Sup guys ! welcome to my first quadcopter review :) Today we will have a look at the Syma X5C ( Syma X5C-1 ) Quadcopter with integrated HD camera. This one is from newfrog.com and can be purchased under the link above :)

The transmitter has built-in two modes, Mode1 and Mode 2.
The 6-axis system allows the quad to be hand launched.

These things are incredibly fun to fly! Mines survived some pretty harsh crashes too, really great little thing for the price. I have some extended batteries I had to slightly modify the battery bay for, so don't use my camera all that often though.

I have one and it has a blue and red light that blink simultaneously and I can't get it to record or take pictures. When I try and put the SD card into the computer it doesn't show any pictures videos it shows up but all of them have a time of 0 and when I try to play it the computer says can't play it may be corrupt or unsupported. Can you help?

I have a HiTec X1 charger I use for all my batteries. Works great, and charges pretty fast.
on that newfrog site it says x5c not x5c-1, is it really the x5c-1 version?

Anyone knows if two Syma X5C-1 can fly simultaneously, each with its own remote? I know that one transmitter can run two of them simultaneously, but that is not what I care for. I want to know if me and a friend can race them side-by-side.

Good overall review but there was some misinformation. It doesn't have a hover mode. The shoulder button on the right will only do flips if it is held and you tilt the control stick in a direction.
The reason why the remote sometimes doesn't work is that it needs to be put on a stable and preferably leveled surface then it will slow blink allowing you to sync it to the controller.
The battery gauge if functional but the signal gauge is fake and completely useless.
I'm not sure if my version is different but it came with a 4gb card and the left shoulder button changes it from low to high mode and the trim switch on the left of the throttle stick controls the camera.
The camera is also pretty decent if bright light. It is completely useless in low light conditions.
most lipos need a good charger indeed, but the x5c-1 just has a 1s lipo and for that a usb charger is fine
and always turn on the transmitter first.
The camera quality is actually pretty good acording to me. I sure want to get one now. My friend built his own tri-copter. But he has no camera.
for the price for sure :) But i want to see if i could upgrade the module.

Nope- HD stands for High definition= 720p (or 1280x720 if you want) and FullHD- stands for 1080p (also 1920x1080). FHD, or FullHD and HD it´s not the same :)
Wow that fpv you did was way to hard on the eyes to follow. I own a Phantom but enjoy the heck out of these syma's. I do video of my flights to thanks for the introduction.

hehe yeah I hated the preparation work as well, fix dents with bondo and sand the spots. The fun part is to take the spray gun and rock on lol but now when you have done it for some time it's quite fun actually to do the prep work aswell. But its not so good work for your health :/ its really dusty and strong odors from chemicals even when you have a mask its not good for your lungs , I can feel it allready just after 3 years. I have restored my Alfa Romeo 166 from 1999 with a total refurbishment with show paint first class and sport chassis, interior, etc :) the swedish alfa romeo club was so impressed so they called and asked if they could do a story that got eight pages of their magazine hehe. Its fun when your work pay off :)

The Lord Nilsson even when you fly steady it looks like crap. Get a mobius and you can fly also fast and it looks good. Btw. try to fly steady when there are winds like this..
