Lack of color saturation is intentional as it’s IPS for more accurate color. Kind of like how dull sounding studio headphones are used in recording for accuracy. Great review though thanks.
The reason this is packed so well is because it's fragile. I bought one of these to use between work and home, within 3 weeks the display was starting to give up.
I recommend buying a portable monitor with laptop quality case, not plastic
Okay at first I was impressed with the monitor as I've just ordered one for work.
Then when I saw the motorola desktop mode I was properly impressed as I didn't know about that.
I just got the desktop app on my Moto, thinking of using this, how is it working?
My over 5 year old Huawei P30 Pro phone already had built in Desktop mode for USB-C Monitors. No software needed.
I got this one to pair it with my new SFF Mini-ITX pc build. Can easily take my desktop everywhere.
What sort of power brick did you use to power the thing over USBC while you were connected to HDMI?

I belive 50% drain so expect half the battery life from tour laptop

Hey, I am not able to connect the msi portable monitor with my phone. I have nothing 2 I am able to project my laptop. Is there anything else need to be installed/done to project mobile screen

Not all phones support video output.
Nice video , but i need your help, i ordered this portable device , i tried to connect many smartphone with USB-C , like you did, but nothing happened ,USB-C to USB-C , with mi 10 t pro, mi 12t , mi 13t pro and LG velvet. Do i need a special App ? Always error message Type-C 2 no signal.
You need to buy a dedicated type c to type c cable with display capabilities. Most phones come with a cable that can do charging and data, but not display.
Should I need to turn on usb debugging from developer option ?
No. On my over 5 year old Huawei P30 Pro phone i could just connect the cable and set the display to desktop mode.
No developer mode or software required at all.
Bro what's the name of the app in phone you using?
Can you permanently mute it? The last thing I'd want it sound coming out of those tinny speakers, accidentally.

The OSD on screen shows where to click to save setting. I have this model, but seem to have been upgraded in 2024 and is called. "MSI Pro MP161 E2".
E2 is a newer version.
Mine came with Tripod support and also had 2 cables included with 90 degree angled cable connectors.
In most YT videos on this, there is no Tripod support and they came with standard flat cables in the past.

The monitor comes with a micro HDMI (plugs into the monitor) to HDMI connector which can plug in to any device with a HDMI output.
