CT crew is honestly goals af. How tf are there so many rad car guys in one spot that are all homies.. id move to CT just to be part of the crew if they'd let me lol
I think I can speak for all the subscribers in saying this. I’m actually really stoked to see these cars on the road. While you have many similar cars, they all have unique setups, and something we miss on TH-cam a lot is how these cars actually perform. We got to watch them get built, but we want to see them drive. It’s not empty content. It’s like the icing on the cake after watching them grow.
I went up to MA yesterday to pick up some uh "goodies" and I was struggling to find backroads, everything I went to was gravel. Found some decent ones, but next time I think I should drop down to CT for fun 🤣
Rhode island and Massachusetts are notorious for terrible roads. For some reason our towns like to fill potholes in during rain storms. It's a vicious circle.
Jimmy, make sure you do all the measurements. I mentioned in the last Couple / Slave issue video about shimming the slave - this is a thing for a few swaps I have had to troubleshoot. Depending on distances and components you may have to shim the slave to prevent overtravel. Just something to check so you don't have to keep installing/reinstalling and wasting time. It never takes long to measure, and can save a ton of time.
Just get an adjustable bearing. I’ve been using the tilton tob with my v160 and now about to use one on my t56. You just set the air gap and you’re good to go.
I love how jimmy is old school tuning this sr, mechanical boost progression is kinda what the og's were going for in the 90's, otherwise you were just kinda driving around on a fixed psi (gate) or had a bleed valve in there somewhere. The creep gives the top end power w/o the low end rod nuking torque. The mathematical equivalent of using an abbacus to tally your taxes, doable, at great time or expertise lmao
im telling you jim if you dedicate that S15 to be a dedicated track car "circuit not drift" and really it in suspension, brakes and tires you wont regret it especially at the 350-550 range its real fun amazing experience too
The black S15 is such a beaitiful car overall. Love how built it is yet is stock body. Only rhing id change is the bronze TE's with a set of the Top Sectet gold Volk GT-C's. One of my top 5 favorite wheels.
that gearset and 4;08 diff combo sounds so much better than the 5 speed and 3:64 diff we got in the UK in the 14a our auto diff was 3:90 and swapping that in made a 270/280 whp car near 1 second quicker 0>60 mph, the 15s set up must be gaining similar or more as it stays in the sweet spot
Fun fact, you can freeze propel bottles and all the flavoring will rise to the top. Then you leave the cap off, the top melts a bit and if you drink it it'll be SUUUPER sour
Bruh the driving angle 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 made me feel like I was sitting in the back seat… plus all the Sr20 noises gah… I need to stop fucking with Vws and get a Nissan..
Love seeing the in car mounted footage, just realized how much of a rarity it is on this channel lol, looks super cool being non go pro, super video gamey
The diameter of the plunger inside the brake master cylinder as well as the diameter of the brake lines should be taken into account when upgrading brakes because it plays a major role in the braking characteristics.
Glad you were able to get some fun miles in, those roads look great. Enjoy the heck out of some good back road fun. I take midnight runs at least once a week out on the local twisty’s near me
S14s had rear wipers in the EDM (euro) market. They also had rear fog light, sick rear lip, ugly white leather interior option, adjustable headlight, and of course the euro glass headlights
Dude, Bob Sharp Nissan had like 17 240s out front marked down like 6k under sticker that they couldn't sell the last year of the chassis here. Same for RX8s, Riley Mazda in Stamford had one or two the year after the last year, I think sticker was 38 and they were asking 32.
Love the back road driving Jimmy, do more its good to see you enjoying your cars
would love to see a series with that pov and better mic setup just driving and talking about the car, maybe like a mini podcast with one of the boys
Would be cool to see all his friends, driving all his cars, all with cameras, giving all there opinions and exspiriences while driving the back roads.
@@wishtheyunderstoodme definitely would be a great exspirience🔥
ikr i loveee when he does it
Seeing Tommy that impressed is rare. So stoked he thinks it's a fun car!
I love all the driving content, that angle kinda slapped, quality is 👌
Bro the angle was everything 😭
Jimmy freakin’ killed it with this!!!
"Slapped" lol took me back to living on the north side west coast.
Agreed angle is amazing
Your mom got slapped
Tommy is such a good addition to any video, such a damn good crew in CT!
No hes not. Trash
CT crew is honestly goals af. How tf are there so many rad car guys in one spot that are all homies.. id move to CT just to be part of the crew if they'd let me lol
Love how stunned and lost you looked when Tommy asked if the s14's ever had rear wipers 😂😂😂
its a jdm thing btw, rear wiper, been working on a s14 kouki with rear wiper

That’s your problem, MA roads suck, especially around the areas with all the, uhhhhh, “goodies” shops lol

Really like the back seat view driving should do it on all the Cars!
Respect for letting ant whip the brz in the heat
that matco tool cart at 9:42 giving off huge 80's toyota vibes
Rock auto sells the gm calipers that say Cadillac for like $115 each.
ct backroad driving is one of my favorite things to watch lz do when he's in town. would also love to see more of it out of you with all of your cars
I'm a simple guy I see Jimmy oakes driving I like the video.
Just get an adjustable bearing. I’ve been using the tilton tob with my v160 and now about to use one on my t56. You just set the air gap and you’re good to go.
Yup simple math
Agreed! Jimmy ripping the backroads feeling out the cars and having fun are some of my favorite videos!
Another sick upload Jimmy! Keep it up!
Tommy is a Schassis God and he fixed your boost creeps just by driving it hard. 🤣🤣🤣
I love how jimmy is old school tuning this sr, mechanical boost progression is kinda what the og's were going for in the 90's, otherwise you were just kinda driving around on a fixed psi (gate) or had a bleed valve in there somewhere. I think that’s one of the nices car reviews Tommy has ever given.
The bass boat gtr came out EPIC! so awesome to see you guys sharing the love and making these cars great again
Propel has been a new thing for me too jimbo. Be getting one every day at work and man they HIT
10:33 Ant left his shoes at papa toms
Jimmy please get some good tires for the black s15 so you can actually enjoy that beautiful chassis without worrying!
Lucky winner 🎁🎁🖕🖕🖕

