top players just go to China and Qatar and we see the major countries keep winning but in slightly lower quality tournaments? Also would this make the South American leagues get better due to retaining more of their top players (or do those guys go to China/Qatar/MLS/etc.)?

I guess there weren't many changes as, since everything else was kept as-is, the big teams could just steal national hot prospects from the lower division teams.
Perhaps the reason Germany punches above its weight in football is because Bundesliga teams must have enough German players to field a team composed only of German players, plus one spare, and then are only allowed to have foreign players supplementarily to that. We on the other hand have no foreign registration rules because protectionism is un-English (like how the French all buy Citroens while we drive Kias) meaning we have the premier league of the world but keep losing World Cups.

Just goes to show how good those "youth academy teams" such as Benfica, Porto, Sporting CP, Ajax, and RB Salzburg are, as it's incredibly challenging to produce great talents to sell on for big money later on and maintain in the top flight both in the country and in Europe.
is it possible to make a save where player can only play player of the nation where theyre located? could be interesting to see if any wales team can make it to the prem

A database with as many teams as possible. The whole world would be great; we would see who really is the best, and if the OP England myth is just that
Also noticed wolves was in 20th in league one when you checked in on them
I doubt it's possible but it would be interesting if it were possible to ensure no players who come through a club's youth system can leave. Then we really would see who's youth system works best.
Palace's Category 1 status and stranglehold on the South London talent makes a mockery of this.
Do an experiment where 12 teams drop from the premier league and all the way to non league. So eg in league 1 12 teams get promoted and 12 teams relegated.

An European home grown would be interesting. There are some nations (Belgium, Netherlands, Norway, and more in east europe) I could see pick up some surprise trophies!

How about you give country with huge number of population but low fifa ranking (like india china indonesia for example) a very big tv right for their league . Will it increase their national team ranking. I just wanna see if big money to club equals to better acedemy and will result a better national team for their country.
