      He was quite good in 2002, 2004 and 2005 but it was in 2003 that he was really unplayable...30 wickets in just 4 matches at an average of 12 with 3 five wicket hauls and 2 ten wicket hauls...

    While some bowlers may ball at 160kmph these days ( think Starc etc..) .. no one has the attitude, aura and creates fear like akhtar. Legendary fast bowler with a great attitude.

To help you get an understanding of cricket not just a TH-camr version, the law is in the batters stance and to help you a bit more the thigh guard also protects the hip.     A reverse swinging full toss into the thigh pads at 154 kmph... Without a thigh pad that could've been disastrous for Lee...and thank god Akhtar's helmet saved him from that stingy bouncer from Lee.

    Unbelievable stuff. His pace and swing was so evident. I don’t see any new bowler who swings this much at this speed. Fans who saw Shoaib Akhtar bowling witnessed something remarkable.
    Those who call him chucker, I am sure if he was chucking ICC would have banned him. He went through numerous tests and cleared them. Those commenters are not true fan of cricket. Any true cricket fan knows that cricket is more than just one nation playing cricket. It is about appreciating players from all over the globe.

    During the early 2000s (when Australia was at it's most dominant), I remember only 2 fast bowlers during that period who terrorised the Aussie batsmen, and that was Shoaib Akhtar and Shane Bond.
