We live on a cattle farm and my home is farmhouse/cottage and people come and love and look my house over but I just say, "thrifted". My sister is my best friend who goes with me alot but thrifting isn't her cup of tea until she see's what I'm buying and I re-do then she wants it. Yes its fun and I love it. I love your home, I always watch all your videos. I think I loved all of your baskets/wicker pieces in this video but lol, loved it all. Your home is beautiful!
I live in the Cascade mountains in Washington state. We have the most amazing thrift stores here! Most of my things are thrifted. I’ve never, in my whole life, purchased a piece of furniture new. My mom was a thrifter, and it’s not something that she ever said was the best way. I just fell in love with it as she would take me along. My kids are all grown now, and it’s been so much fun to watch them go from “thrifting is something that my mom does” to “mom, look what I got at the thrift store, isn’t it cool?” In a society that wastes so much, it’s so nice to know that my kids aren’t contributing to the problem in a major way. Not because I told them that we shouldn’t be wasteful, but because I showed them.

I have been an avid thrifter for years now and I can't ever really go back to "regular" shopping for everything. I still buy things new at stores from time to time but really thrifting is awesome especially when you enjoy the hunt itself!
I struggle buying things new at stores. 99% of my home decor and other home related items are all thrifted or secondhand. There are a very few things that I will not buy secondhand like our mattresses, socks, undergarments... you know, the items that you really want new and not used by someone else 😁 And I absolutely enjoy the hunt, that is the best part 💯❣️

I absolutely love the brown stoneware mixing/dough bowl 😍 I have always admired them but they are very rare in my area. Just this past summer, I hit the jackpot‼️ I went to an estate sale as an early shopper. The sale was on a Saturday and Sunday but I was going to be out of town that weekend so I messaged the wonderful lady running the estate sale and asked if I could possibly come a day early to check everything out because I wasn't going to make it the days that they were having the sale. She very kindly said yes. It was totally a God wink moment because there were so many amazing items that I had been looking for, plus so many other things that were not on my list, but I couldn't pass up. That is where I came across 3 of the stoneware mixing/dough bowls all 3 for $10 😯 I couldn't believe it. I also found an antique commode and an antique crockery chicken waterer. The commode was $5 and the chicken waterer was $3. I was blown away with the prices and super excited that I had first dibs. I got home and Google lensed the chicken waterer and it was a rare find. I could only find 2 that had been listed and one sold for $350 and the other one sold for $399. To think I only paid $3, I felt like I robbed her, lol 😆 Needless to say.. I finally got my stoneware bowls and had a trunk and back seat full of absolutely amazing finds 🎉 Again, it was totally a God wink moment 🙌 Thank you so much for sharing your finds with us ❣️ I loved pretty much all of them 😍 ❤️

Hey Nicole! I do love thrifting! Girl.....it has been terrible here in Louisiana! Our Goodwill is junk!!!! Other thrift stores have closed, I guess due to the economy. Even our Habitat place closed! I loved everything, are you kidding me? You found some great buys. That basket from Pampered Chef.....WOW! AMAZING! I wish we had somewhere to thrift! Might try a road trip! I love thrifting and I have found name brand items especially recently I found a Hobby Lobby pillow at a local thrift store for $4! It’s the pink with ruffles on it and I’m using it for Valentine’s decor ! I have decided where it’s going yet ! Either in our master bedroom or the living room! It’s the not bright pink but muted pink/mauve color!
All my furniture and bedding is thrifted. Much of my smaller decor is thrifted upcycled or diy. Loved the China cabinet and coffee best, but everything really... 😍
I love thrift shopping! It is something you have to enjoy doing because you can go one week and not find anything and the next week hit the jackpot. 😆I have noticed our local Goodwill carries a lot of Hearth and Hand and Threshold items that seems to be donated by Target so I have been able to pick up a lot of my items there. It is very inspiring to see what other people find on their hauls and how they use the items in their decor. Thanks for posting!!
Yes! Our goodwill gets lots of Target things on occasion too! I’ve found some seasonal hearth and hand decor in the past that I was so excited about lol Target clothing too new with tags!

