I'm the Stadium Announcer down at Weymouth... some interesting results there. Especially David Oldfield doing so well, cos in real life he got sacked a couple of weeks ago! Glory days coming to the Bob Lucas - can't wait.... what do you mean it's not real life????
I've noticed players develop a bit later into their careers in these newer FMs than they used to. Physicals probably stop mostly at that point but technical and mental ability grows quite well into their careers if the potential is there
Sesko didn't develop much in terms of attributes for me but he's a machine goal scorer for me, he's got like 150 goals in 170 games in all comps for me but dane scarlett is a beast
Been so busy, I missed this one. As a huge Weymouth fan, love seeing Weymouth in these experiments. Actually, I did something similar in FM22 with Weymouth. Kept many of Weymouth's players but added wonderkids to the team. Wonderkids included: Gabriel Martinelli; Kaiky; Jadon Sancho, Ethan Laird, Cole Palmer; Liam Delap; Jarrad Branthwaite; Eduardo Camaviga; Gavi; Alejandro Balde; Pedri; Mason Greenwood (prior to his legal issues); Alfie Devine; and a few others. Due to eligibility rules, had to stock up on English players, but somehow overlooked Bellingham. Team rose up the ranks very quickly, reaching the Premier League in less than 10 seasons.
You should try this again but with 4 wonderkids (a gk, a cm, a cb, an attacker) on each National League team and see how the clubs get on as the players' grow
Moukoko had the WP logo against his name during each update, I imagine there were some others who lost their work permits. That would be why their appearances are low. Probably need to check that and maybe do this one again.
I've done an experiment similar to this myself, but 7/8 years into the save the AI simply decides to not register any of the players in league competition (presumably since they're "leaving" the club). Do you have any ways to fix this?
as you discovered, the idea that players completely stop developing once they age out of U23 football is a bit of a misconception - that's about where the downward slope starts in terms of development, but they won't fully stop improving until their late 20s, when they hit their prime. one of the biggest factors in successful development at this point is finding them *regular football* in *high reputation competitions* that are *appropriate to their current ability* - like, say, getting promoted to the premier league, playing in the conference league and europa league
The stopping improving at a certain age thankfully hasn't been in the game for a little bit - I remember before when a player hit either 23/24 their potential star rating would instantly drop to match their CA rating the day after their birthday (I know star ratings aren't everything to go off blah blah) which was just ridiculous
You could repeat this experiment by putting them in a Prem team with perfect facilities and a transfer embargo for 25 years to see just how OP they can become. Just for fun! Also you could remove Bayern but you could also leave them there too…
I discovered Lorenzo Lucca a couple of months ago and since then he was in almost every single team I played with. Bar my save with a 3rd tier German club (he was simply not affordable/I didn't want to spend so much) he always made it. Totally reliable forward, tall as a tree, team wingplay, high crosses, winning. With corners I let them play first post and he runs towards. And you can get him absurdly cheap in the second season. Round about 6.5 Million €. Never had him miss his potential and some insane goal stats. My absolute favourite transfer 10/10 I do it again and again.
Hahaha at first i was like... oh my he's wrong like i was with this "players stop develop after their 23 birthday" but he changed his mind. Realised this in FM22 when i got a 190PA guy which didn't developed properly until he was like 25. Coaches always said "can improve significantly" and my only though was he's lying. We've had this players before which hit their peak age 19 and then suddenly stop improving. FM22 was/is great with this late bloomers.
About players' development, I find they develop way faster before 23, but they still can rise after this. Which is realistic if you consider players like Giroud or Kanté who played in Ligue 2 around 23 two or three years before joining Premier League and French national team.
Very cool Experiment video Tom. The Wonderkids couldn't turn Weymouth into a Title Winning Side but they layed down the foundations for Weymouth too become an established Prem Side.
Could you do the same experiment with the wonderkids playing for a Norwich or a Watford. Interesting to see if they would dominate and hit the potential ability.
Is it possible to tie these players to one club in terms of their contracts, but allow them to be loaned out to anyone else that wants to develop them? It would be rather interesting to see these wunderkinds develop partway at level 5 facilities and then some of them get developed in parallel at these other clubs. You could throw a lot more of these players at the experiment if you were able to do it that way.
Can you do an experiment video where you check how much goal bonuses or assist bonuses incentivise players to actually score more goals or get more assists? E.g. Simulate a premier league season once where every striker has a crazy high goal bonus and once with no goal bonus. And do the same with the most creative player having a crazy high assist bonus and once without and see the difference?
if you keep doing this to the kids, i will lock you in my basements on a starvation diet of dryed fishheads, fish and chips originate from saudia arabia, you are mistaken by fish and ships londonistaner
Kudos to the manager who managed to climb non-stop despite being a nameless dude compared to the players he had to coach. He still never lost the team and fans' trust the whole time. What an amazing guy he must be 🫡

Glory days have a word....your struggling financially lol ytfc green army!!! We hate Weymouth and we hate Weymouth
not surprised they developed a lot quicker when they reached the prem it feels more realistic than them just not developing cause they’re 24
I've noticed players develop a bit later into their careers in these newer FMs than they used to. Physicals probably stop mostly at that point but technical and mental ability grows quite well into their careers if the potential is there
we gonna ignore bayern in the prem
I thought you were gonna give 22 clubs 1 player and see who makes the most out of their wonderkid of the bunch, would also be quite interesting!
Surprised you didn't include the wonderkid Šeško. One of the best strikers in the game, his penalty taking is unbelievable.
He's a fraud!
@@TomFM not the manager. Definetly not.