I love back roading, so i got some much joy just watching you back road cruise, especially on that nice gloomy day.
That driving content is so good. As a local CT boy, I can appreciate a nice backroad rip lol
Lucky winner 🎁🎁🖕🖕🖕
The shifts sound amazing

18:26 thats suc a good shot. definitely need more ots shots

Jimmy needs that black 14. Then he'd have the trilogy all in black 🖤
Awesome video!! Tell Tommy we miss him!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
yes keen to see some more back road driving and just cruzing in your cars to work or on missions gopro was in a mint spot too
Can we please get Brian’s bmw done before the end of the season. I can say we would all love to see him rippin before winter
Jimmy made me love S15s again and that black one, dream car right there
that gearset and 4;08 diff combo sounds so much better than the 5 speed and 3:64 diff we got in the UK in the 14a

JIMMY! The backroad driving is great! Love the sound and video quality also! Keep it up !
If the brakes are too touchy change the bore of the master cylinder. Bore of the calipers and mc have to be aligned to the brake feel you want....
You should be able to space the slave to the correct tolerance which is around 3mm give or take
Great video Jimbo, good content. Really enjoyed the drive clips in fullscreen. Shout-out to Fyeah with that clean black Zen.
Definitely need you to do more of these back roads with this view!!! So sick!
Backroad driving was a fire segment 🔥🔥
Bruh the driving angle 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 made me feel like I was sitting in the back seat… plus all the Sr20 noises gah… I need to stop fucking with Vws and get a Nissan..
Tommy needs to not fuck around redo that 270R
zenkis are by far my favorite s chassis
Little hang around vlogs like these are nice, it's totally cool to upload these every now and again
Love seeing the in car mounted footage, just realized how much of a rarity it is on this channel lol, looks super cool being non go pro, super video gamey
I would love to ride my Harley on those roads.... that's beautiful country right there....
Backroad videos are the BEST
Yes, some s14's came with rear window wiper. I have seen some here in Finland.
Loved the driving part of the video. Awesome. The s15 is so good.
I always loved zenki’s wish I had grabbed a few chassis when they were cheap! Especially Matt Powers neon RB one
Saw you driving to Tommy’s shop. Car looks clean!
Tommy, LZ, and Oakes. The fucking dream team on TH-cam.
Yo i loved the driving POV. Its a great added variety to the shop vids. Keep up the good work Jimbo
I must say! That is a great in-car view, sick camera placement! Love the content Jimbob

could you share a formula?
Good morning, Jimmy, thanks for the timely upload, I just got home from work and was sitting here staring at my wall
I dig the backroad cruising
excellent footage , love how honest tommy is .
Damn that Zenki brought back memories. That’s how mine looked when I got it in 2002. And no, no USDM S14’s had rear wipers.
Great job diagnosing the clutch issue! Work the problem jimbo!
Glad you were able to get some fun miles in, those roads look great. Enjoy the heck out of some good back road fun. I take midnight runs at least once a week out on the local twisty’s near me
I really dig this camera angle for driving

Loooove to see the black S15 out! Was hoping the parts collection from Tommy’s was his blue option b 🤩
Loved the driving clips!!! Absolutely awesomeness
Lucky winner 🎁🎁🖕🖕🖕
Such an underrated channel. Such good videos
Finally a car that gets driven hard on jimmys manes channel. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Tommy puts up a hard vibe but I think his a cool guy.
Always follow this channel FC from Thailand ❤❤❤

The pov angle was really good! Maybe a bit shaky but would be mint with a stabalizer
im so used to hearing tommy shit on everyones car but seeing him enjoying yours is dope lol
Good morning Patreon gang
I wanna see more days where Jimmy just makes time to go drive for a bit, never gets to drive all the stuff he works on
My go to tires at the moment are falken 615ks or firestone indy500s
plz driving povs is what we’ve needed for the channel
Thank you for recording the back road drive Jim! It’s great to see you ripping
Lucky winner 🎁🎁🖕🖕🖕
The back seat pov looking forward as Jimmy drives the b roads would make a dope poster, I'd buy it
The back seat view is really good imo really let's you see how Jimmy drives
What happened to Rodknock? I don’t see any of his cars at Tommy’s shop.

You gotta get the black Z out a few more times this summer! That car is beyond dope!
Lucky winner 🎁🎁🖕🖕🖕
Ctsv calipers with 350z track edition rotors!
"So, that feels like a tomorrow issue" LOL, can relate to that 😂😂
This is why you measure the airgap on the slave
Jdm s14 , some came with wipers i know a friend that did the conversion
Good morning boys
2nd gen ls400 brakes are a good upgrade
hopefully you figure it out soon
I enjoyed this video driving enjoying the builds Tommy’s approval this was a great vidjeo
Driving clips are heat 🔥
I love the POV driving👍👍
the black s15 sounds like it would be a fun autox car
Hi Jimmy, for your clutch problem, maybe with a bigger clutch master cylinder you can get the right stroke.
4:36 Jimmy’s lower back left the building lol
Jimmy*
That pothole hit hard omg
It’s great seeing that car I owe a 1996 240sx SE SLICK TOP :) I’m the 3rd owner she’s not as beautiful as Tommy’s new one but shew !