Definitely going to check it out when I go back. Thanks for the tip and you do such a great job on decorating. We have very few thrift stores here anymore, but the GW we do have is quite expensive. No such thing as a bargain anymore. I remember going with my grandmother when l was young (over 60 years ago) and l still like to look for a "treasure" when l can.
Yes GW has definitely went up in price! Our thrift stores in our area have become very hit or miss but on occasion I’m able to find some great things. 🙂

I usually don't find anything, but every now and then I will find something cute for my small home. I love the hunt! The most exciting thing I've found was about a year ago... I found a large red Dooney and Bourke florentine satchel for $4.99! I was so excited! It's a $500 bag and it is the real deal, not conterfeit. I am a notorious thrifter 🤣 I’m currently making over my former roommates room into a living room and my most recent finds are an antique gate leg table for 60€ and a set of 4 folding chairs with Viennese braid and made out of cherry wood for 70€ . I‘d say out of everything I love the serving dishes and the secretary the most 😍
You did very well. I love the idea of the navy cabinets. The lamp is gorgeous. I would find somewhere for it. It looks so high end and good quality. I love the dresses and the top. Brown looks so pretty with that shiny beautiful hair of yours . I have the whole set of swirled white plates....love them. I wanted a new sugar bowl for the set , but thirty five dollars and I only paid seven dollars for the whole set. I love plates too...almost an obsession. Take care ❤❤❤❤

I really do enjoy treasure hunting but The thrift stores in my area aren’t full of neat blessings like yours seem to be. 😢 The secretary find was definitely my favorite furniture piece and the handmade little pot 😊was super cute
The pampered chef tray might have been mine as I recently donated it to Goodwill. It’s actually a trivet for their pizza stone, but I kept it for years as a tray (got rid of the stone a long time ago).

The thrift stores here are pretty picked over since we have a large immigrant population in Texas, I can’t imagine finding anywhere near the quality and amount of thrifted items that you find in your area. My favorite piece you showed today was the bench at the foot of your bed. That is an amazing piece to have found thrifting!!❤

PS,got a haul yesterday, two sets of dishes, Tuscan framed print, several baskets , large collection of rabbits with gardening attire. One set of dishes is Falsgraph Garden theme, Crystal large candle holder,new garden gloves. Think that is it; big haul for me!

Yes! Our goodwill gets lots of Target things on occasion too! I’ve found some seasonal hearth and hand decor in the past that I was so excited about lol Target clothing too new with tags!
@@Thesimplistichome I've managed to get it down to a science on how to hit three on an hour lunch break 😂😂but did not realize that they also get clothing in as well from Target. Definitely going to check it out when I go back. Thanks for the tip and you do such a great job on decorating. I do not know how to decorate at all but I am learning a lot from watching TH-cam videos. Thanks for taking the time out to create them and post them!

We have very few thrift stores here anymore, but the GW we do have is quite expensive. No such thing as a bargain anymore. I remember going with my grandmother when l was young (over 60 years ago) and l still like to look for a "treasure" when l can.
Yes GW has definitely went up in price! Our thrift stores in our area have become very hit or miss but on occasion I’m able to find some great things. 🙂

I love thrifted treasures but we don't have many places in our area. We have a Goodwill that I occasionally stop in and have gotten a couple of items. I am so impressed by your finds, I love the Southern Living tray, your hutch and secretary are beautiful and that haul of brass candleholders is amazing! You really inspire me! I love to thrift too and have been for about 30 years. I live in a small town and stop by the local Goodwill all the time. I usually don't find anything, but every now and then I will find something cute for my small home. I love the hunt! The most exciting thing I've found was about a year ago... I found a large red Dooney and Bourke florentine satchel for $4.99! I was so excited! It's a $500 bag and it is the real deal, not conterfeit. My favorite thing in your video is the Pampered Chef tray. Love it and everthing else you shared (hard to pick a favorite). I just found your channel and subscribed!

I am a notorious thrifter 🤣 I’m currently making over my former roommates room into a living room and my most recent finds are an antique gate leg table for 60€ and a set of 4 folding chairs with Viennese braid and made out of cherry wood for 70€ .
I‘d say out of everything I love the serving dishes and the secretary the most 😍

You did very well. I love the idea of the navy cabinets. The lamp is gorgeous. I would find somewhere for it. It looks so high end and good quality. I love the dresses and the top. Brown looks so pretty with that shiny beautiful hair of yours . I have the whole set of swirled white plates....love them. I wanted a new sugar bowl for the set , but thirty five dollars and I only paid seven dollars for the whole set. I love plates too...almost an obsession. Take care ❤❤❤❤

The pampered chef tray might have been mine as I recently donated it to Goodwill. It’s actually a trivet for their pizza stone, but I kept it for years as a tray (got rid of the stone a long time ago).
I found it at a locally owned thrift store last spring/summer ☺️ it’s such a pretty piece!

Hi, Nicole! Yes, I do thrift but not as much as I’d like. The thrift stores here are pretty picked over since we have a large immigrant population in Texas, I can’t imagine finding anywhere near the quality and amount of thrifted items that you find in your area. My favorite piece you showed today was the bench at the foot of your bed. That is an amazing piece to have found thrifting!!❤

PS,got a haul yesterday, two sets of dishes, Tuscan framed print, several baskets , large collection of rabbits with gardening attire. One set of dishes is Falsgraph Garden theme, Crystal large candle holder,new garden gloves. Think that is it; big haul for me!