15:02 - yes they brought in another keeper, you missed donnarumma chilling at 11:45

What is Bayern Munchen doing in Premier League? 😂
I was thinking the same thing. Thought I was seeing things
Yeah I noticed that.
Did you watch the video? He talked about that.
@@AdamPersson do you know what a joke is?

This type of experiment tends to highlight work permit issues, maybe doing it in Germany or the Netherlands would be better?
@@WoolavyLeeWilliams yeah would be that
Easy answer is to give them English second nationality, and then just commit them to their natural nation. Moukoko would have made a huge difference
If David Oldfield was so bad, how did he recruit 22 of the world's best players to the Dorset coast?
A top 4 of Spurs, Bayern, Brentford and Brighton in that last season. Is that not the weirdest bunch of teams😂😂
I'm a weymouth fan and this is the most recognition we ever get
Where can I watch Weymouth matches?
@@AventusMax you don’t want to watch them. They are playing awful atm! They are my local team

Busio is an interesting one, the USMNT coach doesn't rate him though he does rate some fairly worse players.

Didn't expect Oyarzabal to be the manager at the end
Very cool Experiment video Tom.

Why didn’t you include wonder kid zlatan inrahimovic
not surprised weymouth stayed up and thrived after experiment... PSG did send them a cheque for over half a billion...
My home town
Could you do the same experiment with the wonderkids playing for a Norwich or a Watford. Interesting to see if they would dominate and hit the potential ability.
After 15 years the whole team went to PSG for £30m 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 that cracked me up
maybe try with a transfer ban or a smaller group of players (or both), the results might be different if the players are given more opportunities
I think give them a good manager as well, maybe a young manager to keep with the theme.
7:06 why is Bayern Munich in the premiere league?
that bayerb part was so funny lol
Nice vid! How do you get the CA/PA view?
Uk annexed Munich?
@TomFM - when you did your review of 2044 at the end, it said Bayern Munich were in the premier league. What happened there?
TomFM that T Shirt rocks!

Weymouth going to be my Non-League save for FM23. Good choice Tom and great vid as always
Why are bayern in the prem?
9:41 Why was there a player called Roberto Carlos?
Regen
The fact that Roomy Barghiji wasn’t included in this hurts
could the odd appearances be related to you possibly having the players already in the tactic screen?
Brentford chilling in second at the end :D
Moukoko had no work permit for half of it
how do you get to see peoples potential and current ability of players , been wandering this

Tom can you give the norweglian leagues huge amounts of money? We're spawning superstars now, show us!:D
Is there a reason people often think CA doesn't go up after 22-23? Game tells you players don't peak until 26-28 right?
Do the training facilities affect the PA I wonder?
Which FM skin allows PA en CA to be visible?
Moukoko had a work permit problem after like season 3 so that was never gonna work 😂
But why would they stop developing when they turn 24?
Wirtz still loyal to Leverkusen after all these years
Up The Muff 💙💜
Isn´t the team fighting morale as well which plays a huge role in FM 22? I bet most players want to leave but cant.
I am not sure, but I don't think that happens when you have a transfer set up as in the video (PSG in x amount of years)
But Tom, where is Benjamin Sesko, your favourite player?
I hope this team view screen will be on steam , I'm getting rid of lollujos
I'm a Hull City fan and in a lot of these future videos,I spot us in the prem,Is this a sign?
Surprised zakharyan wasn't there
why no haarland?
Isn’t May 2031 season 9?
We haven’t got any wonder kids irl unfortunately and we’re shite
What if you put 1 Wonderkid in each non league team and see who did best.
Why is sesko banned?
I wonder how the finances looked at Psg after signing 22 old guys for 30 mio each.
just realised bayern munich is in the save in 2044
You're kidding there's no Sesko, right?
7:14 Bayern 3rd in the Premier League?
Maybe he should of trapped Guardiola with them, see if they could win it then
What the hell is Bayern doing in the Prem for season 10?

Pedri, gavi or tchouameni?
You forgot the homegrown rules
Work Permits didn't get issued. Go back and look.

Añgelo is a favourite of mine
I always buy him
Where is Arda Guler
OOOO FC Utrecht won the conference league
Did anyone else notice Bayern in the prem
They win confrence league😂
Up the terras
Your 24 up age players wont improve, because you will prioritize younger players with slightly lower current ability but way better potential ability
Wtf bayern München?
Dude they didnt play because they need a work permit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This experiment is crap you must do it again !!!!!!!!!!!!
