- The 1957 Chevrolet "Nomad" Wagon "Shomad"......I caught up with this way cool custom out at The SEMA Show 2016....These cars are cool from the factory so when you go to changing one....You have to be very careful not to lose the cool...Well They nailed it on this one...LS7 under the hood....With a working hood scoop intake....The House Of Kolor paint is perfect for this build....The all custom interior styled perfect.....The colors are right on....This is one cool Family Cruiser.....Check it out!!!..Make sure you Subscribe to this Channel and Visit www.ScottieDTV.com For new videos weekly!!

Hey Scottie I'm really into this Nomad. Perfect Color combo this is cool everything about it jumps out, the Nomad was rare when growing up. But they are so unique, the wheels bring it out on this one. A real show piece.. thanks again Scottie

came out great
The main trick was converting the two piece liftglass and fold down tailgate, to a one piece liftgate. But on that Nomad, it looks nice. Another rad video as always, Scottie, love it!

Nomads Are one of my Favorites as well! Sweet Build! but the Back side glass reminds me of a suburban,just something out of place there. Not sure if I like the Tucked Tires. Guess im old Fashion. Just love the orginals.

Me to. I would have kept that in the build and made it a focal point of the talegate, along with the Nomad Chrome strips on the tailgate, as is on the original Nomad!

I'm a big fan of these old station wagons too. My grand father used to have 1973 Oldsmobile custom cruiser wagon with the big 455 in it. He put a edel Brock 2 barrel carburetor and intake manifold in it. Unfortunately he sold back in the 80's for a new 1985 GMC S-15 with a 4 cylinder. I showed my grand father this wagon and he said this makes him regret selling it haha. But anyways great video Scottie

Nice wagon brother. I just wish the would have kept the rear quarter panel chrome. The sides just look to "slab" looking. That chrome and definition is what makes it a 57'. Just sayin' Other than that, I like it a lot. Peace brother. Kev

The only thing would have changed is I would have had all the gauges and steering column done in chrome. That would give the interior the needed extra pizzazz!!! Oh, yeahhhh!!

Yea Scotty man I love me a cool Nomad I grew up with race driver from a local chevy dealer he raced 67 impala but pulled with a 57 nomad they are sweet grew up out side of Denver I was a drag fan early, now that I'm old. I'm looken back at shoulda coulda wouldas, had I stayed in Denver. The Navy dropped me off in JERSEY, did the sales carrier thing lived a good life, after divorce now alone. Wish something different ya know like more cars and guitars rocken it, liven my life not carring what people think with that needing approval thing when I was younger in the way I did. Now lost dreams pinch the heart a bit, but I'm six feet up and still trying to put some of that dreams to work still bro. CA aint what I thought it would be, came here for my parents, now alone out here. Dont know were to go, no place to call home. It ain't this believe that. If I get this trust from a family member, might have to grab a ride out here. Just to go some were else, like maybe TX for some guitar fun, like I mentioned. Love my blues an southern rock with a nice car, figure a lady will strole in one day along this journey it wont be such a lonely life as it has been. These CA women can go straight to H E double hockey sticks far as I'm concerned, I haven't met a "Lady" yet. They are all nut jobs, getting over on a fella they will tell that to your face. I'm past all that crap for now, anyway, nice car there brother. Maybe meet you at one of the shows, cus I want to do some of that traveling around myself, maybe hit some drag races along the way too.
I hate that Brother....I didn't follow anyone's path but My own...Married once....No children....Moved to Tennessee 25 years ago,,,Love it.....I have been very blessed.....Thanks for Your service...I hope You get to enjoy a little life before it's over Brother....California...Love to visit...could not live there....

While it is a very well done car , I am a 55 fan and not a 56-57 fan at all. Never like the grill on the 56-57 and the fins on the 57.

That looks like when it was on bare metal...Before they painted it...Or had the trim chromed....hold the camera as high as I can get it.....and take the picture...
